  1. bellamy is set to be unleashed! his partner should be pongolle........... TURBO BOOST! (although bentley was our best player at WBA), tugay will be replaced by reid. unsure about this. yes reid battles, but he passes to the oposition more than his own team! i know tugay wasnt good on sat. but who's going to keep possession and provide the service for pongolle and bellamy? savage and reid? 1-0 rovers will do me!
  2. greggk:- you should hear yourself! you sound like a proper bandwagon jumper! i was there on sat. bad day at the office, that's all! no excuse for losing the faith. the team this year has surpassed all expectations and deserve more support. we should take a lead from the west brom fans, 23, 000, got behind their team from the start and never stopped singing and shouting. it was there 12th man (maybe 13th, shocking linesman on the east stand) and i wish ewood could be as loud!
  3. me too, badge in middle reminds me of the awful kit from 98/99 and we all know what happened that season! i had kit 1, the red lonsdale looks like a bow tie!
  4. watching him on weds i thought "he's trying a bit more" then i realised world cup only weeks away! reflects badly on him, hope he has a good world cup and we can sell him for a profit!
  5. looking forward to the trip. i'd take 1-0 TEAM NEWS:- team is as usual + reid to play centre mid, emo right, kuqi and bentley to continue upfront. subs, zurab, axe, pongolle, peter, enks.
  6. penny for your thoughts mr bellamy! cant see souey being too bothered.... 5mil will cushion the blow!
  7. i think last weeks tunnel episode got to taggert a wee bit! apparently when it was all kicking off, todd quietened everyone and shouted "if anyone wants a fight, fight me!" fergie was none to pleased! he waited for rio to leave the ground aswell last week!
  8. i'd say the crowd last night was calculated wrongly. i didnt see 6,000 empty seats from where i was. (riverside), maybe they were all in there ?
  9. really proud rovers fan today. couldnt fault any of the players (including gray and tugay, mistakes happen and they've both been superb this season). for the 1st time in years, we have a team that'll sweat blood for blackburn rovers. their fitness and desire is immeasurable. fans were brilliant, lets have more of that kind of vocal support, particularly at home!!! one last thing, how many crates of carling is graham poll gonna rec've for giving the big club a helping hand?
  10. mgp will play upfront tonight! gives us far more threat than bentley. peter will get his chance (too good a prospect not to!) as will andy taylor. both are highly thought of by the gaffer.
  11. not wishing to dampen the spirits, bellamy is only fit enough to be sub tonight (that's unless he's had a lazarus style recovery over night). made it harder but i'm still pretty confident. todd back, sergio wide left and ped upfront. lets rock the place like we always do!
  12. i recommend all football fans read this book :- Broken Dreams: Vanity, Greed and the Souring of British Football by Tom Bower. it'll shed more light into the murky dealings on a few of 'football's loveable rogues' ie, bates, venables and harry redknapp. redknapp has an 8 million pound house, that from a guy who's managed, bournemouth, west ham, pompey and saints? i wonder why he ships players in an out all the time? hmmmmmmm.
  13. reckon a straightforward win for once and i'd love savage to stick one away at the darwen end (not that they'll bring many, they never do, big club? not for me). 4-0 bellamy, the kuqi-monster, tugay and savage.
  14. much as i hate w**ky wanderers, rob styles decision is astonishing! once again, 1 rule for the big clubs and different 1 for the smaller. how many dogs are kicked on a saturday night because of decisions made by these boneheads! (dogs... boneheads, suprised myself there).
  15. from what i've read, sky's matches will be reduced from 160 to 138 and the other 22 games will be available to the highest bidder. typical EU nonsense, but what do we expect from idiots who say we should sell straight bananas ?
  16. i dont feel good about it, but i'm not going (out of protest). it's not as if they need the money! if all premiership fans (apart from the big clubs) boycotted the bridge it might make them think! i only tend to miss one away game a season, newcastle away, due to the horrendous view, unfortunately it'll be two this year.
  17. well said uddersfelt. (lineker ###### me off on saturday night, with his snidey comments) it's not the number that turn up it's how loud they are! (OLD TRAFFORD AND HIGHBURY ARENT EXACTLY CULDRONS!) the support on saturday was great, lets have more of it.
  18. sadly, bellamy is out 2-3 weeks with a thigh injury, my contact is as good as it gets.
