Chaddy - regardless of cost - would you pay a million quid for a season ticket? Your posts are idiotic at best. Regardless of cost?

Chaddy the forklift driver trying to justify himself - infuriates me.

Think before you speak - we had a good win and then you blast people who dont go. Get over yourself, I earn more in a week than you do in a month packing boxes,.

Very strange comment, why does everyone seem to jump on Chaddys comments, don’t know the guy he ,just seems to be a positive bloke who’s Rovers through and through, and you’re ridiculing him re his job, just had a 48 hr ban on here for a lot less than what you’re coming out with,Mods need to have a word here.

It’s a place of opinions, one person’s ‘doom and gloom’ is another’s realism.

Threres nothing more tiresome than people banging on about others ‘positive’ and ‘negative’ posts.

Well you have to respect my opinion as I have others, end of the day most,(not all)have Rovers at heart, just show it in different ways, let’s all hope for happy compromise on the red button/season tickets.

Presuming you mean that we need more staff on match day, thats not a valid reason for me at all, as I suspect that wed get a small increase in supporters to offset the £3 per person.

12 in 69 as it stands. The thing is chaddy, a point you continue to miss, we arent talking about massive changes. But that is a significant swing considering its a totally new factor to think of.

Surcharges, you agree, but surely thats hypocritical, as that is "moaning" in your eyes when things are going well on the pitch?

You also then go on to suggest lower ticket prices. So why the problem with others "moaning" about the prices?

I dont have a major problem with Waggott, I just have problems with some of his policies, of which youve just shared similar criticisms.

What has he done at all personally that you consider to be him "trying hard to get harmony with fans" may I ask? Ramping up prices or moving some from where they want to sit without explanation isnt that. Maybe hes doing something that im missing?

Just trying to write something constructive, ha ha no chance with some of you on here, doom and gloom, there you are that’s different from moaning. What would you do next season if you were the man in charge?

If you mean Mowbray by management, nonsense. People will always judge game by game but overall hes got the whole fan base behind him. Anyone saying hes doing "a decent job" will not get any detractors.

If you mean Waggott, please feel free to tell me what tangible improvements he has made, what he has done that is good? People have criticised him for valid, individual reasons. Pricing, surcharges, kick offs, moving the Darwen End, all things he is responsible for.

Yeah, how is Waggot to blame for kick offs, been like this for a few years, police and safety officer, Darwen end, can’t see a problem moving them and leaving that end for away supporters, surcharging agree, no need for them, and pricing in hindsight with the red button I follow etc, need a new pricing structure, like Sharpe said today on his Q/A they have tried cheap tickets, not worked, think if I was running the show, next season, to try for an 1 year experiment a £200 season ticket, all over the ground, £100 u/16 and on the day match tickets of £20 for HOME supporters,  no cat A,B and C and crucially charge AWAY supporters the same as we get charged, £20 for West Brom if in same division and £38/40 for Leeds etc, we obviously differ in views re Waggot, it just seems to me he is trying hard to get harmony with fans and owners, all that above if obviously we have a decent season, finish half way up the table, and try and push on for promotion next season with hopefully a few more watching.

That’s football fans for you. Takes all sorts.

Some are really committed, some are ‘pick their games’ types, some prefer going away, some are loosely fans of their club but not particularly arsed, some just moan about the club even though they’ve not been there since 19xx and so on.

So not sure what your point is unsall and why it means we shouldn’t be concerned about crowds now and in the future.

No,not saying not concerned because it will affect crowds, but if clubs decide to go down this route, will have to be cheaper season tickets.

Won't make a scrap of difference Matty. People mainly either want to go or don't. Obviously there are those who can't but the majority are just looking for reasons to justify not going. The lost 10,000 won't return till we are back in the PL and even then I have my doubts.

You’re so right there, excuses all the time, blaming the owners, management, players etc, what they really mean is,they want premier league football, nothing new we’ve always had crap gates for leagues below top division, bumped into someone yesterday who had stopped going last year, said have you gone back yet,he said I nearly did,but they went backwards again, not proper fans just glory hunters, not just Rovers, many teams same.

Yeah, so it needs to be one or the other. If they're desperate to accept the money then they have to use a significant chunk of it to persuade people to go to games rather than watch on tv. Alternatively, which i would prefer, though I can see why others wouldn't, is to send the money back to Sky and return to how it was before this season.

Nothing new for massive teams like United,Liverpool etc they have had their games moved for years, but when impacts on teams like Rovers, with low crowds,it will  be a problem, like I say we could have to wait till next season to see if season tickets are cheaper, because I think the EFL are tied in for a few years, but on a personal view I will be at Ewood regardless,go to quite a few away games, only times it will benefit me is something like Swansea away midweek, but can understand guys who go every game home and away will not be happy.

The discussion was about how the red-button may impact football attendances. If you recall it has been Waggott and Mowbray who have been 'moaning' in the press that attendances are lower than they expected.

Obviously it will impact on the fans who are couldn’t care less if they watch it live or on tv,won’t impact on the core fans, but some on here who blame season ticket prices are too high will blow £150 on a weekend on the drink, think Waggot and TM just thought we might have had a few more on,after promotion and the transfer business and renewing contracts, unfortunately Sky has slowly been taking over the whole of football from 1992,with dangling the carrot,(more money) and the EFL have took it,if it ends up with cheaper season tickets, could be the answer,we will find out next season.

The average match ticket price for the Riverside for an adult (ignoring the ridiculous surcharge) across all the equally ridiculous pricing categories is £21.

If this season continues as I expect it to then there will only be about 12 home Saturday 3pm games e.g. approx. half our home games will be on TV and will be held at times that are difficult to attend (Saturday mornings, Midweek, Saturday tea times).

You could therefore buy individual match tickets for the 3pm Saturday games for a total of about £250, and stay at home and watch all the others on TV, whilst saving £100 on the price of a season ticket.

I'd personally never do such a thing, but I fall into the bracket of devotion on a religious level, have the disposable income and live 15 minutes from the ground. I can easily see other people who live further away, or who don't have the same determination to attend games, starting to wonder about it.

    So what’s the answer?

People want the best for the club unsall, simple as that.

I’d love that to be true, I don’t come on here much, but there always to be the same people moaning all the time, blaming COE marketing boys/girls,office staff, just feel things are getting a little better with the owners since SW and T M came in,but like you said let’s hope the people want the best for the club?

Are you saying you want cheaper season tickets or not? Your seem confused.

Obviously everyone would like cheaper tickets, but I don’t think they are overpriced, but if all this new money from sky comes in with red button etc, they could end up cheaper, and btw I’m not confused just pisses me off with 80 % on here always moaning about something re Rovers.

    Voted no..

I will always have season ticket at Ewood. Nothing will change that at the minute.

Yes I have Sky so it might change my mind about attending some away games but that will be minimal on my part. I have no problem with Sky broadcasting midweek games as some fans wont be attend for various reasons but can see the game whether its live or not.

Yep that’s about right, I’ll still be there and don’t do many away games, could end up with cheaper season tickets,to counter it,because there are plenty on here who think season tickets are too dear,I think it’s just about right, probably middle of the road in the division, need to give them away to please some fans.

  13. Spoke to someone after the game, and no not the groundsman uncles brother, but someone who is actually involved in the transfers, and he said the latest is the lad from Forest is pretty certain,Reed from Southampton, still hopeful of signing him as well, asked about Chapman and he said Pulis doesn’t want to sell him, possibly change if they sign someone else,T M asked  about him last night up at Boro.

The Tony Mowbray effect in action tonight. Rockets up backsides at half time. Rothwell a real player. Lets hope nothing too serious for Arma (and Dom and Palmer).

Palmer not injured, family problems back in London, hopefully back on Saturday.

  15. At least 3 signings, possibly 2 before weekend,1 is out of contract premier league player, another,a name that’s already been banded about, and the third is the most complicated transfer, Brereton from Forest, probably early next week, let’s see what happens?
