Player welfare has never been paramount,at any time or at any club, results are.
It was here when Mowbray was gaffer i often said he'd be better being a player welfare officer.

By and large it's just another sticking plaster job that will need doing again in 12 months.
Spending on wages will hopefully keep us up another season but it needs regular re-investment of fees into the squad to rebuild it sustainably.
Millions in wages on 12 month contracts is money down the bog never to be seen again by this time next year.

absolute bollocks, our wage bill is minscule to what it was and there is no way we are still losing 20 million a season,it`s absolutely no excuse for not spending money on the team
Yeah they got rid of about 25% of it....just in time for the 20% budget cut.
Another amazing coincidence.

Only had to sell half the team to get around to it.

But it is getting the space for someone to pursue the follow up questions, though, isn't it...
All too often, Andy Bayes ( is it still him?)will chair the discussion and switch to another question on a completely different subject ..about meat and potato pies or something...Or, worse still, Bayes will read out a list of questions, jumbled together.
I really needs one or two people, working together, with the mandate to pursue a question through all the obfuscation..
He knows how to portray he's asking the right questions without making his pray bite enough that they get the hump with him.
That means tricky questions are allowed stock answer replies.

Seems to me that those inside the club are extremely rattled that their comfortable little gravy train ride is now firmly under the spotlight and it won't go away.
Well done to all those who have kept the pressure until they finally start crawling out into the light.

I wonder how much his own pockets have swelled in that time ?
Hes always been the de facto Chairman if you ask me and there are a lot of questions to asked, some of them of a legal nature.

Peoples freedom of choice in buying tickets should never be taken away some prefer buying actual physical tickets often in person. No way should it be such a big deal to provide the most basic level of customer service for any football club and any savings making it all digi would be minimal.
I also believe these local institutions have a duty to provide jobs for local people instead of brassing everything off to some IT manager 200 miles away and paying him a fortune.

I presume Dolan is asking to join the group of top earners on circa 15k a week to sign a new deal. Tough decision for the club, give it him and look daft in a few months if he doesn’t do much? Don’t give him a new deal at that level, he starts the season well and we look daft come September…. The type of decisions a good board of directors generally get right…
I like Dolan but not on that money.

Where are the minutes?
That's just a brief summary of what was discussed.
I'd like to know what Suhail actually said.
'Hello i'm Suhail but i'm not really here i don't really exist, Steve will fill you in on everything, goodnight'

They aren't funding it though are they the incoming transfer instalments are yet this seems to be being passed off as then guaranteeing this seasons losses cover.
As for the court case on a reassurance scale of 1 to 10 with one being remaining huge concerns that was a minus 1 it tells us nothing except the usual 'the owners hope...'

JDT's decision to leave Kaminski out of the team after his injury is possibly the most puzzling thing he did under his spell here. Probably cost us the play-off spot. Does Friedel have a son?
We needed money and he was it so he was being eased towards the door i'm amazed anyone couldn't see it. Pears was doing ok, TK was dejected and Luton were alerted so once that process began he was always on his way.

I do see some of the problems under Waggot as an inability and lack of desire to manage upwards. How much that has played a part is hard to tell given what he works under and the shadow man will no doubt remain so the next one in will just have to keep the lights on as well.
Waggot has had the luxury of working under an ownership under writing whatever losses every season yet he has still squeezed the club as much as possible however the next one in will not have that luxury.
Hate to say it but it's likely to be worse.

Good to see Bakole end the Jared Anderson hype train, something i never jumped on although allegedly he got the better of Fury in sparring.
Not seen the Ruiz jnr v the walking pharmacy fight so wondering if it's worth watching back ?

Do you think the recent signings actually signal a desire to get the club back to the premier league?
Not by any stretch of the imagination.

Hmm..You could almost think it was deliberate plan to relegate us to the second tier, so that the academy could make up half the first team..
I think the recent signings have put that one to bed, for now, however i personally reckon a few inside Ewood would go down that road if they could.

At a cost of around £300k (I think it was a release clause thing too but can't remember for sure) and having just been the top scorer in the U21s Euros and in the team of the tournament, he seemed like a shrewd and intriguing signing at the time.
Turned out to be crap though of course.
Thought they'd spent a couple of million on him.

he`d been a star in the dutch u`21s and was highly regarded, for whatever reason,he could barely kick a football straight when he landed here
5 goals in 61 appearances for his previous club wasn't exactly prolific.

Maceo Rigters was a very odd signing.

Need to apply the same logic to a striker if Sammie goes.

Why a 'secret' meeting ?
What is the point in that other than to either cover something up or try and pacify a few egos.

Anyone remember the last time we played them on opening day? Our first game back in the big time under Souness, how times have changed.
Funnily enough we played them a few times on opening day before that.
Would you know ?

As we have heard recently, he has been to India and advised the owners not to spend.
He is the one with their ear and is clearly running the show.
Dodging fans meetings and hiding in the shadows, suggests he has something to hide and given his Kentaro links, this simply shows that the stink from the very early days, still exists.
He is also imo the one who is doing very nicely for his own pockets wheeling and dealing in the shadows of Blackburn Rovers.

Someone is clearly back giving info to Nicko. I don’t think players who are plying their trade in the top leagues of Holland or Belgium are going to come into the championship and let themselves down. Hopefully he’s a good one, he’s just finishing playing in Go Aheads European Qualifiers and rumours on twitter are that Ajax wanted him as their number 2
Yep he appears to have got more right recently than in the last 5 years so it's no coincidence despite how his groupies might constantly big him up.

If there was a handshake between Szmodics, Waggot and his agent over a 6/8 million figure and Rovers are holding out for more then i'ts likely his and his agents dummies have come out.
