  1. Difficult for them to cover RB when they're both nailed on starters elsewhere.
  2. I think we wave the white flag when we bring him off the bench.
  3. Seems Hilton is nailed on as our #2 too, which means the Barrett signing was pointless.
  4. We needed another CB regardless with Wharton out for the year. You need at least 4 senior CBs. Ideally you need 5. We currently have 3, and 1 of them only has League 2 experience.
  5. Downing was the player of the season the year before, I believe, and had a much higher ceiling (England international).
  6. We did the same with Downing - he looked shite that season.
  7. We're on the verge of "if they were playing a game in my back garden I'd close the curtains" - and I've got a season ticket!
  8. They absolutely do not have financial problems - their owner is a billionaire. I know he's making them operate on a tight L1 budget, but that's a different matter.
  9. We were comfortably in the bottom third of the Championship for wage budget last season. I suspect we're comfortably in the bottom three now. Free Agents require more in salary to acquire. The Championship mostly doesn't have a pot to piss in on transfer fees because it all goes into wages.
  10. Along with Burnley, Hull and Derby. He's not coming here.
  11. You can't even trust it when he's at Brockhall holding the shirt up for the press release.
  12. One year deal with a one year option in the club's favour. I think it's pretty clear they're unwilling to commit to new contracts beyond 12 months because they have no idea whether the money will be there to pay them once the Wharton / Raya / Kaminski / Wahlsted / Telalovic / Szmodics transfer fees are used up. It does really feel like we're in the end times.
  13. They're selling everything of value to maintain their hold on the club - they don't care what division the club finds itself in. Clearly they're predicting that the Indian court case is going to go against them.
  14. It's more an indictment on the quality of Dolan and Gallagher than an endorsement of what replaces them.
  15. To be fair I'm not sure we'd miss Dolan and Gallagher.
  16. You saw it in the post match interview after the Leicester game with him and JRC - he was professional, but non-committal about this season. He wants to go and fair play to him.
  17. In a vacuum it's a good deal for us. That's a massive profit. Obviously all of the money will just disappear into running costs so these scumbags can hold onto the club for a while longer.
  18. Pretty sure Birmingham were taken over by rich Americans who give a fuck.
  19. Considering it's been delayed at least twice, I'm hoping very likely. Otherwise Rovers continue to limp along into oblivion.
  20. Hilton made a good low save diving to his right from a shot outside the box.
  21. Yes we can. What we know is that we have no pace or directness. Pickering can't get up and down that flank, Dolan is slow and Gallagher is Gallagher. On the other flank Brittain is quick enough, but he's not fast and struggles to get back when we lose possession high up the field. Sigurdson was terrible today, just strolling around. It's obvious to everyone that we need two new wide players and a #9. If Szmodics leaves we need a #10.
