Championship 24/25

I wonder if it's one of his legendary calf injuries. -
I'm in the complete opposite camp. I think he won the YPOTS award by default last year. He barely featured, but we didn't break many Academy prospects in last season. A. Wharton would have won it at a canter if he'd have stayed. Garrett needs a consistent run of first team football - I hope he gets it at Bristol Rovers. Currently his development has stagnated.

If Gestede shifts Markanday, signs a GK over Pears and brings in some pace I'll revise my opinion of him. -

Sigurdsson is a strange one. He's obviously very talented and the incredibly composed finishes he pulled out at the start of last year made me think we'd signed an absolute gem. That said his attitude, lack of athleticism and injury proneness means that we're probably better getting rid. -

Yes as Gallagher was neither a handful or clinical. -

Playing Dolan at #10 hides his lack of pace. He's always looked most effective playing as a False 9 (when we were shit out of strikers) where his initial burst, strength, low centre of gravity has helped him hold the ball up. -
Smacks of someone on the inside having their head screwed on and trying to give us a fighting chance of surviving relegation. Obviously the big gamble is whether Batth, McFadz, Weimann et al can still do it at this level - but that's why they're frees. They have bags of experience, which is what JDT was always screaming out for. You're right - we still lack pace and another striker and a bloody GK, but I suspect they'll all be loans.
