Scored plenty from there at Gillingham. Maybe a slight trade off but would benefit the team as he fits into a system rather than the system being changed to accommodate him. Almost gives him a free role from deeper - so much harder to pick up when arriving in the box. Has the footballing brain to play some killer passes and a role based more on stamina than pace which should suit him. Not too dissimilar to Dunny.

We'll leave that to Bristol City.

He's been encouraging pre season - penalty miss and sitter aside. Although I'm still not sure what he is. He's more natural out wide than Gallagher, but not really a winger...or a number 9. I suppose inside forward? His body strength is definitely much improved and he seems a yard faster. Although he may always have had that pace just offset with his gangling style when he arrived. Interesting to see how he progresses this year.

The problem with Twitter, is that a lot of snow flakes or generally 'not too sharp' people, think if something pops up on their timeline, it directly involves them.?‍♂️ Whereas we on a message board never read or hear anything and immediately form a misguided opinion on it. ?

Best kit we've had in years IMO. Love the dark blue. Never been bothered about the red and don't get the fuss about the collar ( but then I'm now in the middle aged 'wear out as long as it fits' brigade these days). Much better sponsor logo as well. Hated the bog seat one.

Dack played cm for Gillingham. Picking the ball up deeper and running with it. You could play him as the ball carrier in a 3. Although 4-2-3-1 is still our best option.

He's had opportunities and disappointed more often than not. He's been playing league one opposition and their number 9 caused us more problems second half than Rothwell did them.

JRC did well getting forward - agree not great defensively. Rothwell over cooks it virtually every time. One good pass, no goals - no assists. - even Bell got an assist!

Well a win's a win. Pretty much confirmed what we already knew though. Johnson can't play the sitting role. Bell. Just no Centrebacks not convincing or keeper. Chapman done here. JRC/Dolan very good. Brereton improving. Armstrong not great centrally. Rothwell loses the ball all the time.

Just about to say Ben looked the best of the forwards.... But he's just done a Brereton.
