Bang on. Could of kept things behind closed doors but needed to force Venkys hand. targets will have been sounded out, we will be working on the deals now, knowing the Rothwell money is incoming.

Mowbray comments on Rothwell he made public on purpose. He knew what the reaction from the fans would be like, making Rothwell time at Rovers untenable. Clearly Rothwell wants to move on, Mowbray doesn’t trust him now to give 100% so wants him gone now. Venkys don’t want to sell Rothwell but I think Mowbray has now made that situation impossible. He clearly thinks he can make the team better by selling Rothwell and reinvesting the cash. Smart move by Tony. Make Rothwell situation at the club untenable thus making Venkys sell and reinvesting that money. He will have targets in mind 100%. Parkes and Waggott will also know finances needed for said deals. Actually quite excited to see what happens!

On the permanent striker front. Cannot see it being Maja as he has only played 45 minutes in total this season. Mowbray will want someone who is fit and able to help the team straight away given our depleted attacking options. My money is still on it being Healey. Loan to buy with a guarantee purchase at the end for a fixed fee. Should get this done back end of this week.

That lineup is a nightmare. 7 defensive outfield players and gally upfront. Johnson who turns like a tank and Travis who won’t be match fit. Do well to get a point here. Just shows how awful our squad depth is.

Have a horrible feeling about tomorrow night. Hull takeover is supposedly announced tomorrow afternoon and new chairman in attendance. Could and should give them a massive lift. Plus with us having a shocking record when on sky, I have a terrible feeling.

I agree, but given he has been linked to some top end championship and bottom end prem clubs, must have something about him. quick, plays on the shoulder of defenders and knows where the back of the net is. If his goals contribute to us getting promoted, he would be worth it 10x over
