it`s a tad scary that we could possibly go into the new season ,with 2 injury prone centre backs(carter and wharton),a mard arse (hyam) and left back who can occasionally play centre back (pickering)
We'll plug that gap with a PL loan.
Not saying that's the right thing to do like but we've had some decent ones....one of the toughest positions to nail a place down IMO for a youngster in the prem but following loans to us there's been some obvious success stories. The championship is perfect for 'toughening them up'.

The Spain trip was announced way back in April, Waggott was still at the club then and I believe he was heavily involved in sorting it.
It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if the fuckwits we have left have no idea how to see it through and it ends up being cancelled π³

Fuck me, even Nixon adds a bit of meat to the bones, what even is this bollocks twitter account? Assuming they've never gor anything right?
Anyone using the π emoji in conjunction with alleged transfer news is a cunt, a massive cunt.

Oxford surely can't be paying figures quoted for De Keersmaeker, wouldn't that be a record signing for them? I'd be surprised.
Which means we're probably scrimping much more than the likes of Chaddy realise π€Β

To admit that you would rather have either of our current keepers over TK is to admit that in your eyes the club can do no wrong.Β
Fwiw I quite like Toth, but let's be objective about this.
Pears you're absolutely right on, if anyone disputes that they need their head testing.
Absolutely nobody at this stage however can really compare Toth based on 6 appearances, a third of which he kept a clean sheet in, 1 funnily enough against Kaminski's team who didn't. Give it at least another 10 games or so and we might be able to form a better comparison.Β

What has any of this got to do with you saying that you wouldnβt want him back - despite (I predict) the rest of us being unanimously agreeing heβs significantly better than both keepers we have now?
Not sure it would be unanimous.Β
I liked Kaminski here but he was hardly flawless, particularly towards the end of his time here. Last season he dropped a fair few clangers too.
However it's a bit early to say how good Toth is, but he's definitely warmed on me.
1m is cheap for Kaminski even if he is 32 though.

Right, so they've taken a look at him for 6 months and thought "nah".
They chased him for a few years, he was on the brink of signing in 2023 too but it collapsed literally at the last minute on deadline day. Brightons recruitment team get a lot right but I find this one a bit odd.

More likely to go back to Derby anyway Cashin π

Your views and opinions matter not to me - you are an irrelevance with seemingly little knowledge about the real world.
If you don't think my postings are credible then I suggest you simply ignore.
Hard to believe anyone thinks your posts are credible to be quite honest, youβve posted an insane amount of bullshit and never get anything right π

That's a really odd signing for Derby if they get him, presume they've done considerable homework on him to shell that out for him but the bulk of his career is university level π

In fairness, he has a point.
ΒFor example, this thread shouldnβt be the βtransfer threadβ it should be renamed; βRoversfan99/JHR/Mercer predict relegation, all best players sold, and all new signings shit, whilst Chaddy Inexplicably still reads their responses and replies constantlyβΒ
I guess you and others enjoy it, but personally, if it wasnβt for potential snippets of actual information every 100 or so posts, I wouldnβt bother.
Β
Every football message board around will have their version of all the posters mentioned. We're actually not so hard done to given that our fan base is relatively small. Imagine the Leeds message board with 10 or more Chaddy-esque posters on, I'd have to call it a do at that point.....

I actually thought Weimann would be a much more useful signing that Batth at the start of last season. I was wrong, although I'mn ot saying Weimann was poor, he did a job.Β Batth played more games than I expected and for the most part was excellent. I think it's a season too many for Weimann and he's creaking a bit, I'd be surprised if he manages more than 15 or so starts. Batth should have been kept, no question, he seems more robust

Shouldn't all the testing/complex pre season programme prevent the possibility of all that?
Never remember it happening when they just sent them off to run up and down sand dunes.
In fairness injuries can just be bad luck. I lift a lot of weight, 5 or 6 times a week, heavy weights. I pulled a muscle wiping my arse last year π€£

When we sign a player it's always a 'undisclosed fee', yet for a failed bid it's mentioned as 1.7m π€£ Even if we had put a bid in it would be for 200k with 1.5m in add ons for promotion etc.
The worst thing is, some people actually fall for it, just seen a twitter post saying we're and I quote "throwing money about this summer".
Blows my mind that after all these years there's still people that lap it up....

There's absolutely shit loads of teams in Spain, shouldn't be an issue finding opposition although the standard won't be great I don't think.
Real Murcia and Cartagena would be the obvious choices.....

Twitter rumour that we are away at Southampton on the opening day. Would be a horrendous opener.
Better on a Saturday in August than a Tuesday in January tbf, not that I believe it's a legit rumour like.

Lowe was here well before Waggott turn up here.Β
Ismael might not want so many coaching staff members on his team or wants his own staff in
I know he was here before Waggott π but I'm saying its odd he always survived especially given our turnover in backroom staff.Β
It's no surprise, none at all, that you'd think it was completely normal.

shame though as he was great for bets on to receive a bookingΒ
Yep good for betting but his childishness was ridiculous with pretty much all of his bookings, its hard to believe he didn't get clattered a bit more as a result. Looked like he couldn't be arsed half the time, there's definitely some talent there but I doubt anyone is going to put his attitude right and his face straight at this stage...Β

It's always been a bit odd how under multiple managers Lowe has never beenΒ replaced. If he goes now it implies he was either in bed with Waggott or Ismaeel has a bit more sway than previous managers. Pretty sure it's the first option.

My opinion is his critics havenβt got a clue yes, but equally your opinion is valid too and Iβm talking bobbins.Β
Thats how this messageboard stuff works.
Well no because I'm not saying anyone who has a different opinion doesn't have a clue am I? You're saying anyone with a different opinion to you is basically wrong/clueless π We've had years of Dolan splitting opinions now, it's nothing new and there's a reason for that, because he's been consistently inconsistent.

Find me a player who doesn't want to play at the highest level. I'd be far more disappointed if he didn't have that ambition.
He has never once said he should be playing in the Premiership now.
He has said it, multiple times, when specifically being asked about contract negotiations, not random interviews. If you don't think the 2 correlate so be it.

Lets be honest, Dolans critics on here haven't got a clue and certainly can't see any bigger picture.
If you go to Ewood week in week out and are happy to see Dolan leave, your seat must be behind a pillar in The Riverside.Β
RoverInverness calls it spot on, why would we want to lose a player lie Dolan?
Bonkers.
Haven't got a clue because people have different opinions? He was ineffective in many games last season, downright wasteful and frustrating in others. He did however turn in some good appearances, the best ones though came towards the end of the season, putting himself in the shop window at all? Nobody knows what he's been offered, but one way or another the valuations don't meet.

I don't know where you get this notion. Find me a single quote of him giving it the big I am?
He's said countless times he wants to play at the highest level, to a player in this country that's the premier league. Does anyone on here think Dolan is a premier league player?
Listen I'd prefer Dolan to stay, but none of us know what he's demanding. I doubt he'll ever amount to more than an average championship player though....

Weimann when interviewed listed his dingle goal has the best in his career π I do hope people don't even entertain booing him if he plays against us, can guarantee there will be some idiots with that mindset though "cOs He LeFt To JoIn ThE sNaKe" πΒ
