  1. I don't think that would be a good move for him personally,he is a talent but would he go to Brighton and start for them?I don't know if he would to be honest, certainly not straight away. If Celtic come up with the money then I think that's where he will end up.But as others have stated they have been faffing about putting in unacceptable bids so we could be in with a chance of getting him
  2. Yeah and lifelong Celtic fan isn't he along with his family
  3. McGinn would be a quality signing but id imagine If Celtic up their bid he will be going there. At least if the link is true it suggests we have a few bob left to spend
  4. Is it not a loan move?Be surprised if Bournemouth just let him go for nothing.
  5. I think he played well from as part of the 3 behind Graham last season.9 goals in 21 matches was a good return too. We all know he isn't a winger and we won't see him hugging the touchline and whipping crosses in but from the position he played last season you don't need to be an out and out winger.Good signing and I would be playing him in the position he played for us last season
  6. Yeah but we haven't looked good when playing 3 at the back.
  7. We ain't going to be playing with 2 up top though?Where are you playing Dack if Armstrong plays up front?
  8. He scored 9 goals in 21 matches from that position last season. Yes a division lower but that's what I can judge him on...9 goals in 21 matches isn't a threat?
  9. Agreed I meant McGinn if finances allowed us to do both.If only one then a striker
  10. Yes but more than we thought. I'd resigned myself to Armstrong coming in perm a cheap centre back and then loans. I want a centre forward brought in but if finances also allow McGinn then I think he would be a very good signing
  11. At the very least this link with McGinn suggests there is money in the kitty. Hopefully a good week awaits us. Confirming Armstrong tomorrow would set the week up nicely
  12. Yeah I'm not saying I disagree with you but my point is if Downing wasn't involved yesterday and then we sign a new centre back then he will just be further away from the first team. Mowbray will probably use Williams if Mulgrew gets injured and this new centre back if Lenihan is out. If Mowbray didn't feel Downing was good enough to be a stand in centre back at this level then he shouldn't have been signed on a permanent deal.Thats my point. He did well on loan not saying he didn't by the way but that was league one
  13. It doesn't matter what you prefer.Mowbray prefers Williams, if that wasn't the case he would have had downing on the bench for cover if Mulgrew or Lenihan got injured.
  14. So we need 5 centre backs for the season? At the minute we only have one striker capable of leading the line
  15. Yes Lenihan, new centre Back, Mulgrew and Williams
  16. Williams will be ahead of Downing as an option along with the new centre back.Downing wasn't even in the 18 yesterday new centre back just puts him further back
  17. Exactly so we sign another centre back then Downing will never play so was a bit of a pointless permanent signing
  18. How's the Maddison signing coming along?
  19. 100% agree with other areas being a priority but at the same time McGinn would undoubtedly improve our first 11. Il be honest I have my doubts about Smallwood and Evans. At times yesterday they couldn't get a hold on the game at all Some of Mowbray's deals have been a bit odd though.Downing wasn't in the 18 yesterday and Mowbray wants to bring in another centre half, that suggests to me Mowbray doesn't think Downing is good enough so then why did he sign him on a permanent deal?He should have been thanked for his service and been sent back after his loan ended Davenport is another strange enough one if the McGinn rumours are true, no doubt is he highly rated and I'm not saying I'm unhappy with the signing but we already have a highly thought of youngster in Travis on the bench for that role do you really need two? Maybe we have more money than I expected and we will strengthen all areas but hopefully we will see the like of caddis and Gladwin depart before the window closes too
  20. Yeah but I'm hoping we will get the majority of our buisness done before next game. We need some quality brought in.We dropped points yesterday as we didn't have enough quality to bring on.These players will need time to bed in
  21. Sharpe saying he was given the impression earlier in the summer that a centre midfielder would be the big money signing so he reckons McGinn could be one to watch
  22. If you scroll down and click schedule it will show a list of matches click on ours and it shows the channels it's on
  23. Be nice to start the season with 3 points. 1-2 Rovers Dack and Mulgrew to score.
