  1. What I meant is I outlined in the other post (dunno if you saw it) why I think we'd have a very good case at an appeals panel. I think it would constitute exceptional circumstances personally. As for Pasha, the more likely we are to not be able to do the purchase after dragging it out, the more 5k will look like a bargain to him 😂🤡 You would have thought that. I'd also have thought they'd be interested in protecting domestic youth players getting their own opportunities.
  2. So even though he would have already made his senior debut for us, he could make it again in a sense, in the league? That's a bit better. This whole thing also means we can sign anyone under (what age?) play them off the bench for a minute in the league and automatically qualify them. Silly stuff. The only limit is how many slots we have free at the time to do so.
  3. Or we could just go to the appeals board. I'd be surprised if we couldn't get it through, for reasons I outlined in more detail 2 pages back. I'm certain he's been reading, or somebody has fed the notion back to him who has been reading here. He isn't a good enough journalist to think of it himself and look into the regs thoroughly.
  4. So, if he played a minute in the cup, then played the full match at the weekend in the league, we would only get the points from him making his debut in the cup? This is honestly such a stupid system they've put together 😂 (I know the minutes are irrelevant btw, just emphasising how silly it is)
  5. Probably a combination of factors. New manager who may be more concerned by other positions. Growing faith in Tyjon being able to contribute as he is a bit older now. But, since I'm fairly sure a striker was mentioned earlier in the window, I think the biggest one is probably the exodus meaning other positions have changed in priority and that's sucked the budget up.
  6. I think we're comfortably at the point where I put credence in Wilsden confirming what Jackson says, more than Jackson confirming what Wilsden says. He's also missing the third option of going to the appeals board. One thing that doesn't seem to have been discussed here...I'd expect even if Miyoshi's game in the second tier knocks his points down, it shouldn't be too hard to argue to an appeals board that he would have qualified a week ago and isn't any worse a player now. Japan international, experience in the Bundesliga, Championship, Belgian top flight. Prime years. In his recent season at Brum he played 43 Championship games which would have auto qualified him if it had been applied for but obviously he had a release clause so that didn't happen. Seems a no brainer for a panel to me.
  7. I'm not sure he can be considered that much of a threat yet at 17, I'm more surprised because we are trying to persuade him his future lies here. I may not be in favour of starting him just to do that, but he should be making the bench unless he's injured.
  8. Miller's very first throw I think it was, created a chance. Sadly it fell to Mcloughlin, who showed us why he didn't score in 6 years for Hull.
  9. I can't see the logic in this. He wasn't just getting some attention, he was being wrestled. There were that many bodies I didn't see it clearly until the replay which is a bit of a closeup, so I get why the ref missed it. But you can't keep your balance when someone is all over you like that, and if you can't keep your balance you can't clear the ball cleanly. If it had happened at the other end of the pitch, I wouldn't be giving a striker grief for failing to strike the ball cleanly either.
  10. 'A very poor clearance from one of the new boys Alebiosu' Well Kevin, it's pretty hard to do a good clearance when you're being wrestled to the ground.
  11. As I said earlier, I didn't see the first 30 minutes so I can't comment on that. As I also said before, it's irrelevant what Travis did to the goalscorer because Alebiosu was fouled first, and the goal went in anyway. No, it's just his fault he gave a goal that shouldn't have stood and failed to give us a clear penalty.
  12. If the referee had made the right decisions, we would have come away with at least a point.
  13. I didn't notice, but why does that even matter if Alebiosu was blatantly fouled before that though? Plus the guy scored so they would hardly have given a penalty.
  14. God I hope we let him go when his contract is up (or sell him before, 10 quid will do). But I can't help but think we won't want to miss the chance of extending a contract for a player who isn't in demand elsewhere, just to show we can extend senior contracts sometimes. He is gash.
  15. The Ribeiro free kick after the red? Because that was a terrible spot to shoot from unless you're a free kick specialist. We don't have any of those. The cross was the right call.
  16. Fair enough. I've no idea why you read it as that.
  17. Not many teams tend to look good in the first game of the season. Full match sharpness is rarely there yet. I don't think we have been worse (caveat - I did miss the first 30 minutes). Looks like an even game, we just haven't had penetration. Neither have WBA really, they've mostly just launched it from distance while I've been watching. Their goal should have been disallowed (I do get how the ref missed it though) and we should have had a penalty, so could have been 1 nil to us at half time. The Championship referee lottery will continue this year.
  18. What MGP always wanted to be able to do.
  19. Just seen why Mcloughlin didn't score in 6 years for Hull.
  20. Seeing a replay of their goal, is Alebiosu not getting dragged all over the place when trying to clear? Looks like it shouldn't have stood to me.
  21. 'Teasing low ball' our commentator called it. Nah mate it was just shite.
  22. Must be a Dingle working at Google. It seems to be back to normal now.
  23. Seems daft to be discussing Cantwell leaving at such length when there aren't even any rumours about bidders or him wanting out.
  24. Under normal owners that would be lovely. Under this lot it's taking the piss.
  25. I'm sure it won't be long before people are using them passive aggressively like the laughing emoji.
