  1. Why oh why couldn’t Rovers have carried on losing games!!😡 After supporting them for 62 years I had decided that I was not going to let Venkies hurt me again with their ineptitude. I was doing really well going “cold turkey” and not reading anything about Rovers and then they started winning again with an outside chance of a top six finish and I got dragged right back in again!! My addiction was once again reignited, damn them.
Sadly, the hope that comes with a new season and maybe one or two signings that might excite the imagination and increase expectations will no doubt drag me back into another season of ultimate heartache.
Can anybody recommend a decent psychiatrist to help me. 🤪

He may well get a gig on £40K a week, doing a few days training and getting weekends off for one of the big boys as a 3rd/4th choice keeper.

Quadrupling his wage may just about make up for him not being first choice 😉

Let’s hope we actually get some reasonable money for him.

‘We are a development club - but please give us up to £500 for a season ticket’

’No’ being the response from the fanbase… guess what, actions have consequences

If us fans just wanted to watch a bit of footy on a Saturday we’d watch a lower league team, if we pay £500 we want a team with ambition and trying to reach the premier league. What do those thick bas****s not understand !? They clearly don’t think as a fan does.

Tbf, Waggott already told us this was the plan back when JDT was in charge. He literally said, during that infamous leased coach interview, that the objective is purely to stay in the division and sell players for profit. That was a couple of years ago and evidently nothing has changed. At the very least, you can't say the club is lacking transparency in this regard. Waggott and now Gestede have been very clear that you are paying to come and watch a development squad tasked purely with staying in the division. Fans that aren't protesting in some way or backing the coalition are accepting this as the club's purpose for existing. The hierarchy couldn't have made it any clearer.

There is a project, but it doesn't involve getting into the PL. That isn't even a secondary objective - it doesn't matter to them. It's why no manager with ambition is ever going to stay here for very long.

I think the word that describes it best is “stagnation”. No ambition other than minimise ownership support (cash) and stay mid table.

  5. Many on here were scathing of Eustace last season until he saved us with two unlikely victories against Leeds and Leicester. He struggled big time to get wins rather than draws. Whilst I am not exactly thrilled with the appointment of VI, I feel we’ve got to give him a chance to show his quality or lack of it. Teams can take quite a few games to adjust to a new manager’s style of play, just look at Derby. At least if he is an absolute car crash of a manager he won’t get us relegated this year and we can start next year with a different manager. The board will also be held responsible for screwing up yet another promising position.

  6. People protesting by not attending matches is understandable, but nevertheless futile, as the board and more especially Venkies are not capable of putting 2  and 2 together to make 4.

The only way we can get let them know of the deep dissatisfaction with the Venkies is to attend all the games and protest loud and clear “ Venkies out”. Unfortunately this could have a negative effect on the morale of the players, but if it ultimately results in Venkies reappraising their ownership status, then I’m guessing that most fans would accept the risk involved.

  7. We were getting up a head of steam and really pressuring a tiring Norwich side when that second yellow came. I didn’t think it was a yellow card though. Crisenie’s theatrical rolling over and over got him booked. A weak refereeing decision, one of many unfortunately.
