we're in agreement. if it was up to me todd would stay, and play a prominant role. not gonna happen, though -

we're not adequately covered at centre back (shown up by the fact that- zurab is suspended for sunday, with henchoz being his likely replacement). todd and matteo will be leaving in jan, so they'll be space for upson. -

maybe to put the fire out at newcastle. that's about as far north as he could go. i still need convincing over dowie's credentials. apart from a superb 1st 6 months at palace, which he deserves credit for, he hasnt really achieved an awful lot. he was being hailed as a 'footballing mastermind', by the southern media and most football pundits his short spell at charlton will damage his repuation, in the short-term, so... he'll just have to prove he's got "bouncebackabilty." -

i think there's every chance of us trying to get the pair of them. we could even sweeten the deals by offering andy taylor on loan. -

most man u fans support argentina, gaz. they're certainly in support of ronaldo. as their song goes (roughly...) "he plays on the left, he plays on the right let's all blame ronaldo, cos england are s...." -
harsh, on so many levels. who do you rate then gaz ? gally and.....

what player past or present does he remind you of ? i misread your post at 1st and thought: ''city want korean ? have they not learnt from the likes of lee, park and sun jihai' (the man who's said he doesnt trust mancunian barbers and only gets his hair cut when he goes back to china!) -
more than likely to be the latter, tchocky. jay's contract expires this summer, and -for want of a better analogy - he's drinking in the last chance saloon.
-
gally's not going to be included (from the start) while bentley's in fine goal-scoring form. i believe he could perform the bentley role with ease though, and he may even be a better crosser than DB. i might be doing him a dis-service, but gally's a great substitute and , with games coming thick and fast, he will be utilised to full effect in the coming wks. whether jon douglas is better than the axe is all conjecture. his goal at fulham aside, he didnt set the world alight, but he was dogged and decent defensively and would do a job in dire emergencies. FAO reserves watchers, i notice 'burnley's own'- gary stopforth has been capataining the reserves recently (maybe only in this lancs cup thingy), how good is he or can he be ? stopforth's profile ---- http://www.rovers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Squ...~556139,00.html

without wishing to sound like i'm on an EQUALITY and DIVERSITY soapbox, people should be judged on their performances rather than anything else. i'm unaware of Amy Rayner's abilities and whether her performance on Saturday was a one-off but, even if she's consistently poor, she's doing as good a job as most prem linesmen. I'd welcome any female refs and lineswomen into the professional game, if they are of equal standard or -especially if they are better than the 'male show ponies' that we have at the moment.

i didn't hold out much hope from the game, but i was a little disappointed by the end. i thought we coped pretty well with utd until Saha bagged his usual goal. ever since jeff kenna fell asleep in a lge cup-tie, v Newcastle, he's banged them in. his ewood goal ratio is staggering. if only we could sign him up ! interrupting the silence was a disgrace. from what i could hear; one guy shouted for everyone to be quite / "shut the ... up" and then arguments broke out. interruptions are usually blamed on late-comers entering the ground, but not on this occasion. it wasn't as bad as the Leeds fans disrespecting matt busby's silence, but it wasn't far off. on mr ronaldo - if he had a decent final ball, or pass, he'd be up there with the best of them. his antics are infuriating, but his talent cant be ignored. the linesman in the 2nd half (riverside) seemed to be star-struck by the men in red shirts. he should've paid more attention to the real star of the show -.... tugay! we've been dragged into a dog-fight, but i think we'll escape from the doldrums soon enough. however, a 6th place finish looks out of the question. it's necessary for some fans to lower their expectations, back to a normal level., - for the time being at least.

I've said he'd join us since we got our manager (although mostly tongue in cheek). Beckham's all-time hero is...... Mark Hughes. wouldn't surprise me at all. he might be passed it, but think of the PR (rovers would be known all around the world) and the huge amounts of income he would generate. the positives far out way the negatives. -
my thoughts exactly, bing.
-
errrrrrr...... fletcher was a disgrace to his profession last night and was outshone by david jones. i'd like to humbly apologise for suggesting we'd sign him on loan. ludicrous.

TODD AND MATTEO STAYING (well.... until january). http://home.skysports.com/club.aspx?clid=5&cpid=8 -
good presenter him. he played well in 'the match' a year or so back. maybe he'd solve our midfield crisis ?
-
maybe he's a fan of 'the monkees' ?

contradiction, if ever i heard one. -
maybe. however, he only plays on the right.... when ronaldo is either injured, or replacing giggs on the left or Ole Gunnar Solskjær is injuried. added to that, utd have a couple of great prospects coming through their reserves (namely richie and david jones) my personal opinion is fletcher wont be at man u much longer.
-
i agree, but he is in and out of the side and will play even fewer matches, once hargreaves signs. he'd be an option, IF man utd are willing to loan him out.
-
if, as looks likely, man u sign hargreaves (in jan) and money is tight at rovers - i wouldnt be suprised if we loaned fletcher. i'm not saying he's the greatest but, looking at it logically, he'd do a job.
-
i saw an interview with diouf, the other week. after it, the panel were commenting :"he's so mild - mannered, off the pitch." safe to say, they've never worked in mental health. there's madness in his eyes!
-
slightly over the top, ozzie. in fairness, i think vyeo has tried using the term 'scum' in context and it's been lost in the translation; "The most dominant is the Red Scum, led by the Sith Lord Darth Ferguson, who triumphed in 8 out of the 14 wars." just had time to read the preview, vyeo. brilliant.
-
and.... having just seen last nights reserve team - is currently playing RB in place of kane (who's been loaned to stockport).

he's frozen out. we'll only see todd again if we get a newcastle style injury crisis. the domino effect will likely be.... if henchoz is inj, neill will switch to CB. if he's inj - jay, then matteo, then nolan, then todd, then axe.
