The players were knackered for the final 20 mins and we didn’t have anybody to bring on to give them any relief. Venkies have allowed the club to run down to the bare bones. JDT is doing his best with both arms tied behind his back.

Thanks Glen for the update.
It’s a shame we are not going to be able to even loan an experienced centre forward that we desperately need to push us on to a top 6 finish. It’s so frustrating.
Don’t Venkies realise that settling for mid table security and developing players to be sold in order to reduce their annual funding is not what fans want or need. The Fans, players and the manager need to be able to dream big or what’s the point. Football is a unique business wrapped up in a very competitive sport, it is not an ordinary business. Revenue is generated by stoking up fans hopes and dreams, it is not generated from mediocrity. They don’t seem to really “get” football and what it means to be a fan.- 5

Yes we were sloppy, Andrew Moran had an absolute nightmare game but that ref!!!
Ref 3 Rovers 1
Also James Hill made loads of mistakes today. Moran and Britain needed to swop wings IMHO.

Think our best players so far have been Edmondson, Tyjon and Bloxham. Bloxham has tidy feet, although he is sometimes a little over keen to show them off.
Commentator just said again that Tyjon is 15, everything online seems to say 16 back in June though. Either way, at that age he could be one to watch, but especially if he's only 15.
The trouble is, if Tyjon shows that he’s a real talent he’ll be snapped up by a premier league team for peanuts before he can sign a pro contract.

I think Leo will come good but he's not at the level required at the moment imo. We don't have a good GK in our ranks right now which is a concern.
David Raya was a flapper and look at him now. It can be coached, if our goalkeeping coach is good enough. 🤔

Sorry to trouble - just to check if anyone has issues logging into the Rovers' website?
I can't log in despite trying three different browsers. The website just resets itself whenever I click log in, without the log in page actually coming on.
Yes me too.

Too many players off form after they scored, especially szmodics, Moran, Markandy and Pickering.

Totally undeserved but we'll take it!
Good play from Hill, Brittain and HRC for the goal as well!
As was theirs

Why are Rovers over hitting their passes all the time. It means we are continually giving the ball away.

Wahlstedt never saving that header.
That’s not how the rules work though.

Tronstad is playing really well at the moment.

Cardiff’s player was in an offside position right in front of the goalkeeper and hence interfering with play and consequently given offside. Right decision, end of.

We don’t cross enough and we don’t shoot enough, how on earth are we expected to score.

How was today performance and playing style suicide football? far from it. It was tight game decided by a ref not given a clear goal.
Because we commit so many players forward when we attack ( none of whom seem to want to shoot) that once there is a loose pass ( which we do on many occasions) we are caught out on the counter attack ( see Leicester game for exactly that scenario). We seem to lose all shape when we attack because we just throw bodies forward.

Yet again people will doom and gloom again on here. Let's put it some perspective
Overall it was a much better defensively which plenty on this messageboard wanted before the match, so lets not forget this.
We also have a perfect legit goal not given despite the ref given it but a linesman who was further away and probably not a clear view gives a foul. This was the same ref that last season gave Coventry's keeper Ben Wilson goal so it is no surprise. I don't know how this guy is allow to ref again, Maybe we should adapt Klopp's stance and asked for the game to be replayed as he wants for Liverpool vs Spurs.
Sigurdsson had a golden goal to square the ball for either Moran or Szmodics to score in an entire goal and he wants for goal where it was easy save for the keeper.
Hill looked good today and made us more solid. Wahlstedt made a solid debut and made 2 smart saves.
It was no way a bad performance again. It was tight game and we lost cos the ref didn't given a perfect legit goal.
Time to go to QPR now and win the game. I have full faith in JDT and the players to deliver this. Come on Rovers!!! JDT's Blue and White Army 🔵⚪!!!
Sorry Chaddy I don’t share your confidence in JDT he’s a good manager but he needs to learn that we can’t be as gung ho as we are. We are virtually playing 4-2-4 and also 3-3-4 a lot of the time. It’s fine if we score lots of goals by playing this way but don’t do it only needs errors for goals to be scored against us.
When we don’t have a striker we are better suited to a counter offensive game plan like we had at Watford. We are playing pretty football but it’s suicide football. We have to change otherwise we will end up getting relegated.- 1

Just get it in the effing box!!

Does this referee not realise that a deliberate push in the back is actually a foul.

We are still making way too many bad decisions when we are in possession.
-
Both Wharton and JRC are way to slow and lazy to play as defensive midfielders. We have no real protection for the defence.

I don’t want see Dolan play another game for Rovers, he offers absolutely nothing and keeps giving the ball away all the time.

Some very poor decision making by Rovers players today. Not clearing their lines when under pressure in the last 15 mins or so. Trying to walk the ball into the net earlier because nobody will take the responsibility to shoot. Dolan’s and Gallagher’s misses unbelievable. If Sigardson and Ennis prove to be rubbish (hopefully not, obviously) then we could be in a relegation battle like Boro because don’t have anyone ( apart from Sammie) who can finish.

Why is Dolan playing he offers nothing. Will bring Moran on in 2nd half surely.

Travis gets into some great positions but is useless when he tries to anything with it.

Markanday has good feet and certainly has a good shot on him…Not a starter for me but definitely can make an impact off the bench. Ahead of Dolan for me Sadly.
He scored for fun for Spurs u23s, that’s why we signed him, but he played more as a no 10 rather than a winger.

Moran has taken over from Dolan. That is not meant to be a compliment.
