  1. Whilst chaos ensues in there on Sat as thousands jostle for the best available seats left a lone apologist turns up. He finds his seat he's sat on for nearly two generations not obstructed but removed completely along with those either side. A metal pole and stabilisers are now bolted to the step where his seat once sat.

Shrugging his shoulders he sighs "oh it's a shame they've had to reconstruct it like this so they can see from India. They didn't mean it it's all an innocent mistake the Venkys just have no understanding of the English scaffolding system, they've been duped again"

Off he shuffles to sit on a step elsewhere. No sign of a riot here, who is this mystery guy ?

  2. I think the stumbling block in the past was that the stand was pretty full and frankly the gantry destroys the view from 1/4 of the prime seats in the middle.

Now there's sweet fa fans in there they can build as big a gantry as they like for the most pointless exercise in the clubs history.

Now the world won't get to see a real football stand with decent leg room. Now all they will get to see is the JW with what few fans are in there with their knees up to their nose as it was made for people who are 2ft 3" :D

But surely with cost cutting measures in abundance we can't afford this. Factor in Cheston said ticket money goes towards running costs of the ground and that's going to take a big blow because of the stayaways. Then they lay some off who've worked there for years then hey presto they spend money on something as pointless as this.

So lack of income doesn't apply to stupid whims then ?

  3. Great effort from Frampton he's a real pressure fighter and to do it over there he's proved the real deal Barry McC always said he would be.

Whyte and Allen on the other hand proved what I feared, a pair of cloggers. Disappointed with that and the best thing Whyte will be is a poor mans Chisora I think.

  4. Yeah I'd like to see Burns have a go at him again but he's got a serious test first. I like Burns although he frustrates to watch sometimes it's impossible to dislike the guy, needs to ditch the pink stuff though :o

Really looking forwards to Santa Cruz v Frampton, potential firecracker and I probably lean towards the home boy basically because he is just that. Another I'm quite looking forward to is the Whyte v Allen scrap, both probably a bit limited but nothing better than seeing 2 HW's trying to knock each others blocks off !

  5. Graham remains in the shop window here to an extent, score plenty and get good reviews in the first half of the season and an ambitious club around the promotion spots may take a punt. Half a mill plus add ons might do it or even just a better wage and a loan deal.

Either we are paying him a heck of a wage or there must have been other incentives to come here unless he just wants to put some roots down and play first team footy. No player at this club who's viewed as an asset is safe though.

  6. If you wanted to be cute about it you'd say there's been a delay then start the work when the season starts and say it'll have to be closed for a while. Get people in the JW then say there's more problems and it will have to remain closed a while longer, job done.

Like everything else at Rovers these days you can almost write the script !

  7. Wise words. Smith is also defending a title. I hope he knocks his head off.

Groves and Callum Smith sat together on the panel for Abraham fight looking a bit uneasy in each others company lol. Mind you everyone is uneasy around Groves ! Would like to see that one, good match up.

  8. Well anyone can have a bad night and anyone can have a good one and sometimes that's all it takes.

I rate Smith highly but I'd like to have seen him take a smaller step up first. I've always said I don't think Canello is all he's cracked up to be but he's big and strong at the weight and can take shots. I do think he gets a bit gassed after about 7/8 rounds though. It'll be very difficult to get a decision over there mind.

  9. Snr is allegedly trying to set up Jnr v GGG in USA regardless of what happens here but I doubt it. Also if GGG lost Canello would suddenly be back in thinking he's a chance.

Eubank snr fancies himself as a promoter but can only get in on it off someone else's back but you'll never out move Eddie Hearn. Loved the guy in the ring but out of it he's a clueless idiot who'll wreck that lads career before it's got going if he carries on. Apparently he's that controlling he won't even let Hearn speak to Jnr other than to say hello.

Barmy, he should be introduced to Venkys they'd make sweet music together :o

  10. Kell Brook v GGG big fight and big coup by Eddie Hearn to get Golovkin over here. Another guy stepping up like Khan and will be out his depth imo. Can only see one winner although Brook is very good and should present a test to triple G who takes shots to give them at times.

Eubank has messed it up for JNR by all accounts, when is he ever going to learn. Also Canello and his Golden Boy promoters pulled out of a signed for fight with GGG so big credit to Brook for having the minerals to step in and move up to middleweight. Might be painful though.
