A stab in ther dark for both teams imo. So i'll have one too. 1. Both teams gained impressive (imo) new managers last season which resulted in drastically improved defensive performances. 2. Spurs had a miles better squad to start with and 2/3 top drawer forwards so their renaissance began much earlier last season, also they have been able to splash the cash in a much bigger way than BRFC. 3. Spurs only setback this summer was losing their managers manager to the increasingly vulgar Chelsea. 4. Common sense points to a Spurs victory but much lauding of their new status in the press/media could give them a sense of over confidence, also BRFC are no mugs at stopping other teams playing /scoring as many clubs found from the new year forward last season. Also as many teams will find out to their cost we will carry a far greater attacking threat than for quite a few years. I have a feeling given Spurs quality up front (Defoe is top drawer and Keane will always give everything) will prob mean that this is one of the home games that Hughes will select a 4-5-1 starting formation with Kuqi up front battling with the Spurs giants with the aim of frustrating them and Dickov playing an attacking midfield / support role. Conceding territory for 60 mins whilst maintaining a clean sheet would hopefully leave spurs open to Bellamy's intro in the second half. 5. Lastly opening fixtures of Portsmouth away and Boro home might just see them off to a 6 point flier, and with a huge local derby against Chelsea next up after us over confidence might hopefully see them take their eyes off the BRFC ball as it were. I would at this point suggest that come the day after the match my prediction will have been proven to be complete and utter ballaox!

It wouldn't help gate revenue any but given the poor turn-out maybe things like this should be reduced for season tckt holders as with Res and Youth team games. Or maybe the ticket stub (and others for non season tckt games) could be used in the shop to get 20% off the new shirts etc (1 stub per shirt of course.... I'm sure that they would still be very profitable at that.) Or possibly Ticket numbers to go into a draw for two people to accompany the team free of charge on a chosen away trip. Or any combination of the three. Its not rocket science, anything to fire the imagination and provide talking points / incentives for the supporters would be productive.

And if they get promoted they will double their income. If we are to maintain our status indefinitely we need to double our gate which cannot be done under our present structure. Simple as.
