  1. Hyam is a plant pot i think he comes across a bit snidey to be honest, a big arrogant.

He needs to consider that ironically and fortunate for us it was Millwall pissing about and being negative at the back that led to our goal so no wonder fans are panicking.

He also needs to wake up to the fact he not the fans is very much a part of the responsibility of where we are this season so stop trying to deflect that.  You get the feeling down there some want to try and blame fans instead of accepting their own failings.

Thirdly they brought in a 37 yr old to show him how it's done, a guy who is twice the defender he is but now getting old.

Concentrate on the pitch and your team mates not what's going on behind the goal you prat.

More walking football. Nobody is actually running on to the ball . We play in front of teams all the time and never get in up the sides. We play standing still stuff in little bunches, sooner or later we balls it up. it so easy for an opponent to nip in and steal the ball.

Great goal from Sammi, the goal of a man in top goal scoring form. No hesitation - bang - far corner. The lad is priceless.

I’ll have more to say tomorrow.

I watched Ipswich later. It was like they were playing another sport. Pace, high tempo, never say die attitude. Chalk and cheese.

They are everything we should have been after lge 1 promotion but we had a set of dollopers running the show who were actually getting backed with cash but choosing to tell the owners woa slow down.

Never forgive them for that they really weren't the heroes they were made out to be and the biggest tit of the lot is still riding the gravy train.

  3. If you suddenly find you can't or do not want to put in 15 million a year but don't want to or feel you dare not sell the club then it figures the attention might then turn to reducing it to a level you can just keep it plodding and leave incompetents running it whilst virtually ignoring it again.

Someone there clearly doesn't give a stuff what happens but we've been here before.

After finishing 8th then 7th i wonder what the odds were on relegation before summer began.....

So you're comparing yourself to the Venkys then?

Cos the only comparable situation is that you've employed him as your gardener then given him 50p to do a £500 landscaping job.

Trust you to try and defend it.

This guy paid 800k for Leo, gave Ennis a 4yr deal and agreed to a loan fee and several million more quid for an unproven in this country striker just because his agent suddenly upped the price.

Whilst he's had to work under limitations it isn't quite the shirt buttons you allude to there, some other clubs seem to manage it.

I’ll need to see how he goes for the rest of the season before I jump to that conclusion.

There was something else at play though with this one and without going down any Anthony Stokes type rabbit holes in terms of dodgy signings i can only think JDT didn't sanction it, didn't rate him and was proving a point.

I just think we need to mix it up and get fresh legs in the starting 11 (something we should have done at the weekend) cant just keep playing pretty much the same 11 in thecsame formation and expecting/hoping things will improve

Yeah to be honest i would've made big changes on Saturday i'm surprised he didn't.

  7. Waggot was hobnobbing with Shearer and drinking champers with his geordie pals in the lounges at the cup game.

That's why he's here he's riding Englands best gravy train he'll go nowhere unless he's shoved and i dread to think what comes next.

Trademark Rovers would be to offer Fleck a new 2-year deal now because they feel bad for him getting injured while playing in a Rovers shirt - and not gettingt he opportunity to show the fans how good he is.

Was reading the comments of a Sheff Utd fan earlier who was saying his legs had clearly gone before they gave him a 12 month extension.

Would love to see Koumetio get a start against Millwall really like what I saw against Newcastle. Seems a bit raw around the edges but potentially just what our team need(aside from a quality striker and  a commanding keeper)

They all looked good v Newcastle but a few days later looked like they'd never seen each other before for 45 mins.

I like the look of him but not sure i'd be risking starting him in this, could always throw him on up front later if it's not going well !

Greetings from the Potteries.. Just thought I’d provide a little bulletin from our board on your former fans’ favourite 😅 feel free to rofl, lol or smh as you deem appropriate.

hard luck satdee… we’re all in the mix now, could be carnage

I think as time goes on we'll realise it was our former head coach who was the real issue with this one and maybe not the player.

Strongly suspect that Broughton (or someone) is being held back to be the fall guy should we go down. So the narrative would be: "Look, we have been proactive. Bad run after xmas, JDT sacked and new manager installed. We've gone down and poor recruitment hasn't helped -we have sacked GB (or other). We look forward to a new season and must all work hard together to get Rovers back up."

Edit Oh and of course, if we go down it was all JDT's fault.

    The new Paul Senior.

It was a total failure of a signing, but I can't imagine that's accurate. Wharton was sold for 18 million guaranteed. I know it will be paid over a few years, but I can't imagine how 6 months worth of it would equate to the wages and fees paid for an injury prone 32 yr old who hadn't played for his prior club since 6th December, on a 6 month deal.

Fag packet maths, let's assume the 18 mill will be paid over the length of his 5.5 year contract (which I'd be surprised by given our need for urgent cash due to the India situation), it's 3.2 million a year. If we paid 1.6 million to Fleck for 6 months work that's about 61k per week. That would be beyond scandalous even for us. It probably equates to more like one month of the Wharton money, two at most, which is still an abject waste given we got 17 minutes out of it.

6 months pay for Fleck out of the first Wharton instalment.

I'm a bit puzzled you would assume i was thinking it had all gone on him, come on !

Anyway if it's a long term thing there'll surely be insurance to cover it but how much would they have had to shell out for that policy and knowing the level of incompetence will they even have bothered.

  13. Braindead to give Fleck anything more than a pay as you play contract but this is pennywise pound foolish BRFC we are talking about.

6 months worth of the first Wharton instalment flushed straight down the bog.

But hey it's fine only another punt and Mcfadz has turned out ok so far and we've no right to expect anything other than a 50% success rate at best.

    Beyond stupid signing.

Soft lad, like Morton and his Sheff U antics.  Think they are too good to bleed for the cause here.

Just weak lads in early stages of pro development more used to tip tap stuff which they were both signed for to be fair.

Mortons gone down well at Hull this season and no doubt Moran will somewhere in the future, we are literally a stepping stone club for anybody now.  We can't be messing around honouring agreements to suit loanee and their parent clubs now though too much at stake.

Some PNE fans giving us pelters on twitter for only taking 350 to this game lby far the lowest away attendance in the championship) despite the fact they only took 250 (their game was a Friday night just before Xmas but still)

Complete clowns they are they took the same number as us to Norwich despite being higher in the league and our game being on tv on a Sunday dinner time.

They really do give Burnley a run for their money in the delusion stakes but unlike them lot they have very little to back it up with.

Just seems a strange angle to go down. Any hostility in the crowd amidst poor performance after poor performance has all been aimed away from the players and manager.

I still find it strange how these boo boys berating our team (apparently) would specifically be aggravated by playing deep and going long.

Because it's a frustrating style of play to watch and some just think oh they are negative they can't be arsed shit manager and players who don't care.

When in fact it's designed to stop the opposition and protect a slow back four, going in nil nil at half time in a relegation scrap is never a disaster.

    The boo boys?

Don't pretend they don't exist there is nothing more piss boiling than hearing boos at half time when it's nil nil it's fucking pathetic.

I remember us laying into the dingles for that when Dyche was first there it's six fingered territory that stuff and we are better than that.

We need some urgency from the team obviously but we need patience and backing from the terraces there'll be plenty time and justification to kick off if we are rubbish and lose again but lets not contribute to it.

Despite a really good start to his Rovers career I have to say that yesterday McFadzean looked exactly what he is, a 38 year old centre half. Swansea exploited this and along with the dithering Hyam looked like a slow and cumbersome duo. Perhaps it's time to look at O'Riordan and Koumetio and give them an opportunity. I couldn't understand bringing Gilsenan on so late in the game. He is on fire and scoring for fun so why hold him back? Baffling.

Eustace has some big decisions to make for Tuesday. I hope for his and Rovers sake he makes the right ones.

This is a real problem now and one the boo boys need to consider as we have to defend deep and maybe go long to cover the slowest defence in the league.

  19. A forward thinking CEO with nous would have offered some incentive at the Newcastle game knowing it was a guaranteed big crowd with many part timers and knowing how important the league games now are.

A 10% discount voucher, a free pie or pint, a free scarf !  Absolutely anything to offer a bit of incentive to get a few more through the door.  They are useless to a man down there and couldn't care less, instead punting a 5 game package that barely 100 people will afford to commit to.

I'm sick to the back teeth of these imcompetent buffoons stealing a living the only thing important now is getting 3 points and trying to get as much help as possible from the stands.
