I think we’ll only need one win.
I worry that’s one more than we’ll get.
We’ll drop into the bottom three for the first time on the final day…mark my words…

Amazing how planning for mediocrity and the bare minimum hasn’t led to a decent season.
As Andy Holt at Stanley said when sacking Coleman…when there’s no jeopardy everyone is in their comfort zone. No pressure to excel. No incentive to try new things.
When I met JDT in December we talked about the Watford Fans Takeover & his first reaction was “fantastic”. His second reaction was “why not every game?”
That’s the difference between JDT & SW.That’s why I have a LOT of time for JDT.

Nothing new there, that's just the interview from back in August?
It is…but it makes for an interesting review in the light of current events…IMO at least 😉

Sadly they never make those calls in our favour - hence blaming the officials.
What about Brittain pulling their bloke down in the penalty area in the 1st half?

"Unacceptable"
Oh so that's ok then. Business as usual, nothing to see here.
The front of this man is quite staggering.
Where can the full interview be seen Ian?

There is already a Eustace or Useless thread.

The 4000 Holes podcast meets Rovers supporting musician Tom Fleming, (formerly of Wild Beasts) for a chat about all things Rovers and Tom's new solo career as "One True Pairing". Tom hails from the South Lakes and has supported Rovers since the early 90's.
He recalls his first match at Ewood, the promotion season of 2018 and gives us some insight as to his musical upbringing, his influences and of course, his latest single.
Tom can be found on Apple Music & Spotify and learn more by following any or all of these links...

Tom Fleming - One True PairingFollowing the release of acclaimed single “Frozen Food Centre”, One True Pairing, aka Thomas Fleming, former Wild Beasts songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, releases another John ‘Spud’ Murphy (Lankum, black midi, caroline) produced single, “Mid-Life Crisis”.
Propulsive, anthemic and blissfully raw, “Mid-Life Crisis” asks bigger questions about life, growing older and masculine pain. “I shuffle around, morning to morning, whistling to myself, just to remind myself I exist,” says Fleming. “Friendly, unthreatening. Ready to softly drift out of the story. Life is short. Life is long.”
The story of the song is beautifully captured in the accompanying video. Starring Marek Larwood (Murder in Successville), it follows the everyday trials and mundane misfortunes of one man in reverse. "We all believe we're someone until the universe proves us otherwise,” Fleming reflects. “Marek perfectly captures this in his performance as a Thameslink suit who is able to find the absurd pitiful, then hilarious. You can laugh, sure, but it's you too."

Whilst checking for Keith's age in 1970 I came across "The Keith Newton Story", a 60 page book published last year.

Also in my wanderings this pic of Peter Dobing taking a shot at goal v ManU. Question is who was the dog playing for ....or was it the Referee
I interviewed Rob Sawyer (the author) on here back in 2021…

Do you think the interviewer was good? I thought he lacked knowledge and once he had asked a question, he moved on and never probed further for clarity.
The crap about having a tight squad is a necessity because the budget isn't competitive enough to have an average sized squad.
Every question was a closed question…
