Playing 433. Downing playing like a quarterback. Holtby a false nine. -

Let’s be totally clear here. It’s an EFL cock up, not Rovers. Whilst everyone is pissed off, vent your anger at the right people. -

I’m told they’re due to reset everything close to kick off and that will allow all to log back in. Mines still working fine and very good quality. -

Speaks volumes if we are playing JRC at left back before the experienced Bennett. Arma must feel hard done by. -
I don’t know, it’ll be nice to see us go up at Wembley.

FFP rules relaxed for a season to help with the Covid effect on finances. Let’s see how deep those pockets are, no excuses now. -

It’s been discussed quite a lot in Germany that the goalkeeping standard has dropped since the postponements. It’s assumed that keepers suffered due to training on their own and are taking longer to get ‘match fit’. You’d like to think we’ve looked at that and will be shooting earlier. -

There’s absolutely no chance we’re signing Daniel Ayala when we can’t afford to refund season ticket holders. Please stop this nonsense. https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/daniel-ayala-middlesbrough-transfer-rockliffe-18429003 -

Good news everyone. Marcus Maddison has been released by Peterborough and Hull don’t want to sign him. So that’s the next 50 pages of discussion sorted. -
They are. They gambled on us either going up or being able to sell Dack for big money. We are unlikely to now do either and finances have been stretched even further due to a global pandemic. Not many businesses where properly prepared for COVID.
-
It’s 95% frustrating, stressful and a complete waste of time. It’s 5% fantastic. And when it’s fantastic it’s really, really fantastic.

Well, we will see a lot of high expenditure leave this season both in expensive loans (Tosin, Walton) and expensive players (Graham, Mulgrew) so there should be some scope to bring low fees in. It’s not a case of the owners not having money. They’ve loads of it. It’s that we’re right on the borderline of the FFP rules and don’t bring a lot of money into the club as fans. Our ticket sales are already a massive hamper to us.
-
I do think they should be offering two options here - either the balance off next years ST, or the iFollow option. Yes there’s replays, usually from a single angle and there’s the iFollow commentators you get if you listen to just the audio on iFollow. @JHRover @roversfan99 I get you guys are unhappy and I’ve often criticised this club. You are probably right. Ive been told from a couple of ‘insider’ sources just how close to the FFP transfer ban we are - and we no longer have the Dack trump card. It’s tough. I don’t think they can afford to hand out the refunds.
-
It’s not about the owners. It’s about the losses. We are at the FFP limit. We can not afford to lose the X amount a ticket refund would cost. Our finances are on a knife edge and they’re already losing significantly through loss of away tickets, hospitality and match day income which they have included in their revenue predictions for the year. The owners cannot just cover the bill. All the senior management have agreed to wage deferrals and ultimately agreed to short term deductions if necessary.

Remember when I was rubbished for saying Dack was due to leave in January? Suddenly there’s a 15m pound hole in the accounts. I’ll go against the grain here, as I did on Twitter. I think the club have very little choice and have given a decent solution. I suspect a large majority of ST holders would have taken the £50 refund regardless of whether they needed it or not. Of course, I feel desperately for the people that have lost their jobs because of COVID, £50 would make a big difference. It half of the ST holders applied for a refund (which I think is UNDER estimating how many would) it would cost the club £200,000. The people that would suffer are the front line staff. Ticket sellers, food kiosks, corporate hospitality - all redundant. It’s not ideal. It’s not the fans fault. It’s also not the clubs fault. Someone asked about iFollow. It’s usually pretty decent. The broadcast is poor - it’s nothing like a Sky production, but I’ve watched circa 15 games on iFollow without any problems.

Anyone else close to taking a hammer to their console playing Warzone?

Or a much easier way to view Ian’s post above, here https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1268794861400068097.html 6th highest debt in the country across all leagues. Debt to owners at a record high. FFP at maximum under the rules - can’t buy without selling and even then can’t spend more than we bring in.
