  1. The fixture congestion is causes is ridiculous. The season has already been disrupted due to a Winter World Cup but now we have. 2 games a week for the rest of the season. Those with the stronger squads benefit massively from that.
  2. No chance. They're not a bigger club and they're in danger of passing each other in the leagues.
  3. Wait, they're making their own threads now?
  4. If that same person was incredibly handsome and also shouting for JDT to use subs from the 70th minute onwards you might sit near me in the Jack Walker.
  5. I couldn't understand why Ince switched him to the right wing when he was giving JRC fits for the first half an hour.
  6. Not when it's a squad game and you have 8 matches in a month coming up with 3 unused subs.
  7. I think he's a fantastic Head Coach / Manager. My only real criticism is that he's reluctant to use subs. At full time against Reading (a game that we should have run away with - but he can't score the goals himself!) Szmodics, Gallagher and Travis all dropped to their haunches exhausted. He could easily have put Garrett and Wharton on for 10 minutes at the end to add energy / save Szmodics / Travis. We're going to really, really struggle in April if he continues to be so reluctant to use the subs.
  8. Morton passes backwards and sideways (and ducks out of tackles). Wharton, Buckley (and Garrett) have taken the game by the scruff of the neck at times and driven us forward. As I said, it took 70 minutes for Morton to turn on the ball and run into the acres of space in the centre of the park (and even then seemed unsure what to do with the ball). He's been a good loan signing because he's 'fine' and has been available all season, but at this point he should be 4th choice for the CM role.
  9. Those highlights are a tragedy - we absolutely battered them. They did score a wonderful goal though, to be fair.
  10. My two complaints (three really as he doesn't fancy a tackle) tonight are that their #8 just sat on him and took him out of the game - Morton stopped moving cos he considered himself 'marked' and when he does get the ball he just gives it back to the CB. He's a pointless player - I'm sure he'll go on to have a brilliant career, but I'd much rather see Garrett and Wharton play.
  11. Too tired to give a full review, but my immediate feeling is one of relief. That should have been a cricket score, but somehow we ended up clinging on (against 10 men no less) because Gallagher and Brereton fluffed a hatful of chances and JDT refused to sub tired players.
  12. I thought Morton was terrible tonight - took him 70 minutes to actually turn on the ball and drive into the acres of space in midfield.
  13. With the form the chasing pack is in, not picking up 3 points tonight makes it incredibly difficult to finish in the Playoff places.
  14. I didn't realise Broughton was the Club Secretary and CEO too.
  15. They're building nothing by having 5 loan players (don't they have 7 in total?). I'm delighted to see the back of those days.
  16. It's almost like we've got a weak squad that isn't going to be firing on all cylinders every match.
  17. Yes and no. He became a very lazy player as he got older - Utd wanted rid because he wasn't willing to close anyone down, preferring to conserve his energy for attack. Also he's a psychopath.
  18. Good lord we've touched a nerve, haven't we.
  19. I gather Dack is seen as an intellectual in the dressing room - make of that what you will...
  20. It's high time the EFL took a firmer stance on this, or cheats will continue to think they can prosper. Fines and embargos are proven not to work, a team needs to be made an example of. Relegation from the football league seems the only sensible course of action to follow.
  21. What, are there no good Union coaches knocking about?
  22. We're not a quick team - I'd say only Thomas is genuinely quick. Gallagher is surprisingly quick for his size I guess. I'd fancy myself in a footrace against JRC and Pickering.
  23. Don't be so sure - this season could still go either way.
