  1. I didn't know about that.

However I've often wondered about a park and ride scheme operating from the motorway junction (lets face it, all the problems seem to be the motorway to the ground).

I get the park and ride scheme to every home game from The Bowling Green pub in Darwen, and so far so good we never really have any problems from the motorway to the ground, the odd occasion when its been REALLYbusy we have had to get off at the petrol station and walk to make it for KO, but apart from that we usually get into Ewood with at least 20/15 mins to spare.

  2. By the way Leeds took 4k to Burnley on Saturday.

Biggest yorkshire derby of the season though, so it is expected smile.gif

I get my ticket sent to me automatically as im a away season ticket holder, however phoned up this morning to get a ticket for a mate at about 10ish and got through no problem, 2nd in the que!

  3. Finally can you just clear up what extra info you have.  You have slated him constantly saying you don't want a player who 'doesn't want to play for the club'.  Hughes & Williams both stated that Ferguson is happy at the club but due to personal reasons he wants to go back to Rangers no other club just them.  Do you know of other info that backs up your view that he just doesn't want to play for us?

He's handed in a transfer request. What other info do you need?

A simple no would have sufficed.

Eh? Can you explain how Ferguson handing in a transfer request means he wants to play for us?

Now Now you two, lets not fall out biggrin.gif

  4. Im another who wanted to vote Ripley but have decided to vote for Douglas.

Just because i never saw him play doesnt mean i can ignore his history with us.

Sounds an excellent player wish i had the chance to see him play.

  5. At Southampton away this season a few of us were stood up at the back of the stand and were promptly asked to sit down, a couple didnt and after a few warnings were threatened with being ejected.

However right next to us there must of been a good few hundred southampton fans stood up throughout the whole game, from what we could gather they never seemed to get asked to sit down at all.

I have no problems with sitting down at all but surely it should be the same for both sets of fans.

When asking the stewards why they were allowed to stand for the whole game and why we wernt they just simply said "there steweded by a different company to us so theres nothing we can do about it"

Sounds similar to saturday at Ewood only the other way around!

    Makes you wonder.

  6. Wasn't it also wigans record attendance of about 20k?

Yep, the attendance for that game was 16,922 and you're probably about right with your estimate for how many Rovers fans were in the west stand that night.

I think we took around 6,500 to 7,000 Rovers fans. Considering there was only 17,000 crowd we made up almost half the supporters in that night. Continuing this away following thread, how many did we take to Manure in the league cup semi and Sheff wed semi?

Probably about 4000 maybe 5000 to each.

I would have thought that for the United game we had about 6k and abut the same at sheff wed - wasn't the ticket and travel inclusive for £10 for that match?

Think our allocation was 7000 for the Utd match.

3000 of which were in the normal away end, we didnt sell any of these.

We just about filled the upper tier of the stand behind the goal.

For the sheffield wednesday game we filled the upper tier which is about 3700 according to the football fans guide ive got. There was a few scattered about in the bottom tier but there couldnt have been another few thousand in there.

I think the travel was free yes.
