I'm not sure to be honest. People are tipping Birmingham to struggle because of their embargo and lack of new signings but they've an ok squad and haven't sold anyone. Brentford always seem to do well and surpass expectations. Wigan we finished below last season and we're currently weaker than then. We will have to finish above Rotherham and Bolton, and should be capable of finishing above Millwall.
Yet Millwall had a good season, have you ever been positive re Rovers?

Nuttall supposed to be in advanced talks with Bristol Rovers for season long loan

Pessimistic, think that’s the word for most Rovers fans, plenty of time to get the 3/4 players we need,TM talking to my mate at the blues bar kit launch last week didn’t seem too concerned, did say the World Cup has cocked the window up this season, clubs took a lot of players away, did mention the young striker from City who he hopes to get on loan, also mentioned the scouting system now in place, where value for money is what they want, the French league 1@2 is definitely where they are looking also the Spanish 2 div, reasonably cheap leagues, but the German leagues top money like the English leagues,so who knows who we’ll end up with, all these players like Harrison etc who fans say we’ve missed out on,we might not have been in for them,my mate did mention Armstrong and he gave a wry smile and said the plate is still spinning on that one,we obviously would take him but not at £3 mil, either get him cheaper at last minute or another loan deal, let’s see what happens next two weeks and hopefully bring in the C/H,winger,and two strikers we need,I’m still optimistic,we’ll soon find out.

Are people really holding off on buying a season ticket until someone signs?
Genuine question
No I don’t think so,just might make someone’s mind up who thinking of getting a season ticket,to get in and save a few quid, before the deadline.

Because FFP is nonsense and they know it, and also because their owner wants to get promoted. Just like Wolves, Derby, Sheffield Wednesday and all the others, none of whom have been sanctioned despite tens of millions spent.
No doubt some will say 'but poor Rovers only get small crowds and they get bigger crowds than us' as though an extra 5,000 a week turning up in the Championship equates to that sort of money.
The only ones incessantly bleating about FFP are those who want to hide behind it and not spend.
But Rovers Leeds,Forest have had embargo’s already, very complicated ffp,it’s a gamble to throw big money and not get promoted as Villa are finding out,

You would like to think that something might be in place for being announced tomorrow with the season ticket deadline coming up.
Looks doubtful though!
Hope you’re right, believe TM away on holiday again next week,be nice to get a signing in before deadline for early bird.

I have to ask how do you know this is true or are you spreading fake news?
Because I’ve been told by someone who’s ITK,if you don’t want to believe it,no problem, just saying what’s happening.

Thanks.
Do you know how much we offer him?
But we arent fooked at all.
Its depends on how much Graham wants and whether it worth for us to offer him the same.
How many games will he play?
Don’t know any details, only Bolton have offered more money, believe he hopes Rovers come back with better offer, but you can’t blame Rovers not to give silly contracts to older players (Murphy) etc.

Believe Bolton talking to Danny Graham, and offering more money than Rovers,he’s waiting for Rovers to up their offer.

It will go up significantly after Early bird period. £350/£380 ?
Yeah, you’re right, are Preston prices at £400 early bird or standard?

Could still shove away fans uo in the Gods most games and lay Rovers flags on the DE lower tier
Yep you’re right, that is what I heard, anything 3000 and under away fans in top tier,as are Oxford on Sat.

Sorry you’re right. But this year’s Early Bird is last years « after Early Bird » price. Creeping up towards the £400 minimum adult season ticket PNE charge
Still quite a distance off £400 at £319,think will be very competitive with most of the other clubs.

The early bird prices in the Riverside last season I think were £349 adult £60 Junior.
So the early bird prices have increased, as will the prices after the early bird deadline is repeatedly extended.
Early bird price in Riverside is £319 so last season must have been lower, think around £279 or £289.
-
Season tickets to go on sale end of next week, according to someone who is involved, there will be an increase and also early bird as usual, also trying to allocate away fans in top tier of Darwen end as much as possible next season,as are Oxford next Saturday.

. Think everyone was in agreement that it should have been done years ago,but as soon as they do,all the doom and gloom merchants saying waste of time,no one will be able to see,and some even thinking the scaffolding was staying, now some are saying it looks crap, bleeding hell its a TVs gantry, end of..Can't see there being a problem there, hardly noticeable...should have been done years ago!https://mobile.twitter.com/Rovers/status/761496493702451200/photo/3

I watched Rovers beat Nancy at Ewood in the 60`s? in a cup competition (something like the Friendship cup) and I believe that was the first European encounter for the Rovers;it will be interesting to see them again.
Lets hope for the same result we won 3 1 at home and lost 1 0 away and everybody who thinks our attendence is bad now, there was 4850 on that night december 1961.....

hoping
"Rovers are hoping for a bumper attendance for the UEFA Cup first round second leg clash with FC Red Bull Salzburg at Ewood Park on Wednesday night."
Lets hope a few turn up on Thursday as well............

There is no doubt about it, all these so called Rovers fans bleating on about prices why do they not buy a season ticket, the club has bent over backwards to keep them as cheap as possible even from £270 and take an average price from the riverside about £350 for 20 games thats £17.50 a game to watch premiership football. and they even give 11 months direct debit which only cost 7% extra.I know individual prices for cat a plus are dear but how can Rovers, price them at £10 pounds like people suggest its impossible we should all be on our bended knees and be so thankful that we are in the premiership Jack Walker will be turning in his grave,I know guys who went to Salzburg non season ticket holders spent £400 had a great time, nothing wrong in that, and then turn round and say I cant afford a season ticket, get real, forget watching in the pub and get down to Ewood...........

It has nothing to do with poor marketing - or indeed Rovers - they take no blame whatsoever.
They have no say over the rights for the away leg, so it's entirely up to domestic broadcasters themselves to judge whether they want to spend money on the rights.
And (for the nth time) once Channel 5 and ITV4 had cherry picked Spurs / Newcastle / West Ham our game was never going to be on.
To be fair, in terms of maximising revenue Rovers have done exactly the right thing. It's already clear that Rovers are not an attractive proposition to TV companies, even less so should this tie be a dead duck after the 1st leg.
As this game is free for ST holders, the walk-on crowd was never going to generate much cash at 15 quid a head - TV or no TV coverage.
I have no idea what Rovers will get from the TV rights - wild guess somewhere between £50 grand and £150 grand. So between 3500 and 10000 paying adults.
There is no way in the world that having the game on TV will cause a swing in walk-on punters of anything approaching 3500 - or even 1000 come to that.
So the Rovers may as well bank whatever TV cash they can now.
Well said Tris there are to many people trying to blame the Rovers re tele rights when they dont know what they are talking about..............
-
Nothing to do with Rovers its the home club who sell the tele rights and they have sold them to austrian/german tv
Thursday deadline.
