  1. For what it's worth, Nat Phillips has looked completely untroubled by Szmodics and Gallagher.
  2. Their lad goes through the back of Tronstad - play on. Their lad nutmegs Hyam and throws himself to the ground - foul. Fun stuff.
  3. Fair play to these Cardiff commentators, they've at least done their homework.
  4. We've had to sell a whole host of players just to keep the lights on. Meanwhile Cardiff don't give one about their electricity bill.
  5. It shows a distinct lack of ambition by the CEO. He'll be employed with the remit to keep us in the league - both this year and going forward - with a shoestring budget. Look forward to being big, physical and good at set pieces for the next few years.
  6. I see Nixon is delighted that Wharton has done so well - his timeline is just him patting himself on the back for 'recognising' him, like a blind man on a galloping horse couldn't see Wharton was a special talent. He really is a twat.
  7. He was crap with England too. Zero time for Hodgson as a manager I'm afraid. Hope this health scare is just that and he comes out the other side fine.
  8. Who could succeed in this climate? He's sold £22m+ of players this year and only been allowed to spend £1.5m, on top of having his wage budget cut by 30%.
  9. £300k a year and Waggott still can't get a tailored suit. Bloody hell.
  10. If the relegated teams manage themselves competently then they go straight back up. Leicester, Southampton and Leeds all had their prized possessions pinched, but retained enough of their PL squads (with additions) to walk the league. The year prior, Burnley simply spent £40m on a brand new squad. For a parachute payment team that's peanuts, especially if you get promoted and start the cycle again. It's becoming a closed shop I'm afraid - albeit there's still a little time to kick in the front door, but I fear we've missed that opportunity.
  11. Neither is Markanday, but he keeps on getting the occasional game.
  12. Who's going to offer decent money for him at this point?
  13. He provided zero goal threat from that advanced position - we also have 6 #10s on the books already.
  14. I think Garrett's problem is that he desperately needed to play football, but we were so short of numbers that he was retained under JDT (who clearly didn't think he was ready) to occupy a place on the bench rather than sent on loan to L1. He hasn't developed like he should and is now going to be asked to play major minutes in a struggling side in a relegation battle.
  15. He was clearly a panic signing at the 11th hour when they realised the Venkys were determined to sell Wharton even without a loan-back option. Granted I expected more than 15 minutes out of him, but I fear that's all we'll see of him in a Rovers shirt. It really was an innocuous incident - it wasn't a kick, he stretched for a stray ball and stayed down.
  16. No, he's sat at home whinging that Rovers haven't offered him a new contract / triggered his extension despite just 48 goals (and 25 assists) in 221 appearances for Rovers.
  17. Buckley needs a rocket up his arse. He flashes being a brilliant player at this level, but drifts out of games and dallies on the ball at times. Sadly he's 24 and recently been sent out on loan which tells you that even Rovers have given up on him ever maturing. He's also a poor athlete, so asking him to be a runner in a midfield 3 is putting him on a hiding to nothing. Sitting in a 4-2-3-1 was, I thought, the ideal role for him, but we've moved away from that with Eustace.
  18. So your stance is that if someone isn't 50+ they've not earned their colours as a fan? Lovely stuff.
  19. Isn't that every Rovers manager since Hughes (bar Kean)?
  20. Who's the 'aggressive, hard bastard' in their respective teams?
  21. Pretty much. It's shite, but effective football - I hope that's not his mantra going forward, but I suspect it might be.
  22. So that was 5 paragraphs to say "I'd probably bring Ayari in for the injured Fleck on Tuesday" with the rest just being digs at our players? I love Rovers fans.
