  1. People can easily watch Cricket on tv if they want.

All my family have Sky or Virgin and most of my friends do aswell.

Like I said yesterday, Sky is a must in our.

I will be watching the cricket today.

Channel 4 coverage were getting worse slowly with them keep wanting play to start at 10.30 so that They come show Hollyoaks at 6.30.

    I feel sorry for them.

    Why?

Cos I think you are damn right cheeky and bang out of order Jim. You have no idea of our life or the things my kids and me and the missus are into apart from what ive mention

I dont see what right you got telling anybody what to do in their life.

You'll never see another series like for pure excitement. Some sessions of play were almost unwatchable with the tension.

    Agreed

Waste of money in my book. £1,800 is a big chunk from your family finances and would be better spent on education, kids activities such as actually playing sport, and travel, which broadens the mind. Anything's better than lounging around watching TV and lining Rupert Murdoch's pockets.

    Thats your life not mine.

My kids enjoying doing what they. We have day outs aswell just for record

I enjoying watching sport on tv like football, cricket, rugby, F1. etc.

We have a holiday every year thanks Jim.

You're on £25k a year (according to you) yet have enough spare cash to waste £1,800 on Sky?

Waste? Shut up Jim. You are talking out of backside.

In our house having Sky is a must. Sport, Tv shows, movies and kids shows.

Why? Should my money go to the government instead? Nope. I earn it, my right to spend it.

How many people have Sky Chaddy ? I haven't. My wife won't have it for political reasons regarding Murdoch. I won't  have it because I waste enough time in front of screens as it is.

When Channel 4 had the Ashes series on in 2005 the whole nation was drawn in. Nearly every TV screen you saw as you were walking down the street was tuned to the cricket. I've never known anything like it. People who in April had never watched a game of cricket became fanatics in a few months. It was on everybody's lips at work. Radios were secretly tuned under desks.

Maybe it's before your time ?

    No it wasnt..

Watched every ball of the Ashes 2005 actually..plus attending 3 full days Cricket. You cant take those memories away. Great days with friends and families

I agree. Biggest mistake the  English Cricket Authorities made was selling out to Sky. The country went absolutely cricket daft in the Summer of 2005. I've never seen as many kids playing cricket on the common facing my house and now you never see any. They  just threw it all away for the Murdoch shilling

But think about how much coverage of cricket Sky has and the quality.

A lot of people have Sky or BT or Virgin these days. But kids these days are more interested in playing computers or on phones than playing sports. a lot of kids aren't interested in Sport.

I'm paying nearly 1800 pounds per year to sky and I don't regret a penny of it due to excellent sport coverage whichever you like, loads of movies whether its kids or action or Comedy you like and some great TV shows. all of the family watch it so we have plenty of choice.

Take the rose tinted glasses off. Barnsley championship, I doubt we will go up this year. So a higher league, higher monies and to play for a club which isn't a frickin circus.

tough one! Mowbray best manager in years? He's just relegated us.

to Blame Mowbray is a joke. he would have got us top 10 with his win ratio over a season.

Coyle to blame for his rubbish tactics, lack of proper training, no tactically work done on the training field. just think of how many 3-2 we had and lost everyone or the poor form in December and January plus a rubbish start of the season.

Bloody hell its now Mowbrays fault we got relegated, i thought you talked some sense, f all to do with Coyle then

Its a sunny day i have my sunglasses on, We will go up this year.

If Mowbray get the backing and signings he wants then I believe we can challenge for the top 2 places. Also I think we still 2 or 3 formations aswell being worked on

I admire your optimism, I think we will scrape play offs and get beat personally. Wigan for the title.

    why Wigan?

set to appoint Paul Cook as manager after being turned down by Rosler and McClaren.

Not convinced by some of Wigan players as last season at times they look uninterested and 3 managers changes was never going to work

It's a pantomime being played out to fool Rovers fans . Mowbray is in the agent camp along with the two David's, who are definitely not very good at gaining winning results at whatever level they've operated at and they are our first team coaches.... god help us until this shower leave the club.

Mowbray is the agent camp? Go on then explained in full details why you.say that?

Damien Johnson is the man behind the under 23's David Dunn was a shadow shyte at his job along with David Lowe when he was the under 18's and 17's coach.

Johnson and Dunn worked together and they are very good friends.

Phoney Tony in India ...good grief.... when will it all end !

Is he getting a better deal for himself and the two donkey David sidekicks.

what the problem with Tony Mowbray going to India to get the answer he wants its the closed season. I have a problem if he going during the football season

1st manager since Bowyer to go

I expect Mowbray if he stays he will change his staff. Rumours of Mark Venus coming in. Possibly a new GK coach But thought Ben Benson has done alright since working with the Gks first team wise

  10. From my post yesterday

From Alan Nixon in today Sun

    From Nixon on twitter

From the content and tone of his interview I will be surprised if he is here next season. He moved sharply across the pitch today at the end of the game and disappeared down the tunnel.

As a slight aside I had a conversation with a manager outside Griffin Park after the game and he told me himself that the job was between him and Coil and the serial loser got it.

    Who the manager?
