  1. The clock is really ticking, will be a real shit show if we don’t get signing(s) over the line.
  2. Yep, I would have happily taken him.
  3. Just hoping we can get O’Brien and a striker over the line. WBA have let both Grant and Zohore go today, it has been kept very tight but surely, Rovers have someone lined up.
  4. At this point, I would take him, big and quick unit and Danish so probably happy to sign for JDT.
  5. Will we beat Stanley to Cole Stockton !
  6. But they could put him on the coach back from B’ham tonight and save a cab fare 😞
  7. But we all live in hope and we have been there all season, that should ensure the club is fully focussed on staying there and having a shot at the cash laden promised lands.
  8. The point many of us are making, difficult to believe how this could be true but I bet Rich Sharpe is regretting committing such a thought to his deadline day commentary.
  9. Kenneth Zohore released by WBA, possibly someone that we would look at. A striker, cheap, available and close enough to beat the clock.
  10. The half that wonder why they bother will probably be long gone rather than waiting on the ‘jam tomorrow’ journey. Without them, and the thousands more that have been lost, the club will be on life support well before any destination is in sight 🙈
  11. One million loan and full wages.
  12. Would be absolutely delighted but can’t see it ! Only chance is that he and Thomas are close pals 😂
  13. I asked Rich exactly this point, what is the point of our football team if there is no ambition or aspiration for promotion. Well placed for two successive seasons to give it a go but they are not focussed on it, WTF
  14. The football has largely been dire and a lot of the performances and away results awful but that said, JDT has us in a very healthy league position and provided the platform for a good tilt at the play offs. Once more, the club has been found severely lacking in taking up the challenge to step up in the January window.
  15. Wouldn’t be a great surprise but I don’t see him jumping ship before the end of the season.
  16. You only have full agreement and business concluded, when the medical is done and the paperwork signed. You also learn from experience, the Dutch centre half from Liverpool was ‘agreed’ for weeks until he signed for Schalke ! If you can’t conclude and are getting concerned it won’t happen, move on and secure the next one quickly.
  17. Then don’t wait until the last hours of a window before you get to target no 29
  18. Once more, evidence that other comparable clubs are managing to get deals over the line to give their supporters a boost and themselves a chance.
  19. Many feel like this, look at our thousands of lost ST holders. But if the 8,500 of us now left give up, what hope is left for this once great, world renowned football club that we all still love. There are some things that you just can’t give up on and for me, that is my football club.
  20. It makes little sense, they have a chance to really give it a go with the prospect of future potential upside. Without play offs and a promotion chance and a seemingly unfettered determination to hold on to their ‘baby’, they are just locking themselves into perpetual, and deteriorating cash drain with no upside.
  21. He had his moments, the winner at Maine Road, ‘Curry too hot to handle’ and the glorious last minute ‘winner’ that never was at White Hart Lane against Gaza’s and a star studded Spurs. I was celebrating so much in the away end, it was ages before I realised it was disallowed ☹️
  22. Yep, I was really excited by Martin Dhalin but we didn’t see the best of him.
  23. Excellent post. Before we all capitulate to the we can’t compete line, it needs to be remembered that other clubs without the financial clout, still compete on the pitch, Barnsley, Huddersfield, Luton, Millwall etc. To be fair though, at this moment we are competing and with a better window, we should have been able to sustain a play off push.
  24. Sorry for being pedantic but Waggott doesn’t confirm it was a medical failure, Sharpe reports as this what was widely assumed / reported. Mowbray was very tetchy about it at the time and also never confirmed it was a medical failure.
  25. No one has ever confirmed what happened but he was back quickly playing at Bordeaux and then Stoke City. In any event, I am sure he doesn’t look on Blackburn Rovers too favourably.
