  2. I don't understand how the takeaway shops survive given the lack of nightlife in Blackburn. They surely can't all make their living out of the Postal Order clientele?
  3. There are about a dozen players who have won the Premier League (so since 1992), La Liga and the Champions League. David Beckham Cristiano Ronaldo Ruud Van Nistelrooy Thierry Henry Henrik Larsson And there are 7 players who have won the English and Scottish leagues since 1992. Henrik Larsson Roy Keane John Hartson Chris Sutton Colin Hendry
  4. Not sure if anyone on here new him but Dominic Lee was killed in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, aged 49. He was a personal friend of mine, and I actually owe him a great deal. He was also a massive Rovers fan and will be missed greatly. People may know him as one of the two drummers in the BBE, a few years back now. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/10398450.Motorcyclist_from_Trawden_dies_in_fireball/ http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/10400490.Family_s_tribute_to_East_Lancashire_biker_killed_in_crash/ RIP Dominic.
  5. You've not given yourself much competition to be fair. Just kidding. Great post. Pedersen's powers have long since waned but he can still offer something to the team. Sadly his set pieces aren't great any more but he can do a job as a defensive left sided midfielder, doubling up on an opposition winger - as evidenced against Palace. I hope he gets to have a testimonial (provided the gate receipts go to charity - maybe the Rovers Trust!). I'd definitely go to watch that. Wonder if Berg would play in that one? Perhaps not...!
  6. I didn't listen to the whole thing! Life's too short. Kudos for managing it though! The first 30 seconds or so are good though.
  7. This. The ref evened up the penalty shouts. Definite push for theirs but a definite trip for ours. I think you mean fallibility! There was a caller on Radio Rovers too who couldn't get her head around it. She was banging on about being worried about it being far from certain on the last day. I hope she's feeling very foolish this morning after 'doing a Shebby' on the radio.
  8. Do you say these things for a reaction? He's done well under Bowyer as captain and hardly deserves that abuse. Ok he's definitely Championship level but he and Hanley have decent a great partnership. I'm not sure if you were there yesterday, JAL, but Ewood was bathing in sunshine while fine rain poured down intermittently. Players were regularly slipping all over the place. I shouldn't worry though, I'm sure he will GTF out of our club in the Summer as the parachute payments run out.
  9. He's a pain. Brilliant one minute with a piece of footwork that will outwit an opponent and the next minute he'll give the ball away cheaply or be nudged off the ball too easily. To be fair, he is only 21 and he did manage 4 years with United's youngsters so you never know.
  10. I don't know. There were quite a few in today - even in the JW. Probably is still inflated but it was the last home game of the season so there will be those people who came along a nosey to see what we were like. King is ours.
  11. I'm waiting for a journalist to have a pop at the whole lot of them rather than the tit-for-tat Shagnew vs Singh. Sack The Board.
  12. That's definitely a 'morning after' post, arbitro. Don't be too hard on comments from last night, if we can't enjoy/celebrate/release after a victory in that fashion, in the context of our form, and the general gloom of our situation... ...then we may as well pack in football completely. It's moments like last night that make the pain bearable. Your post is correct, of course, but this is not the thread for it.
  13. You wouldn't think so reading this board over the last few weeks. What are we like? Well done to Gary Bowyer.
