Interestingly Villa fans are uptight about playing Elmohamady on the wing rather than right back. https://thisisfutbol.com/2018/09/twitter/villa-fans-rip-into-elmohamady-v-blackburn/
Managers want to give their “best players” game time but the wings appear to be places that they put players whether they are no 9’s or right backs. Armstrong and Brereton are not wingers but they can do a job cutting in.
Not sure that is better than putting on an out and out winger like Conway later on who can cross a ball to a target man. Then perm 1 out of 3 number 9’s to be in the target position.

On the plus side, Bell looked very dangerous when he was pushed up and there was plenty of urgency’s for fluency all around. . I thought Lenihan looked very shaky. Mind you so would I if I had Roy Keane looking at me.

Game management -stupid tackle from Reed. Also, Brereton putting in no challenge on right just before.
Brereton is going to learn quickly that pointing at things v doing things is not popular here.

Maybe Mowbray will have something to better to do when he gets his £15m in January.
Problem is clubs do character checks on their purchases. This little episode is hardly a resume builder. Maybe 15 million wasn’t too bad to cash in our chips, before the luck runs out.

No grown man who wears a full tracksuit and baseball cap will ever be deemed as 'smart' in my book.
I'm just bitter. I really wanted Chapman to be a full-time Rovers player.
How about a Rovers top, tracksuit bottom and Adidas retros? At least I feel half smart with that. ?. I would have liked Chapman. Hopefully he will be pitching a tent outside Ewood on January 1st.

Spent 10 millionon fees alone, retained players, turned down Dack bids. Wage bill surely risen I’d say this is the best window under there tenure.
Credit to where it’s due, venkys have backed TM and the club.
If they have turned down 15 million for Dack I think we really should respect them for supporting the manager and indeed the club. 750k to 15 million quid with add ons is a very tempting offer. There is no guarantee that form may not dip or injuries happen. That is a risky decision and they should be applauded for taking it. I hope he continues to play like a 15 million pound player.

The table position might make the difference in some of the loan discussions next week. Momentum is an aphrodisiac.

This looks sooooo good. I will take that at season end.

0-2 was the resounding echo. In Mowbray and my lucky 5 buck Rovers bracelet we trust. Fine fine squad win against a good side. Arte et Labore. Saturday night’s alright for.....

Anyway new shirt and lucky bracelet donned. Game on.

Cometh the hour cometh the men. One thing that front line is mobile. We will come at them from all angles.

Earlier in the season. In Tony we trust, plus our Scottish captain who won’t have any mucking about.

Sunderland fans see signing of Rodwell as revenge for us selling Steele to them....?

Must say I love the humour . As a Sunderland fan I would say “Mowbray and Rodwell a match made in heaven.” For those who say Mowbray doesn’t take risks with the dressing room Karma , fasten your seatbelts.

There is a very fine line between success and failure. Adkins seems to be bowing to the inevitable after just one home game. We have been there.
Meanwhile we have apparently prepared up to 8 million notes for The Forest lad. To coin a Billy Preston tune “ Will it go round in circles?”

F&ck off.
Sorry the mention of his name ? Possibly the most appalling c*nt, on the playing staff side of things, since Venkys slithered into town.
Looks like we missed out on that opportunity.

Well, a team with three of our favorites lost 3-4 at home and two of them scored?.Funny old game.

I feel that my post of yesterday relating to our aggregate time spent reading this tantalizing thread rings even more true now than yesterday.
The sheer act of checking back here every five minutes to catch a momentous wave of hope, only to be thrust onto the jagged edges of “Transferdeadline reef” exhausted and sleep deprived with nothing to show for my efforts is something I really do not want to endure for a while.
Well, until January perhaps?

Rodwell signs
in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard

I am surprised that part of their contract does not include penalties for unnecessary risks that they take that could impact their ability to play Football.
If Dack or Rodwell had been banged away I wonder what they would have been paid. More importantly they would leave slots in the team that could not be filled until transfer time.
