Not mediocre. Very good team that lacked experience. Croatia's golden generation are on their last legs..our young team is a work in progress. Hopefully foden, sancho etc can fill in those midfield positions in the near future..i thought young was shocking and rose made us a lot more balanced. Rashford was also a lot better than sterling. Pickford. Maguire. Trippier kane and walker were standout this tournament..and maybe stones

Before the game u were the optimist..im still an optimist..this is a huge improvement compared to previous tournaments

Yes ok...we have had a fine world cup..a young squad..a lot of players who have enhanced their reputation..we just came up short today because we allowed a world class midfielder too much room. Had we had a player like scholes, gazza or hoddle in there we would have won the game. Had stones header not been cleared off the line, we would have won. Fine margins. Croatia were the better side after half time by which time we should have already been out of sight..inexperience cost us the game. A more experienced side would have taken control after the break. It just wasnt meant to be and at least we are officially in the top 4 teams in the world

The better team won..if our midfield could have matched the rest of the team we would have won the game...midfield was always our weak position

This might sound concieted but we deserve to be in the final more than croatia. How many times have we been cheated in quarter finals, second round ties..been so close in semi finals..a post's worth away. Croatia havent been anywhere near that..granted they have only exsisted for 20 odd years but we have had to suffer heartache for more than 50 odd years. We deserve this.

I also believe if rashford had been coached properly and given more time in his proper position he could have been as good as mbappe

Everyone said rooney was the new pele after euro 04 so i will hold off my judgement on mbappe for another couple of years

The only positive is portugal were expected to be hammered and they beat them on their own turf

I used to think rashford was as good as mbappe..not anymore. Rashford has all the skills of mbappe..but he doesnt have the explosive pace that mbappe has..that is what sets him apart from the rest of the world..he will never be a patch on the great ronaldo though
