  1. I tell you what, if we had a striker we'd be ahead here.
  2. We're going to run out of steam on 60 minutes btw - we're working our socks off here.
  3. Ref's bottled that - Gallagher was just fouled through on goal.
  4. How has Morton wormed his way back into the starting XI?!
  5. I'll be brutally honest, I've clearly subconsciously refused to commit any of the last 12 years to memory because I've no idea who Chris Taylor is, or that Millwall game. I barely remember who Appleton is.
  6. You need to prepare: "Get in!" and "F' VAR".
  7. What are they going to do, deduct points? Refuse to kick off until we do so?
  8. Nothing has actually been proven. I've also hated the heavy-handed approach the club has taken with fans after the fact. We've very much been tarred.
  9. Chelsea's owners are in another stratosphere of wealth.
  10. I don't know anyone that sits near me in the Jack Walker that will accept absolute shit. They will accept that Burnley have spent £40m+ in two transfer windows on promotion - you have to be realistic. Football really is the epitome of money talks.
  11. Ah yes, one can never see enough of City on the television.
  12. This is surely the main match of the day, right? Two ex-Premier League winners - the story writes itself.
  13. I heard that on the radio this afternoon - there are only 3 domestic trophies up for grabs every season. Yes the League Cup is the lesser of the three, mainly due to the prize money associated with it, but it's still a great accomplishment to win it. With four or five teams absolutely dominating English football at the moment every trophy should be celebrated 'cos they gobble most of them up.
  14. It doesn't help that Phillips, Garrett and A. Wharton are away with the First XI.
  15. Well if our £20m Chilean striker had slotted away that sitter or a competent ref had given a penalty for the foul on Pickering we would have won. Wigan didn't lay a glove on us.
  16. The problem they're going to have is that they've spent £40m+ on an entire squad of top level Championship players that are all going to need replacing if they want to survive in the Premier League.
  17. What are we, 8 unbeaten and just picked up 9 points from 9 points in the league and this is the first thing you can think about on a Sunday morning? How the other half lives, I guess.
  18. For the record, both Hyam and Carter are better than Lenihan. Rothwell got on against City today during Bournemouth's spanking, so he'll be happy...
  19. I can't take him seriously - he looks like a 50 year old ex-rocker about to go on a night out whilst stood on the sideline.
  20. Which is why they made minimal effort to re-sign him. He'd be lovely to have on the books as cover for RB and CB, but he doesn't bring enough to the table going forward to be considered an excellent modern FB.
  21. To be fair the loan would have been good for him - he needed a run of starts at any professional level. I'm glad it's worked out with us in the Championship, but the theory was sound. The same thing is happening with Pears too. With regards to how he plays - Brittain is the style of FB that JDT wants. If you watch closely they have Travis covering for JRC when he gets upfield because he still isn't athletic enough to get back properly.
  22. I don't think it's any coincidence that since Buckley has come back into the side we've gone on an excellent run of form. He's now getting a run of games at his best position - he's only going to improve from here and he's already very good.
  23. Sheffield United absolutely battered us at Bramall Lane - one of the few teams that have looked a different class to us this year (the other, realistically, being Burnley). I'd be very surprised if we got anything out of the return fixture, although they are having a little wobble.
  24. Probably a comfortable 7/10? He adds pace / physicality / directness to the attack and he works his socks off in defence. He wasn't outstanding today, but he contributed to an excellent team performance.
  25. We haven't missed Ben Brereton-Diaz one bit.
