I don’t care care how much people big up Scott Wharton, he is just so bad. The sooner Carter gets fully fit and replaces him the better.

Wharton’s has been terrible so far. So many errors!

I don’t understand what you mean by funnelling, can you please explain?

Is it beyond a possibility that Venkies may sell a controlling interest in Rovers using the excuse that the Indian govt are blocking funding. They will still have a degree of ownership and hence save face a bit like the Glaziers at Utd.

Not a good point for me
We have the hardest run it and needed to win today
Sunderland and Bristol City are probably are only other chances for a winIf we can average a point a game from here on in, we will have 50 points which hopefully will be enough (in a normal year).

70s were cracking times to be a Rovers fan - bovril on a wet Tuesday evening against Hereford, the baying of rabid opposition supporters separated only by the merest whiff of metalwork, coins flying through the air from (and to) the Darwen End, being able to walk right round the ground so you were behind the 'scoring end' for the whole game, the smell of the crowd, Hollands pies, players training at Pleasington quite happily, talking with players getting the bus to the ground, proper turnstiles, teddy bears at half time in the Riverside, celebrating 1975, players and managers less concerned with 'systems' and more with sticking the ball in the onion bag, legendary goalkeepers and players living across the road (Roger Jones on Hollytree, Tony Parkes on Livesey Branch Rd opposite Station Garage when it was a petrol station), when 'being there' was more important that 'who owns the club'.
Them wer't days.
Miss em.
Those who were there will never forget the 5-2 beating of Plymouth, being 0-2 down at halftime after missing a penalty and scoring 5 goals in the second half to win it. Don Martin was brilliant that night. I’m pretty sure it was on my birthday 15/02/75. That was a must win game to get promoted from div 3. To say I was depressed at halftime and ecstatic at full time is putting it mildly!! It was one of the most exciting games I have ever seen at Ewood. I stood near the back of the Riverside in the middle. Great days. 😊

Something many on here suspected is that he would look better in the Premier League than in the Championship and so it is being proved based on his three games so far.
Do you know through your contacts whether we have a sell on % and if so how much?

Very poor positioning by pears for the goal.

Collwill for Cardiff looks a good player, maybe one to replace AW.

Absolutely unacceptable performance.

There's a few variants of the name McGuire........McGwire, McGwyre, McQuire, for instance, and, most commonly, Maguire
It wouldn't be surprising if they misspelt it on the form but it would be typical of the low calibre people at Ewood
All they had to do was copy it off his passport.

Our transfer policy is embarrassing. This Liverpool kid strikes me as a similar one to Ayari, recon they've laoned him to us for free.
Yes that was my thought as well, but why take them if they’re crap.

Are our medicals in any way strict. I am surprised we don't do them by phone.
I bet that’s what happened with Ennis.

By the looks of him mate, he's a big clumsy centre forward and nothing more. Not necessarily a dig at him, it's just his size and the way he moves.
If we do get him I hope that I’m proved wrong, but from his highlights(?) YouTube reel I thought he looked like a league 2 or lower bruiser who just bulldozed his way to goal pushing aside useless defenders. His shots are hit and hope and he usually ends up on his arse.

This is what I suspected and posted last night.
He's being forced out against his wishes.
Can a player just refuse to go or does he not have any power to resist. Honest question.

I repeat: Not what we need right now. 😉I disagree, we need somebody to be able to get behind a defence who has come to park the bus.

Hope not he’s useless, league 2 standard.

From his highlights he looks appalling! Looks like a league 2 bully striker with no finesse and little skill.Definitely NOT for me, a waste of valuable resources. He makes Gallagher look like Harry Kane.

To be honest with the exception of some younguns going on loan I can see this being much a do about nothing.
Nice one Will. I guess we can then have a “Midnight summer dream” about spending Wharton’s cash on quality players for next year. 😊

Thought he did well coming on and he's so near....He does try and want to play a part.
He needs to be more selfish and shoot on sight

He's begging for a goal. A worrying thing watching him is that he never seems to be in the right place at the right time. Desperate for some confidence.
I don't watch him and think he's absolute gash though, which I got watching Hirst last year..and Leonard/Ennis this year.
He needs to be more selfish and shoot more often.

I thought that we deserved at least a point today and we fought really well in the second half and really took command. We were very unlucky to have so many goals disallowed, especially the first one, as I thought that their left back played him onside. If it had been Ipswich scoring them the useless match officials would have allowed at least two of them.
But for a dreadful attempt at a save by Pears we could have won it. Goals change games. I thought that they were very nervy until they scored. Many supporters thought that we would get smashed by Ipswich, so to come away from the game feeling we were hard done to is encouraging. We are struggling to convert our chances but we are fighting hard to survive and that definitely gives me encouragement. If we can win a game and draw two or three I think we will be safe, staring hopefully on Monday At Sunderland. Surely our luck has got to change soon.
