Hyam soft as fuck for that goal. Embarrassing.
Not a leader amongst them.

I really, really hope he manages to make an impact at Palace. If we forced him out and then it doesn't work out I'll be absolutely gutted for him. The fact he had to be forced out in the first place is bad enough.
He's come on as sub for Palace. They've gone from 1 down to 3 down. At least he'll be used to that🤷🏻♂️

It won't be any decent manager because we now operate the DOF/Head coach model.

It just all feels off at the mmrmt. Even for these lot…it wouldn’t surprise me if there were more cuts in the summer. More downgrading.
I hope I’m wrong.
It wouldn't surprise anybody. It's been their MO for years.
Another awful window. Still think we'll be looking nervously over our shoulder come April.
Clear as day that Swag had the Wharton deal lined up to plug costs - where else was his 'next tranche of funding' coming from?
There's nothing to sell in summer so if the court issue isn't addressed, things should get interesting.
Alternatively, if it is, the usual bollocks about ffp won't be an excuse for a year or two. I'll not hold my breath.

Well. Isn't this the most predictable thing to wake upto after an early night.
There was never s chance of any signings. I wouldn't be surprised if Wharton was assured money would be spent if he left.
As soon as the ink was dry though...
Dream venky window. Just need one more striker off the books now.

The second kid on loan from Brighton seems a waste of a slot. Am I right in thinking you can get as many loans as you like but only 5 can go in your match day squad?

Bonkers if we've not negotiated him as part of the deal - massive missed opportunity there.
We won't get any permanent talent from the prem. Our wage structure is too low. Unless the 'flex' comes back.
Exactly the type of player we should be trying to sign if we actually have a little cash.
Said it before though, nobody comes permanently that's not from league one or below or a European minor league.

It matters not what we gave to spend on transfers. Our wage structure is so low, we won't attract any permanent talent above league 1.

Nice to get a decent win. Controlled the game apart from that 10 min spell.
Hopefully a big crowd down for the Geordies. Can't see us getting owt, they'll be too quick but you never know - its what the cup's all about.

Gally not at right back 🤷🏻♂️

Nowadays, for me personally, following Blackburn Rovers means trying to make sense of Indian court documents, arguing with fellow fans on Twitter who support this nonsense and trying to piece together all of the clues to work out what happens next.
Some of the comments from our fanbase make me want to scream in frustration. But the more I think about it, maybe I’m in the wrong. There’s a majority of fans that it feels like are either too naive to read into it any further than surface level, or not intelligent enough to see this for what it is. Perhaps they deserve this and the misery that comes with it? But again… maybe there is no misery if your head is in the sand.
Frankly, at this point, I’m extremely close to giving it all up and trying to find some solace in just going to down to Ewood occasionally and only thinking about Rovers for those couple of hours.
That's where I'm at. Only done a couple of actual Ewood games this season. Pay less attention to Rovers news. Spend less time on here. Mate and I were discussing stuff to do over next few months and for the first time ever, neither of us could be arsed with any away trips. We aren't a club that is trying to win matches and compete. Our sole aim is to put players in a shop window by playing a brand of football the management think will achieve sales.
I didn't get into footy as a kid for that.
The flicker of Rovers still burns but its very, very close to being snuffed out.

Wharton is the club's golden goose. If we are truly a 'trading club' to generate transfer fees, we are about to make a £20 million profit.
If the sale of Wharton means the club actually implement the 'Brentford' model and half the fee pays for 3 or 4 very promising signings (that we actually own) - I imagine everyone would be happy.
It won't though will it? It will just cover losses that Venky are unable to transfer over. We'll have a token 10 percent (including wages) to spend.
After Wharton, there isn't much else worth buying - certainly none that premier league money would be interested in.
The Wharton transfer is the only way the club bankroll their purported 'vision'.
From a fan perspective, he shouldn't be sold unless they are going to do that.
They aren't though.

JDT's game management and subs can leave a bit to be desired but he's probably given up now.
Don't really blame him tbh.
Correct me if I'm wrong. The brand of football is a 'club' decision - that is the director of football model. Ergo, manager may leave/be replaced. but new head coach carries on the philosophy.
Broughton/Waggot identify the 'head coach'. He coaches as as per his remit, with the players provided by the DOF.
Only way this changes, is a new DOF with a different philosophy. No decent manager walks into this DOF model at Ewood.
The squad is fucking woeful. No experience, physicality, height or pace...and its getting worse.
First sacked should be Waggot, quickly followed by Broughton and the recruitment team - if we actually have one.
It's just another in a long line of disastrous decisions by Venkys who also just need to fuck off.

Club just gets worse. Dying on its arse under Venkys.
Just be up front and change the first team name to Blackburn Academy and be done with it.

That’s atrocious.
Didn't think we'd ever see a worse double act than the Luke Varney/Chris Brown partnership. Take a bow Greg.

Its a low bar but Telalovic is much more useful than Ennis. He's garbage.

Surprisingly good win that. Well done boys 👏

The last window was piss poor and we always have an even worse Jan one.
Squad has the same problem its had for the last few years. It's missing a striker, it's too small (height wise) and too slow.
We can now add shite keepers back to the list as well.
None of which will be addressed in January.

Only just caught up with this. Didn't know the guy personally but came across him in at many games over the years. Rovers through and through.
RIP and condolences to his family.
