  1. Disagree- I think Waggott’s telling Venky’s that they don’t need to spend any money at all, on players. Venky’s- being gullable- are lapping it up.
  2. Jesus Christ- it’s embarrassing. People calling for a new manager- it won’t make a blind bit of difference with that keeper in the net (or Pears). You could have City’s starting 11 in front of him, and we’d probably struggle.
  3. Do you remember the Armstrong sale money? No- me neither.
  4. If he’s not on the phone to Venky’s after this, asking for a transfer budget to sign a proper keeper, he needs to resign.
  5. It reminds of the time when you had no keeper at Sunday League level, and the worst outfield player got stuck in. 🤣
  6. Utter dross. This is what happens when you don’t invest in your playing squad. Waggot keeps feeding Venky’s a load of dross, about not needing spend any money on players. Venky’s are lapping it up because they don’t give a toss. We’re going down.
  7. Again. Ben Benson has to go too. They’ve had two real chances and they’ve gone in. Blow the budget and get a keeper in.
  8. He’s just as bad, sadly. The frustrating thing about all this is, we’ve not even played that bad.
  9. Looked at it again- that’s on the keeper. He’s all over the place.
  10. Absolutely appalling from the keeper and back line again. We’re in trouble unless they get a proper keeper in, before the window closes.
  11. Both Pears and Leo are absolutely bobbins. They have to get a new keeper in, because if they don’t, we’re down.
  12. I’ve just seen a Venky’s farming feeds (or something along those lines) tagged in a Facebook post, on the official Rovers account, by someone commenting. Maybe that’s a way to communicate with them?
  13. Think we’re missing more than that. That keeper’s probably the worst I’ve seen at Ewood.
  14. Absolutely shambolic performance from both the keeper and backline… and that’s before I start on the ownership that have left us with a basket case of a playing squad, and Waggot who keeps telling them they don’t need to spend anything. This January is the biggest in this club’s recent history. #VenkysAndWaggotOut
  15. An excellent result overall, and brilliant resilience from the lads, during those life-shortening 20 minutes. What a goal from Brittain too. The one negative for me was the goalkeeping error… again. I’ve come to the conclusion again that- whilst Pears and Leo are between the sticks during the match, and thus have to take of the blame- we need a new goalkeeping coach. The amount of times that both keepers punch the ball, putting us under unnecessary pressure, is unacceptable, when it could quite easily be caught. If it’s caught, the attack’s killed off. If it’s punched, we’re immediately back under pressure. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: we need a new keeping coach. Moan over- our season’s back on track. Up the blues!
  16. The problem is, Waggot’s delivered a promotion, so they believe everything the bloke says, all whilst spending next to nothing. No other chef exec. has done anything under Venky’s, apart from to tell them how incompetent they are.
  17. We’re in trouble. The policy of spending nothing on players is finally coming home to roost.
  18. I think sorting the keeper out goes a long way to addressing our problems. Pears has cost us 3 out of the 4 goals today.
  19. As a keeper, who played at a reasonable level, I was told to catch whenever I could. I rarely punched- if at all ever- because of how vulnerable you leave yourself. How Pears has got to this level is beyond me. He’s absolutely appalling. I’d go as far as saying he’s the worst keeper I’ve seen at Ewood. Ben Benson has to take some of the blame though. He’s the set piece lead, and we’re absolutely dire at those too Over to Chaddy now, who told me I was wrong about Pears, after the Millwall game, last season.
  20. I don’t think he did. Speaking as someone who played in goal, if you’re coming out, everyone on the pitch knows, and you take everything with you. The fact he’s done it a couple times suggests he doesn’t communicate well enough.
  21. The second? Absolutely appalling keeping. It cost us a goal. The third was debatable too. I think he got beat way too easily. If we’re aiming for promotion next season, Pears needs to be the first out the door.
  22. For me, season tickets should be priced based on people’s annual incomes. Apart from the Ribble Valley, East Lancs is a poor area. Obviously there would need a system put in place to avoid system abuse. As an example though: Less than £20k- £150 £20k- £25k- £200 £26-£30k- £250 … and so on.
  23. Sorry, but those last two games aren’t about a curse, it’s all about our manager trying to see out games.
