Phil Jones on loan might be in our price range after tonight. ?

Perhaps a move like this with Mowbray would provide a greater stability for our club going forward and silence the doubters. You can’t make this up.

Lest we forget. What an inspiration. #thankGodhewalked.
Strong words from Ipswich manager Paul Lambert!
“If they want to go and employ another manager, no problem. I’ll go, it’s not a problem for me to go. I’ll leave tomorrow or I’ll leave the next day, it’s not a problem.” ?️

Roy Keane, even if he loses 20 games in a row, id just like to see him give them all a real hard kick up the ass, literally, and publicly call out their shite performances.
Please do not wish that on us. Ipswich never recovered.

I would admit that we have an innate ability to turn 7 million pound Centre forwards into dogs but he is not a bad player.
The Forest fans rated him and he got into the young England squad. When Graham retires and the options are Ben and Ben then we will see whether we have a player once he gets a proper run in the team.
Confidence is everything as Gallagher knows this season. -
This was never going to be pretty. Shouldn’t have risked our playmakers. Hoof ball to big boys would have been more effective. If these injuries are dodgy the team will pick itself for Birmingham.
-
The guys with a point to prove proved it. The manager was bold and fortune favours the brave. This is a huge result as we go into the holidays. How nice to have a real selection headache.
Mixed views on BB on the board. I was lunching with a Forest fan who watched him regularly. He said he is lightning quick and an intelligent player. When Graham retires his time will come.-

We have 2 home games coming up. We can go back to the team we had in the 5 games previous for them.
It's perfectly logical to utilise the squad.
Complete overreaction from some
Absolutely spot on. Give people a chance to shine, put others in the shop window, keep the squad energized in car of injuries, rest key players. The formation is a risk but if players fancy an extended run in the team this is a great chance to shine. 3 out of 4 defenders are proven. Fortune favors the brave - hopefully.

Luvly. I hate watching on bbc text when it goes into extra time. FT are two beautiful letters when the score is 1-0

Hopefully this team will do a great job tonight and it will be deja by all over again. Just as we asked.
-
Hopefully Mowbray will play Graham up front to “worry” Raya

Fuck all point signing anyone in January. They won't have learned the Mowbray way or be ready to start games until April at which point we'll already be relegated.
We might have to if we get a good offer for Dack

Any odds on Marcus Maddison plus a couple of defenders replacing Dack?

50 years of hurt for my Wednesday mate I have known. For 55 years ?

I would for defenders. But I would choose them for him?

I dispute this. I don't think either Gallagher or Brereton played well for other clubs. Gallagher had a decent spell for us but average/poor elsewhere. Brereton has been totally average/poor at Forest.
And apparently for England?
-
I think core to some of the attacking problems is that Mowbray brought in replacements for Graham who continued to outshine them all. Brereton and Gallagher are not bad players. They have performed well for other clubs. But the replacements have been played out of position to keep them playing and justifying their price tags.
In a strange way it may be easier once Graham is done and Dack is sold. One of them will own the 9. Who knows, maybe they will both play up front and put Armstrong wide.
I do believe that Mowbray thought that Bauer was a shoe in and then when Mulgrew was told he might not get regular games he probably threw his toys out.
All total speculation of course but unless Tony is on this board in disguise, that’s all we got.
I agree that we need at least one solid centre back bought not loaned but unless Tony has some dosh under the mattress, it may have to come from the sale of Dack.
-
We are. You only have to read other clubs notice boards. ?
-
Was anyone happy take a draw against the top team before the match?
-
I didn’t see the game but if Mowbray fields the right team for the opposition, I would have thought that Dack and Graham would have been the ideal starting line up with Downing and whoever, fizzing balls into the middle League 1 style. But then what do I know?

Well Steven Gerrard was once said to have had an affair with his wife's sister who doesn't exist, and captain Pugwash was supposedly full of innuendo. Lies can become 'truth' very quickly.
Captain Pugwash?. That’s scurrilous. You should walk the plank for that insinuation
-
Well it’s all rather exciting. Anything that gets us all in a tizzy means that bold experiments are afoot. Belt up for possible turbulence on our journey. ???

Very depressing. Two owners one delusional, and the other a chance waiting as s creditor to scrape a few bob off the remains.

£2m is less than we paid for Leon fucking Best.
With that said, a condition of any bailout would have to be a strict overview of Bury's finances going forward and the installation of a new board to oversee those arrangements. That would obviously be difficult if not impossible to achieve. The alternative is bailing them out and then watching them sink again.
Staggering that it's gotten to this stage.
We paid more for Leon Best?. Makes our last two $5million signings a mere bagatelle ??

My uneducated guess is that he is looking after his own personal brand. He is not getting into a team with 23 points and looking at a relegation dogfight v mid table relatively solid position with our injury prone defenders. He has a better chance to maintain his value with us.
He also recognizes we need goals which he can do. Maybe he pulled a strop with Mowbray early in the season and lost the argument. Whatever it is, if he is fit and protected from errors he could be an asset in the second half of the season.
