Nice little habit of digging games out finally developing this team is mentally stronger than in the past now.

Credit to Millwall always ugly twohats to play against and they were doing a number on us but good old Armstrong. He's becoming the Rhodes of this team.

Very valuable win that, bollocks to the starting tactics again though.

Tell that to my Wednesday mate. The sub who was subbed on Saturday. ?

This is ROVERS! Now go on a Run! Brereton showed today why we signed him. He was oustanding all game. So happy for Dolan. Everyone played well tonight. COME ON ROVERS!

So pleased for him. He was jerked around at the start. He and Gallagher were bought as long term replacements and were played sporadically out of position. Now is their chance to shine and they are.

“I’ll take the positives from this game and we move on. “

Actually I will take the positive out of my drinks cabinet and move on to the next positive in my drinks cabinet.

Make no mistake. This feels bloody magic on so many levels. As long as Mowbray doesn’t get the dreaded manager of the month we can kick on.

With 12 guys out vs Boro, & still getting a gutty draw, I don’t think the attitude of our players is giving their best effort. After the break, I hope there isn’t an overconfidence borne of getting key players back. The team still has to work hard, to get any positive result.

Somebody said earlier two points at Ewood this week isn’t enough; we’re 17th; a point tomorrow won’t even get us to 16th. Hopefully, we see Rovers get all 3. This fixture 10 months ago saw us win, 2-1, on goals by Armstrong & Lenihan. I would gratefully take the same result tomorrow.

13 out now. People who wanted to get him toughened up now have their wish.

My tongue was protruding through my cheek.

Thank God. Difficult to see from Coopersburg Pennsylvania. ?

Thinking of you as I listen to Boris actually taking real questions from real people. Not a fan of his but I appreciate him taking the questions. President clown pants doesn’t even take questions from the media

Maybe our Tony could have regular phone ins? ?

  5. One thing that helps a side and supporters is the feel good factor. In all aspects of life, we sometimes forget that we have it pretty good and it takes someone to remind us.

Comments like this raise the spirits of the team and fans and builds confidence and respect in the club.

That plus the calm authority of Barry Douglas has meant that the transfer window has brought not only good footballers into the club but positive influences genuinely excited to contribute to the club as well as line their own pockets

One swallow doesn’t make a Summer but the early signs are encouraging.

  6. As good as it gets. Very pleased for Brereton. Especially for Mowbray who took a punt on him and was slagged off by many on this site.

Very strong transfer window and if we develop Elliott there will be plenty more where he came from.

How great it is not to feel deflated at “teleprinter time.”

If Tony is to persist with the new formation. I would like to go with:

                         Kaminski

    Nyambe - Ayala - Lenihan - Douglas

                    Trybull / Johnson

            Holtby                     Rothwell

    Elliott                                      Armstrong

                Gallagher / Brereton

I realise our strikers are crap, but Armstrong offers nothing too often as a CF and I feel a spell back on the left might be needed. We need a focal point.

Add the quality of Douglas, we can't have him crossing to a penalty area of Armstrong and Dolan.

We really missed Holtby and Rothwell as Buckley and especially Evans were trash. Dolan is probably ready for a 30 minute cameo role for a week or two as he has fizzled the past 2 games.

Our strikers are crap because “#7s” are not target men. We have two target men out on the wing. I am sure one or both of them were bought to replace Graham. With Elliott in as a proper winger Mowbray needs to chose who will be his target man. And stick with him for a while.

  8. This is a good window if it all happens. We gave gone from worrying about having proper  cover to who plays where. This signals a strong push with two new players  from promoted clubs, a class act from Liverpool, and an experienced goalie as cover and ability to push for a first team place. Plus hopefully none of our stars moving out.

if we are going to make a push, this is the time. Integrating four players can be a challenge but it’s a good problem to have.
