Gueye did everything right in the 94th minute. Hacks the ball through a crowd of players and finds himself in the area surrounded by flailing legs. What does a pro footballer do? Answer find a leg and go over it. He has absolutely no footballing nous or skill. That simple thing. Every other player whose ever played goes down. The ref would give it as turning it down would unleash bedlam from the home team and giving it just ends the game even stevens. He needs potting assp.

100% agree sir, a great summary and you've nailed all the main points for me. I'd add that I'm still not sure about this overloading on the right wing tactic. Not having a great striker would be helped if we had more bodies in the middle.

For me this game showed that we do too much on the wings. We need players to be more central affecting the game and pulling oppo players inwards to give cover. We play wing backs so they need midfield cover when they bomb forward but they don't want wingers in front of them getting in their way. That just adds up to tippy tappy triangle play in the corner with the striker checking out his nail manicure waiting for the ball to arrive. Clearly I'm just an average joe from the crowd and not a badge carrying coach but that sounds sensible to me and was my observation yesterday. Trust the player on the ball and find your own space, stop crowding each other just in case shit happens. Creating an overload? Why? You come out with the ball at your feet ready to cross and there's no one there to take it. We don't have an Erling Haaland who can do it on his own, we need several players in there to make something happen. IMO. Anyhow, good 3 points, very welcome.

My question is why are organised to have all our players on the wings, no one in the middle no one filling the attack from the middle. If you win the ball on the wing there's no point as you've no targets in the middle to pass to. Second point is why am I even bothered enough to post this, I'm so disillusioned I really can't be arsed.

They miss the whole idea of being a football club, my question is WHAT'S THE F'ING POINT!! Who wants to watch that and support a club like that. You're in the entertainment business - ENTERTAIN FFS!!! We've bought young, fit kids, some with real pace, but ZERO football skills, and I mean ZERO, nothing in their footballing senses, nothing in their footballing brains, nothing in their first touches, no idea how to use their bodies. From my recollection Gudjohnssen has missed 3 sitters in 3 games. Tonight will either be his redemption or a confirmation that he's useless. My money is on the latter.
