  1. I wish Mowbray had been held to this impossible standard.
  2. Waggot has conned another one I see. Broughton got O'Brien through the door. Waggot and his Secretary failed to complete the paperwork. The blame lands firmly at his feet.
  3. Depends how much he cost and whether we brought in a striker (or 2) to get on the end of his crosses.
  4. Sorry mate I've already conceded the point. The football is shit. JDT out.
  5. No, you're right. I was wrong. JDT out.
  6. Depends which 'certain' players those are.
  7. We didn't beat Coventry and PNE due to blatant cheating and a fluke. We didn't draw against Burnley due to incompetent refereeing. The football has been very good - we simply don't have any quality in the front 3. We've CLEARLY progressed as a team - if you can't see that then I can't help you.
  8. Mainly because when we started the season I thought we'd get relegated. We're playing some great stuff now, after grinding out wins at the start of the season.
  9. They made a documentary about that class because it was so abnormal - and they still backed it with millions and millions of pounds.
  10. Kaminski was our player of the season pre-injury. Buckley has come on leaps and bounds, so have JRC, Carter, Pickering, Travis and Pears to name a few. Dack is finished I'm afraid and you're just polishing a turd with Gallagher - although we do miss him when he's not in the side.
  11. Yes, Scholes was a Manchester United Academy player. He'd have cost an absolute fortune to buy.
  12. Much like last season was the season to do it? You're always in with a chance of sneaking into the Playoffs in this league. Luton and Millwall are no great shakes this year. Barnsley weren't last year (and Notts Forest were nowhere before they went on their run).
  13. Losing Brereton-Diaz, Dack and Ayala from the wage bill has to be a substantial saving (for very little return)?
  14. He was on the pitch at the start of the match warming up with the subs, so I assume so.
  15. You can win with free agents and loans, if you get the right ones in. We need a new front 3. I'd love to sell Gallagher and I'd snap someone's hand off if they gave a decent offer for Dolan and Travis.
  16. JRC, Carter, Travis, A. Wharton, Hilton, Phillips, Leonard and Garrett
  17. By letting them amble over to every throw in? They played him for the fool that he is.
  18. Did he buggery. He let them time waste from the first minute.
  19. We had 8 Academy players in the squad again today - with the best will in the world you can't expect a promotion push with an Academy propping up the First XI like that.
  20. Honestly, it's over - the players looked absolutely gutted on the lap of honour. They clearly didn't want to come out.
  21. I was embarrassed for Hedges when he couldn't stand Bell up when one-on-one. That's grounds for retirement.
  22. They're just honestly not good enough. There's no shame in it as they're trying their hardest (bar Brereton-Diaz), but Mowbray left the cupboard bare.
  23. He can't score the goals for them - and I suspect he'd be our best CF if he put his boots back on. Hedges, Dolan, Gallagher, Vale and Thomas aren't goal scorers. Brereton-Diaz was before he mentally switched off when he signed his contract in Spain - oh and Dack is finished. I would have liked JDT to give Leonard more game time, but again that's asking an inexperienced 19 year old Academy graduate to win the game for you - they're already asking all of the play to go through A. Wharton.
  24. And he had us 2nd at the World Cup break. Why wasn't he backed with a quality striker on loan? Preston have 3 of them ffs. We'd be comfortably in the playoffs, if not pushing for automatics, with a goal scorer.
  25. I feel really sorry for him - he's the best manager we've had since being relegated from the PL and he simply hasn't been backed. We play some lovely football and a good number of players have improved dramatically under his guidance - I'll be sad to see him go in the summer.
