  1. Could go either way. Think loans are the back up. If all the apples fall, perhaps we could see 2 or 3 permanent. Tbh you'd think there might be a sniff of one today...surely all clubs know who's coming or going by now.
  2. But as Gary Bowyer would say. You'd give it a right good go...
  3. Same type of player? McGinn is box to box with a goal threat. The American chap likes to get the ball deep and spray it around?
  4. Agree with this. We need an out and out flying winger. Adding height would be great as well big centre half. Nzonzi size CM and a powerful forward.
  5. LT still reporting upto 4 more. On current rumour you would assume we are looking at GK, CB, CM and forward. Not liking the lack of a winger or 2 there. We are crying out for some pace and width.

  7. This link highlights one thing. Rich Sharpe isn't really in the loop with Rovers transfers. Surprised by McGinn and no idea about the American lad.
  8. His disciplinary record is terrible. Numerous yellow cards following a rush of blood to the head. On the plus side he's great at pumping balls into the box.
  9. Never heard of the American lad. Fits the profile though: Small Midfielder Scores once in a blue moon!
  10. To be fair, I think between Bennett and Travis, we have enough cover for Nyambe. Winger and forward essential for me.
  11. Weird. He's effectively ended his career as a first choice keeper. Although you would assume Heaton or Pope may go to one of the big guns within the next 12 months.
  12. Agreed. If he was a high priority, can't see why this couldn't have been done before Villa's interest. Will be interesting to see how he does at Villa. Could be one that we regret. Or not lol.
  13. If this lad from Stanley is good, why are we not in for him?
  14. Wow. Bolasie will do some real damage at champ level. Time to nip in for Chapman then ? Agree with Armstrong. No problem with a loan signing up front -as long we improve other areas with permanent buys. Still need to keep an eye on replacing Graham in the next 12 months.
  15. Flipping that - not spending money under the pretense a deal is to expensive results with a couple of freebie signings who contribute next to nowt. Which also gets us into trouble.
  16. If we do splash a bit of cash on another 2/3 quality signings we could well become dark horses for a play off spot. That said, if Dack, Lennihan, Armstrong etc do gave great seasons and we don't go up, you would be a brave man to bet against them being snapped up.
  17. They couldn't afford him. If Dack proves he's good enough at this level, his next move is to the Prem. Probably to a Wolves, Palace, Newcastle type club for silly money.
  18. Looks like Villa see McGinn as their Grealish replacement. Doubt we could compete with them wage wise. Shame.
  19. Atkins had that knack of being in the right place at the right time. Like a Frank Lampard in a parallel universe. Luck beats technical abiliy.
  20. ?? It was a bit of a jest as the previous poster had said he'd be happy with Bauer, Maddison and McGinn. And these days it doesn't take many Coronas!
  21. Smallwood gives 100 percent. He's a poor man's Savage. He would be great coming off the bench to help close out games. A great squad player. Shouldn't be a definite starter though as technically he's quite poor. The higher up the league you aspire, the more technical/footballing ability you need. Such is life.
