  1. We have some clarity too now- it doesn’t take 1+1=2. Your next challenge, which I think you’re more than capable of after tonight’s meeting, is try and get an interview with the Rao family. You come across as a well informed, intelligent pair. If you can do that, you’ll have succeeded where the British media has failed for the last decade.
  2. I thought you did an excellent job, chaps. It’s the best interview I’ve heard with the powers that be. In my eyes, you really put a spotlight on how ridiculous Gestede’s ideas were. It actually tells me clearly what’s going on at the club. Gestede talked about building a team full of high markups, after being purchased for low prices / bringing through the players from the youth set up, all whilst aiming to move the club forward. But, you exposed the stupidity of the idea, when you questioned how this could happen when so little of the fees raised (from recent player sales), were being reinvested into the squad. To conclude, this spotlight has made something clear in my opinion- Venky’s have had enough and want out. I think, in their eyes though, respecting Jack Walker’s legacy is all about keeping the club solvent now. They won’t send anything across in addition to that though, as they’ve lost interest, from what I can see. If player sales are made, they’ll be used the bridge the circa £20 million we lose every year. I could be wrong though! Surely, if you had any interest though, you’d attend the occasional game? Years of them not being at home games tells me otherwise. Well done all- I think the next step for the coalition (if it’s not already moving that way) is to start finding people who’ll invest in the club, and use the direct line they may well have to the owners. If they won’t sell, let someone come in and invest (like at Man Utd) and take over the day-to-day of the running club.
  3. 55 minutes in- Gestede is told some home truths.
  4. He’s just talked about the fans picking on the owners. I can’t believe my ears. This is a PR disaster for the club.
  5. Me too with the 3 emails in 24 hours. I reckon they thought the Gestede interview- with Big Sam- was going to win over a couple of fans. The bottom line is this: if they can’t be bothered to make an effort with the league, then I can’t be bothered to fork out the money for a season ticket. #SellTheClub
  6. All I got from that interview was the club is only interested in bringing through players and selling them for a profit. They aren’t arsed about the league we’re in. If we get promoted/ avoid relegation, it’s a bonus. What a time to be a Rovers fan! I’m sorry, but they have to go. #VenkysOut
  7. I suspect you might be already on with this, but would it be worthwhile trying to get some high profile celebrities on board with the letter writing? With the Indian class system, they might take more notice (albeit wrongly), of someone like Liam Livingstone, especially if they’ve seen him play.
  8. Today should be footballing heaven with the amount of games that are on. Instead, I couldn’t give a toss. #SuhailOut #VenkysOut
  9. Who’s the older chap on the right? Is it Robert Coar?
  10. Very proud to be playing my part in boycotting, like many others are doing too. To me, this shows you can be civilised and still make a point, all whilst staying on the right side of the law. Fair play to those who’ve gone too and are making their voices heard at the ground. Well done everybody! Pics are from X and not mine.
  11. Just a thought from what I saw, last night… As someone who’s now boycotting, it was apparent most of the protesting was in the Blackburn End, from what I saw on TV. If the owners are really watching every game, they won’t be seeing the discontent, as much as if it was in the Jack Walker Stand. Fair to play everyone who went last night though and made their feelings clear. As I’ve said before, I’ve had enough. I’ve voted with my feet.
  12. Also, did anyone notice there wasn’t questions about director pay?
  13. I honestly think we’re one big push away from shifting Venky’s. For Suhail to show his face AND do an interview, it’s unprecedented. I can’t ever recall it!
  14. Loved it when Rudy mentioned how we’d see all the training ground work with Big Val, after the international break, come to fruition. …well, what a load of bollocks that was!
  15. Ditto- I’m completely boycotting from now on, even though I’m still paying for my season ticket. Good luck to those who are attending though.
  16. Friday’s an opportunity to really do something special against the lot upstairs. A big shout to Glenn for finding bout of energy too, to lead something against the owners.
  17. Bob on- I’d pay £400 if we had owners who could be even half arsed.
  18. Just seen the prices and I won’t be renenwing. I’ve been a season ticket holder for a while too. As much as I love my BBE seat for the view it has (row 29, very central), I’m boycotting. My last game was against Norwich and I won’t be setting foot inside Ewood, unless they put the club up for sale. Also, £400 to watch the youth team play (which is what it’s likely to be, next season), is daylight robbery.
  19. There’s a lot to be said how they’re run though. The owners mortgaged Turd to buy the club. They recently took a £40 million loan out too. They’re banking everything on going back up.
  20. It should! This was the issue I was having the other day, and have now sorted it.
  21. I’m a season ticket holder that won’t be there tomorrow… or for the rest of the season. Unless things change over summer, I’ll be saving my money next season. I’ve been going for years too.
