No, I was told they weren’t releasing season tickets until they had an idea about what % of the ground can be sold by the government... exactly like the statement they released today. Although to be fair, I did get told Danny Graham has signed for Sunderland about 2 weeks ago and that didn’t happen!

I’m a bit stumped, to be honest. I was told the player was at Brockhall on Tuesday, everything was agreed pending a medical, I had assumed it would be announced by now. I’ve sort of said all I can... I said this morning the players name I was given is not a defender, he’s actually a central/defensive midfielder... but now Rich is back from his holiday and speaks about a ‘central midfielder not being ruled out’ right at the end of his update, which to me sounds like any midfielder is miles away. Really odd. It’s that specific I just can’t see how someone has made it up. But Rich seemingly knowing zero about it raises real question marks.

OK OK - I said I’d post, the Celtic player wasn’t the one we where told about. So let’s roll the dice and see what happens. If what we where told is true — and that comes with ifs and buts — we will announce another player imminently, who will play in the first team, is not a defender and is not British. If it isn’t announced soon I suspect we’ve been sold a duff, so I’ll tell you the name.

Serious squeaky bum time here let me bloody tell you. We’ll see, until later... adios.

Until there’s some sort of a delay, at which point I’m out of office.

But... defenders are coming!

I posted on Thursday what he’s doing - buying time hoping for a PL move.

I wish, I’d love to post but wouldn’t want to upset anyone. It’s only tomorrow away.

Nay. Not Kipre either, who’s pissed Mowbray right off.

In - and not tonight, tomorrow afternoon I suspect. So go to bed, @Silas

Brace positions...

I really like Kipre as a player, but for me this has been going on too long now. This is the 6th day he has had us waiting to see what WBA do, I would rather we moved on to our next target, especially if they really want to play here.

In a bid to try and stop people using two accounts - this is @chris_h

I can only tell you what I’ve been told and this is: 1) There’s no guidance on the capacity and Rovers don’t want to be in a position where they have 7.5K ST holders that have paid up, but only 5K will be allowed in. How do you decide which 2.5K get a refund? 2) If no fans are allowed back in, Rovers don’t want to have to do the admin associated with selling 7.5K ST then having to also refund everyone. 3) Rovers don’t necessarily need the money right now, it could be that XXXK revenue quickly later down the line puts us in a better position in the transfer market. 4) Even if we did sell the ST’s, because there’s no guarantees the fans will be allowed back in the money wouldn’t be able to allocated within the club anyway, because we don’t have that amount of money spare. It would need to sit in an account until there’s official guidance confirming it can be allocated. The result of this is exactly the same as if they didn’t sell STs until the guidance.

I don’t see how we can blame them for not selling tickets that they’re not sure will be able to be used. In fact, I think they’ve done really well to ensure supporters hold on to their money rather than sitting it in the clubs bank account. From what I’ve seen the concept of 25% capacity is nothing but a suggestion, there’s no official documentation saying this will happen?

Yes and no - for a long time I did. I haven’t had a season ticket since the season they refused to sack Kean when we could all see it (not sure what year). Started doing pay on the door away games around 18 months later, then in the past few years have done the occasional home game because I just can’t kick the habit. I’ll be buying a season ticket this year. I said I wouldn’t until they accepted responsibility and tried to make amends. They haven’t quite done that, but the club needs my money now and I won’t stand by my laurels when they need us most. Because they can’t guarantee everyone that buys one will be allowed back in.

Do your bit to help the clubs finances - if you can afford to buy one, buy one, even if you will hardly wear it.

Sounds like Christian Walton has just broken his leg.

Does it work with a UK VPN?

In principle the locations are good IMO. You’d have liked to have thought they would have been cleaned, though.
-
I don’t either, but I’ve been told the opposite — Kipre will hold out for a big move.

£90 for a pitch view room at the Blackpool FC Hotel.

Because it’s not 1989 anymore and that’s not how football clubs operate.

It’s totally unrealistic to expect the club to come out and say 'financial circumstances mean we will be restricted to free transfers and loans'.
