Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
scotchrover replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
That’s in Glenn and Duncan’s court, imo. They look like they’re spearheading something sound behind the scenes. Whatever it is, we all need to get behind and be one unified protest movement. -

On X this morning. If we’re going to get Venky’s to leave, we need to educate people. Too many people still feel no one would buy us. Nice to see Glenn and Duncan taking the steps too to get them to leave- well done chaps! -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

All this is making me wonder why we aren’t doing an official boycott. I think one big push would get them out the door. Attendances are pretty close to that level already. If those attending realised that we could move Venky’s on, I’m sure they’d stop going. For the love of God, someone please call a boycott and force our owners to go. -

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
scotchrover replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
As someone who’s now part of the ‘Not A Penny More’ camp, The Coalition should be calling the nearly empty stadium what it is- a boycott. Plenty of people are boycotting, like myself, but it’s just never been called that. Any banners inside the stadium should just say, ‘Venky’s- Sell the Club.’ … and if you want to get their attention, an Indian social media campaign, simply saying, ‘Venky’s- Sell the Club!’ is the best route. None of it has to be offensive. It just needs to be to the point. -
Any update on when he’s returning to Allardyce’s podcast?

v Sheffield United (h) - 21/10/25
scotchrover replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
A good start again. It’s like the start against Coventry, but we’ve hardly tested their keeper… again. -
Anyone else excited to see the follow up interview with Big Sam?

We’re currently level on points with a team that are probably claiming from the Department for Work & Pensions (Sheffield Weds). What a time to be alive!

Apparently, the club are second only to Arsenal for producing England capped players. I’m sure someone put that on Twitter before. -

Thank God I didn’t buy a season ticket. I nearly cracked before the Sheffield Utd game, but seeing this has made me glad I’m making a stand. Well done to the women’s team for speaking out too. -
I’ve still not renewed. For me to spend my hard earned cash again, they’ve got to sort the contracts out of the regular starters and start the season with a stronger squad, which means making around 3 Championship quality signings. If they don’t do that, I won’t be going.
-
It is when your best players are sold.
-
True, but there’s only so long you can keep spending next to nothing and selling anything of value though, before it goes completely south.
-
I don’t think you’re on your own. What’s done it for me is, if we don’t go up, the squad’s going to be probably decimated. The thought of paying £400 to watch a self-inflicted relegation battle, all whilst those 3 plonkers above tell us that we should be grateful for the investment, has put me off. Gestede’s interviews have pushed me away too, with his arrogance. If we did go up, they’d probably open up the Blackburn End upper tier, which I’d like to move back to anyway.

I’ve still not budged.

Rudy Gestede - Big Chill podcast Interview
scotchrover replied to Eddie's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We have some clarity too now- it doesn’t take 1+1=2. Your next challenge, which I think you’re more than capable of after tonight’s meeting, is try and get an interview with the Rao family. You come across as a well informed, intelligent pair. If you can do that, you’ll have succeeded where the British media has failed for the last decade. -
Rudy Gestede - Big Chill podcast Interview
scotchrover replied to Eddie's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I thought you did an excellent job, chaps. It’s the best interview I’ve heard with the powers that be. In my eyes, you really put a spotlight on how ridiculous Gestede’s ideas were. It actually tells me clearly what’s going on at the club. Gestede talked about building a team full of high markups, after being purchased for low prices / bringing through the players from the youth set up, all whilst aiming to move the club forward. But, you exposed the stupidity of the idea, when you questioned how this could happen when so little of the fees raised (from recent player sales), were being reinvested into the squad. To conclude, this spotlight has made something clear in my opinion- Venky’s have had enough and want out. I think, in their eyes though, respecting Jack Walker’s legacy is all about keeping the club solvent now. They won’t send anything across in addition to that though, as they’ve lost interest, from what I can see. If player sales are made, they’ll be used the bridge the circa £20 million we lose every year. I could be wrong though! Surely, if you had any interest though, you’d attend the occasional game? Years of them not being at home games tells me otherwise. Well done all- I think the next step for the coalition (if it’s not already moving that way) is to start finding people who’ll invest in the club, and use the direct line they may well have to the owners. If they won’t sell, let someone come in and invest (like at Man Utd) and take over the day-to-day of the running club. -

He’s just talked about the fans picking on the owners. I can’t believe my ears. This is a PR disaster for the club. -
Me too with the 3 emails in 24 hours. I reckon they thought the Gestede interview- with Big Sam- was going to win over a couple of fans. The bottom line is this: if they can’t be bothered to make an effort with the league, then I can’t be bothered to fork out the money for a season ticket. #SellTheClub

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

All I got from that interview was the club is only interested in bringing through players and selling them for a profit. They aren’t arsed about the league we’re in. If we get promoted/ avoid relegation, it’s a bonus. What a time to be a Rovers fan! I’m sorry, but they have to go. #VenkysOut -

I suspect you might be already on with this, but would it be worthwhile trying to get some high profile celebrities on board with the letter writing? With the Indian class system, they might take more notice (albeit wrongly), of someone like Liam Livingstone, especially if they’ve seen him play.
