Was always going to happen with such a poor number of STs sold this summer, we don’t attract many walk ons, so our crowds wax and wane on the back of ST sales.
That’s why it is absolutely pivotal that we move heaven and earth each summer to keep the existing ST holders in the tent, even if we can’t attract new ones in decent numbers… alas the present regime just aren’t interested and are happy to just rinse the ever dwindling core for as much as possible.

I'm not there in person but I'm told there were boos after the Luton game and boos at half time tonight, and we weren't losing on either occasion. Those two moments in games coincide with grabbing another beer from the fridge so I'm never there to hear it. As a former Riversider (rug-and-flasker), I also do this a minute before the whistle in case there's a queue at the fridge.
Yes, there were a few boos, often is at grounds when a team puts in a poor half, but that isn’t translating to any particular issue with TM.
I’d be surprised if anybody on here that has been a regular at Ewood this season is sensing a crowd on the verge of turning.

Not sure about this feel food factor, even if modest, because I feel like we've papered over the cracks and nothing more. It feels inevitable that the supporters within Ewood will turn on Mowbray at the earliest opportunity and that will certainly come sooner rather than later. Might sound odd for me to state this after a home win and a clean sheet, but I think Mowbray is out of ideas, out of players, and out of time (two of those three have arguably been there for at least a season or two). The only question is not when but if Venkys pull the trigger. It feels like a ticking time bomb that should have detonated years ago but one that's got stuck.
You reckon? I’m not sensing even the smallest of groundswells against TM.
Safe as houses with the Ewood crowd.

Bringing in a player, on loan, with ‘a pre existing injury’ and won’t be seen for a couple of months at least.
I’d get irate about it, but just standard operations down there…

Mowbray over McCarthy, wow, there’s not a lot more to be said is there.
I wouldn’t be wasting any more of my time and engaging in anymore back and forth if that’s his viewpoint on football managers.

Ah, I see, a topic is only ‘pointless’ when you don’t want to talk about it anymore. Fair enough.

well some us want to know and will keep asking the questions into the failing to sign a striker.
But we didn’t sign them, so isn’t still talking about it also ‘pointless’?

Feel for you Tony, an example of a fan willing and able to support the club from afar, but having the piss taken.
Of course the club were going to offer a piss poor service, this is a set up that in recent years has closed football’s first radio station and has now even stopped producing a match programme, a staple of a match day that even club’s at the level of Clitheroe can still get on sale.
The first page of this thread is testament to how in denial some folk still are to the stripped down shell operation that we have to put up with, there was never going to be an ‘improved service’ this season, even from the rudimentary one provided by the EFL with ifollow.

Three centre halves, two full backs, two defensive midfielders… and it’s the strikers that should be stopping crosses coming in?

I've been banging on to the club for years to display our club honours inside the stadium like other clubs do.
The club has finally listened, honours now displayed full length of Blackburn End, under executive boxes.
See photo 4.

Will dovetail well with the murals outside the grou… oh

Can JimEdd’s post be raised at the FF?
This club really is in an utterly shambolic state, and it’s not bloody good enough.

Reopening in a couple of weeks I believe, so that’s another hole in the balance sheet!

Remember when Swag tried opening the ‘1875 Lounge’, had about 2 beers on and lasted about the same amount of games.

Says a lot about modern fandom that social media posts re delayed kits get far more of a united front of abuse aimed at Rovers than results, transfers, Brockhall, state of the club, owners, Waggott and so on…

2013 of all years to start following the Rovers!
I can only salute you.

It nearly was a turning point, but not how the media liked to make out.
It was that lot went on a storming run post Kung fu kick, whilst it was us that lost form at the business end…

Or you’d have a player modelling it in the LT, as a certain number 9 did in our new CIS kit… and then buggered off about a week later. 😭

I’d say a lot of fans read the odd thing in the LT about the Brockhall sale, but due to piss poor reporting and the refusal to even print Rev’s letter, I’d wager a majority, as they had nowhere near the deep dive into it that we had on here, would have had no issue with it.

Ok I’ll rephrase, yes of course some have walked away in despair, but the majority of Rovers fans aren’t interested in the ownership, Chief Exec.
They just go to watch the team, and they won’t be back when the team is as average as this, never remotely threatening the top end of the table, just a club going through the motions - J*B’s second point is on the money. We on here and those that have walked away in despair know why we have such a mediocre team, however many fans aren’t interested in the reasons, just the reality and they won’t be parting with £30/40 to see it.
We need to remember that most fans aren’t that invested, they don’t see it as their duty to attend, that their attendance could keep us out of FFP, they never marched, protested, turned up at Blakey’s, they won’t even be aware of the Brockhall situation.
But floating or whatever, they’ve gone and there’s nothing currently that will bring them back, especially at the quite ridiculous prices, apart from actually doing something on the pitch, so as I said I’m not sure what the point of the thread is when there will be nothing forthcoming from the club either on or off the pitch to entice people back.
- 2
-
Well of course it would, but it just ain’t going to happen when the team treads water in the second division year after year, and it’s £30 (£400+ STs) for the privilege too.
Most floating fans aren’t particularly arsed about Waggott, Venky’s etc, they just see a bang average side playing in a morgue, and that’s not a state of affairs that gets folk marching down Livesey Branch.
It’s all pretty obvious so not quite sure why this needs a thread.

He can’t sign a pro contract until he’s 17 (in June). So you can imagine that a 16 year old playing for our U23s and England under 17s is going to be very difficult to tie down with some of the clubs in this region sniffing around…

90s goalkeepers tops were all pretty garish, I only ever have fond views of anything from that era.

Attendances: A cause for concern

Noticed the club made a point in highlighting the crowd figure on a Facebook post last night. I’ve certainly not noticed them do they before.
Looks to me as a circling of the wagons and ‘f-you’ to the ones that aren’t there ‘supporting the lads’, not a wake up call to the worst crowds in 30 plus years.
