I’d love to loan or if we have money to spend buy Jay Stansfied and loan with a view to buy Tom Cannon. Add a rapid tricky winger and we could have quite a forward line.
Also, I’d sell Siggy if he isn’t going to sign an extension to his contract. -

I was told the total fee is capped at 22M. Whether the additional 4M comes from individual success, club successes, international achievement or sell on fee doesn’t really matter.
If that is correct, SW should be sacked for gross incompetence!!

Undoubtedly things have shifted with regards to their intentions from what they were in 2010 to what they are today.
I too don't subscribe to the active sabotage theory, but the fact that they have had not one but two promotion opportunities unexpectedly drop into their lap in the last couple of years and done absolutely nothing to try to take advantage of that, tells me that we are well and truly at the back of their minds.
People may want to continue to delude themselves that these people have any degree of interest, pride, care, ambition for this club but I think basically we are a loss making entity that they have zero interest in, and essentially their involvement goes as far as sanctioning an annual budget in the summer and leaving the jokers in the boardroom to do what they want/can with that amount.
Deliberate or not it will only lead to one thing. There's no place in any industry, professional sport especially, for people who aren't interested or committed.
Signing off another round of share issue every few months to cover the debt isn't commitment for the purposes of driving an organisation forward, it's just doing the necessary to keep the lights on and bailiffs away. It isn't good enough.
Totally agree. Good post.

Suspect you wont be far wrong.
Fadz - worth a 12 month contract
Gally - huge wages for a waste of space, get him out the door
Dolan - get shut, we can do better
Playing Fadz means we will persist with 5 at the back, which is fine for shutting out top class opposition but not for normal opponents. We need to play 4 at the back in order to create chances for our useless forwards ( excl Sammie) to score.

Thank God for that!!!!!
I posted previously that Rovers would lose to Sheffield Wednesday and Coventry and win away at Leicester keeping the agony going, because that is what Rovers do!! Obviously they got a point against Coventry but my point remains.- 1

Trying to be optimistic here, everyone thought that we would get hammered at Leeds, but we ended up winning. So, getting a draw against a team already champions is possible as long as we don’t leave ourselves exposed at the back, as they are a counter attacking side. Parking the bus could work, but if we concede first we are screwed.
At least it is in our hands.- 1

I think that a back four without the slow McFazdean in it would be the best way to go. Last week Wednesday encouraged us to come forward so that they could catch us on the break, I think that Coventry will do the same. Our defence is a bag of nerves at the moment so we can expect another fast hard press from their forwards. Let’s hope that the defenders just keep it simple and safety first. If we don’t give goals away we might actually draw or nick a win. After Coventry’s cheating hand ball goal last year we deserve a bit of karma this year with a win. Unfortunately life doesn’t work that way, so fingers crossed for at least an error free display by Rovers.

Just a thought, an even more slimmed down side in league one will not require £20M a year to sustain. Venkies keep club, save face save money and sod the supporters.

Wouldn’t matter if we got £100 Million, it doesn’t go back into the team anyway.
The point is that we shouldn’t have sold him!!

If he’d banned away supporters we would still have lost.

Does Waggot still think £2.5M for Kaminski was good business?! What a complete toss pot.

5 defenders and no one marking at the back post!! Why do we keep giving goals away. Not good enough!!

I think we will win tomorrow 2 nil. It will be similar to the Stoke performance for me.
I expect the same 11 from Eustace. I don't see the need to move away from back 3 of Carter, Hyam and Wharton. If Wharton isn't available then I would play Pickering at left centre back and Chrisene at left wing back
I hope that you’re right. We need to be three at the back to defend against set plays and if they go alehouse at the end of the match. We don’t have to be too gung ho. It would be great to win but being cautious and playing to our strength of counter attacking should prove a sensible strategy imho.

Well we know what we need to do and its down to us to win the game and secure our safety from relegation. Simple as that but it is never that simple following Rovers is it.
Yes Rovers never do it easy. I can imagine that we will lose our two home games and with nerves jangling beat Leicester away, because that what Rovers do.

Everybody seems to be forgetting how Rovers do things. We never do things the easy way, if we can secure safety early we never do it!
For this reason, in true Rovers fashion, I predict that we lose both our home matches leaving us fretting like mad and then beat Leicester away on the last day to secure our ultimate safety.

I actually thought we had the best chances, besides the goal, there was the Szmodics cross which I still can't believe didn't go in, and the Costello shot which was so close.
Szmodics also forced the best save of the first half. Chances wise, they had the quantity but I'd say we had the quality.
Agreed, but when the balls are playing ping pong in the area anything can happen.

We pull off one of the most significant, unexpected, deserved and probably memorable wins for a few seasons and I come on here to read whingers whingeing.
What I was going to post.
That performance was as close to flawless as Bristol City was flawed. We got the gift wrapped cock-ups (all 8 of them at Ashton Gate- they only scored from 5) out of our system and were magnificent at the back. Discipline, organisation, heading, blocking, tackling all sensational. Defending brilliantly from the front so Leeds were never comfortable anywhere on the pitch.
At Ashton Gate, Gally didn't win anything whereas at Eland Road he dominated their defenders winning every headed ball which was there to be headed.
The one bugbear was our repeated failures to find the right ball when in their half but by the law of averages it was going to come together at some point and it did so gloriously with as good a four touches from keeper to goal move as anyone will be producing this season. Dolan's pass was utterly sublime and the more I see it the better it gets.
Yes we shouldn't ever have got into these desperate straits but that win was essential given the other results at the bottom.
Sheffield Wednesday is a MUST NOT LOSE so I would keep the back 3. Avoid defeat and the survival job will be almost done. Win and it will be done.
Agreed it was a magnificent performance, BUT we were very lucky with near misses and balls flying across the area. Their poor finishing also helped. After the season we have had with bad luck and very dodgy officials, we more than deserved the amount of luck we had. As you say as long as we don’t lose to Sheffield Wed we should be safe. I also think we should get something from the remaining two games as well, as long as we don’t let our standards drop as we did against Bristol city.

I believe Arsenal have confirmed to Brentford they are going ahead with buying Raya.
If they don't, Brentford will have both the current Dutch and Spanish national keepers on their books. Brentford!
Which is my way of saying Brentford will probably sell Raya irrespective.
As for Nixon, my opinions are well known and vented.
I suspect we are in for a wholesale trading summer.
No we won't be spending anything like all the Wharton cash (Adam is close to triggering much of the 5m add ons) and Raya money but I wouldn't be surprised to see net transfer outgoings close to 10m plus whatever Travis, Dolan, Gallagher, Szmodics and at least one of our two keepers raise when sold ....
The challenge will be to do a Brentford and not a Bristol City.
Over to Broughton to show us what he is worth and that he can find somebody in Blackburn capable of pushing the send button on time.
Hi Phil
Do you know if we have a sell on % for AW and if so how much?
