  1. Blueboy, it is perfectly possible for anyone of any race to "play the race card", I actually thought Ince did when Rovers sacked him. The press took it up with gusto as well to make us look bad.

Surely you'd agree we had to sack him because he was crap and we'd have gone down if we'd kept him? If Rovers were racist we never would have appointed him in the first place?

I don't offer an opinion on Rosenior because I don"t know enough about him but it isn't automatically racist to make the comment as you should be able to see from the example I gave above.

The low bar setting probably does play a part :)

Some decent signings in (free or not, doesn't matter if they are good) , none of our important  players leaving, deadwood cleared out and new contracts for Mahoney, Lowe and possible Guthrie. All combined with the most solid manager we have had since Allardyce. That is the minimum I expect. Which I would argue is the most positive summer since Venkys took over. Anything extra is a bonus.

I know we have been burned by agents, but I don't think we need to over focus on this. Anderson was a different animal.

You're in La La Land and going to be very disappointed.

Not one piece of evidence from the last 6 years can justify that optimism but you require proof from others.

Back to the topic, but sticking to positive things rather than being a damn negative supporter.

I've been going to watch the development squad this season and feel really positive for the future.

I'm a big fan of Nyambe and Mahoney being in the first team, as they were brilliant for the reserves, and if I was Damien Johnson I'd of been gutted that they'd made the step up as they played a big part in that team - obviously thats the whole point in the team but you get what I mean.

Rankins-Costello is my one for the future. Real warrior, and you always notice him on the pitch when some of the lads just blend in to wearing a blue and white shirt. He does get booked a lot as he's a bit hot headed, but maybe that's a good thing as he wont take any messing from the rough and tumble of the Championship.

I was really impressed with Mols at the Cardiff game - It was the first time I've seen him get on for the reserves, and he ran his heart out. I believe he play in an unfamiliar position? so every credit to the lad.

I really like Fisher too. I've never seen Raya play so I can't compare, but I'd be happy to see him as no.2 to Steele. He's vocal, seems confident and pulled off some good saves in the shoot-out away at Southport when we all froze our nuts off.

You cannot be positive for the future unless you know that these promising youngsters will be nurtured into full fledged first-teamers and not flogged off to pay the electricity bill.

That's not negative so much as reality born out of experience. Do you have a different Venky experience?

TBH, I couldn't give a flying toss to be honest. Mowbray is performing and producing good results and clean sheets. That's what we wanted and at the end of the day that's all that's matters not his tie and colours. If you are so pathetic to be more worried about a tie than Results so a lot where you loyalty and commitment is

Plus most of the fans in the stadium are right behind and signing Tony Mowbray's Blue and White Army

    "RESPECT" Chaddy! Remember?

Jal's having a laugh there by the way!

    In your opinion.

Plenty on here also said that Lambert was a 'great manager' and we were lucky to have him. That has proved to be nonsense. As it was when it was said.

I knew it was my opinion when I posted it!

However you have couched your opinion of Lambert as a fact which has been proven.

Clearly the difference between an opinion and a fact has escaped you.

  6. We had a good team, well capable of making the play-offs and plenty said that on here at the time.

You were on the official site at the time.so you wouldn't have seen it. And 8th or 9th was not decent enough when the play-off cut off at 6th.

A good spotter of talent, or his Dad was, but a poor manager.

The only people afraid of proof are those who cannot back up their viewpoint. It seems some people here spout rubbish and lies and when when they are asked to go a bit deeper and explain what they mean or give proof, they resort to insults. It is actually comical.

I want proof that you are not just a W.U.M.

We were under FFP restrictions. While we had a decent squad. The championship was a lot stronger and more competitive then than it is now. Bowyer did a solid job here. No more,no less. In no way could he be called a failure.

We had a decent squad so why didn't it finish higher? Because Bowyer was a poor manager.

Senior has said it is a big summer and that there is money there.

The guy wants to do a good job here to progress his career in football.

I don't see how lying to fans will do that for him.

Look I am not expecting 100 million to be spent or anything, but with some astute investments and promotion of youth,we can move well up the table. I believe where we are now is the low point.

Senior has put it very clearly. He see his job next season as substantially cutting costs. To expect the club to flourish in a slash and burn environment like that is akin to expecting vacant hospital beds under the National Health.

We will NEVER prosper with Venkys.

The only thing which will happen to is more cost cutting and senior getting his percentage

Head coaches rarely work or last long in this country as you need a manager someone in full control including transfers

This would be my worry too---a disconnect between Senior and Mowbray over signings in summer. Of course that assumes a)Mowbray lasts till summer, the Club lasts till summer and c) whether we actually make any signings.

If Senior was any use he would have tried harder to sign up Mahoney as Coyle apparently wanted.

I do feel a bit more optimistic about Mowbray. He wouldn't have been my choice but he has more and better experience than any of the other 6 managers other than Lambert and Rovers may have sounded others out who refused the job for all I know. A steady hand I'd call him.

I always felt we were going down this season so anything else is a bonus but the plans for next season mean we will struggle again anyway.

In short, we will never prosper under Venkys and who the manager is, who is administrative head, who decides transfer etc are all part of the side-show.
