  1. Quote Colin the gobshite.........oops there's another "Rem you have 2 eyes and 1 mouth....... please try to use them in that order. Sorry but I cannot condone stupidity and ignorance and particularly not on a subject as serious as this thread. Grow up. at every opportunity that you are intellectually threatened is pathetic and infantile and is typical of a lynch-mob mentality I always thought that high temperatures affected people with excessive body fat most. Eh? Sorry but I dont understand that last response...... c0ck. Silly sod! You know I have never said that. Why are you being so stupidly emotive? Try to stay rational Dont be childish. You arguments are becoming more and more juvenile and stupid. not descend to the politics of the playground Stu. Sorry Stu but I did warn you, with you continually resorting to an infantile 'Yah boo sucks' type argument and you attempting to put words in my mouth I decided that our own personal 'debate' had gone well past its sell-by date. The day that I have to continually explain myself over and over again to intellectual pygmies is the day to wrap it up. Choose your own rebuttal from the following as both apply....... Life is too short / Sorry but I dont suffer fools gladly. ........It's that Phillip, he just doesn't do his reseach properly does he? Neither do you numpty. (I feel that I should be doing this in capitals btw). This was my request to Philips accusation that I had been 'offensive toward affected people'......"but I challenge you to be specific and quote any posts on this thread where my views are inaccurate or offensive toward affected people. He couldn't find anything to back it up and neither can you. So butt out, stop sh1t stirring and for once try to make a meaningful contribution to topics on this board! Sorry if I am being a bit short with you Colin but like I said in the last quote "I do not suffer fools gladly". I have not been offensive to affected people. Period.
  2. Correct. So rule No 1.......... never vote for idealists no matter how they try to seduce your vote.
  3. Well its not all that tough is it Scotty? 2 weeks after I posted that we had only sold about 7000 this appeared in the paper "Rovers have sold 10,000 tickets to press according to the LET tonight" 3000 Season ticket sales in those two weeks probably proves me being accurate yet again. So in accepting that why were you trying to pour scorn on John Williams? You were being a bit unfair cos the poor chap was obviously in no position to tell the truth and be the bearer of bad news in public was he? btw Mods / Admin why are there about 3 days postings on this thread missing?
  4. Where and When? Name any similar actions carried out across the globe and against every major religion in the name of Judaism in the last 18 years Eddie please. (Other than in retaliatory actions taken as a matter of policy in response to palestinian atrocities).
  5. Right Philip, lets look at this objectively should we? And the following quote is the best example of me being "offensive toward affected people" that you can come up with Philip?......... "This appeared three posts before mine Thenodrog. I think describing it as odious was quite mild. QUOTE(thenodrog @ Jul 11 2005, 23:41 ) Why your opinion is always the right one Eddie? Why nobody should ever hold anything other than your opinion! Spoken just like an arrogant still-wet-behind-the-ears 18 year old Eddie. Its difficult to believe that you can have the temerity and arrogance to think that you are always right. err......... when I think about it you could even be one of mine! What was yer mums maiden name? Talk about clutching at straws in trying to justify your own stupidity! Offensive?..... The last two sentences were even followed by humerous smileys ffs! As your post displays tour total lack of a sense of humour I'll explain the humour s l o w l y for you to digest in your own good time. The first smiley was to accompany 'irony' whilst the second was to accompany 'humour'. You can look em up in the dictionary when you have a minute. As it stands you've just made a right **** of yourself. Even Eddie didn't complain. I suggest that when you are in a hole its best to stop digging!.......... and until then butt out.
  6. Eddie you are trying to defend the indefensible. If it was just this country (I assume you mean Britain and not France) then you may have a point but it's obviously not. The islamic world is at odds with so many other countries and religions. There may be differences between religions but is there this level of animosity between Christian and Hindu's? Sikhs and Buddhist? Orthodox and Jew or any combination thereof? How many of them fly planes into crowded buildings or blow up trains, schools, theatres etc? Yet every one of those major religions has serious and ongoing issues with the Islamic world! How many people of all religions are murdered each year all over the world by Islamic extremists in the name of Islam? You have to admit that it is a common thread that you simply cannot ignore. Personally I'm absolutely sick to death of reading about atrocities carried out in the name of this intolerant, backward and pointless religion.
  7. Five and a half thousand posts and you need to ask? Jeez. Anyway has anyone else laid bare their politics? OK its Fri and I'm off for a pint BUT a quick off the cuff observation........ you can choose your religion, but you cannot change your race. So imo racism is the worst offence. Hows that?
  8. And I replied........ I couldn't believe that you named me there Philip. I have posted nothing that you could categorise as odious imo. Sure I've castigated a few numpties who do not appear to know what a state of emergency means but I challenge you to be specific and quote any posts on this thread where my views are inaccurate or offensive toward affected people. When you cannot find any then I suggest that you take your head from up your vindictive arse and get back to sipping your red wine whilst gazing at the sunset from your supremely priveledged vantage point and stick to commenting on what appears to be the one thing that you do appear to know something about........ the finances at BRFC. And I'm still waiting. Wassup having trouble cutting and pasting or is it having to admit that you are wrong?
  9. Before you chuck any more mud Nayef I would ask you to please qualify that accusation about me having obvious extreme right wing views by quoting any of my posts on this thread that would back up your statement. I await your response with interest and if you cannot then I trust that either admin or moderators will take appropriate action against you in accordance with the board rules. Mods.........These wild accusations are both rude and insulting, and its notable that Philipl could find nothing to back up a similar accusation on page 13 /14 either.
  10. The sentence in bold italics is a strange statement from a usually very 'careful' source imo.......... Root Out Evil Extremists - Prince Charles The Prince of Wales has called on Muslims to 'root out those among them who preach and practise such hatred and bitterness'. Prince Charles said it was the "duty of every true Muslim" to condemn last week's suicide bombings. He added that a "deeply evil influence" must have been brought to bear on the "impressionable young minds" of the bombers. Writing in the Daily Mirror, Charles said that Islam was not the cause of the terrorism and pointed out that most Muslims had condemned the atrocities. He said: "Some may think this cause is Islam. It is anything but. It is a perversion of traditional Islam." Strange in that surely present day Islam in it's many guises also by definition a perversion of traditional Islam just as any modern religion is a perversion of the original. Somehow his definition needs clarifying imo.
  11. No you wont.
  12. I'm struggling with that Kamy. 1. Wasn't one of the failed Israeli suicide bombers who was found dead in the Med from Blackburn? 2. Weren't officers from the anti-terrorist squad searching the 'College of Knowledge' recently? 3. Weren't terrorist suspects arrested in Blackburn recently and their properties searched for explosives? imo this incident had more than an air of inevitability. Another thing that continually baffles me is all this supposed concern amongst our IndoPak communities for Iraq and Palestine. Why is that? Surely both are Arab countries almost as far removed from the Indian sub-continent as this country. Furthermore Iraq was famously ruled by a (universally accepted) tyrant in Saddam, whose B'aath Party apparently dumped all matters of religion way down the list of priorities. Sure naturalised Brits can lobby and protest etc about it but becoming suicide bombers? Hardly! Maybe if you had mentioned the duffing up of the primitive Taliban regime in Afghanistan and the border areas of Pakistan, the bombers spiritual homeland and where at least one had recently visited for 'religious training' I may have experienced just a glimmer of understanding but Iraq! and Palestine!....... do me a favour. These bombers were supposed to be British ffs! What are the chances of 4 English Christians blowing themselves and as many fellow passengers as possible up on buses in Harare as a protest at Mugabe's tyrannical and murderous treatment of white farmers who wouldn't leave their homeland? None I would suggest so why? Is Zimbawe so much different to Palestine?........ Anyone? Rebels without a cause springs to mind with these murderers.
  13. There was a clue in my previous post Stu "Dont be childish. You arguments are becoming more and more juvenile and stupid. Please do not descend to the politics of the playground Stu." Sorry Stu but I did warn you, with you continually resorting to an infantile 'Yah boo sucks' type argument and you attempting to put words in my mouth I decided that our own personal 'debate' had gone well past its sell-by date. The day that I have to continually explain myself over and over again to intellectual pygmies is the day to wrap it up. Choose your own rebuttal from the following as both apply....... Life is too short / Sorry but I dont suffer fools gladly. Anyway Stu........Up the Rovers
  14. The first half of that post is daft, but the second half is a good question. Modi. As far as I understand to be Jewish is to be a follower of the Jewish faith (Judaism) and does not constitute a member of a race. Whereas Anti-sematism is an opposition to the Jewish faith. Therefore not racist. Maybe the relatively recently introduced term of 'Islamophobia' may come into the equation regarding a close equivalent of anti-sematism but its just a guess and I do stand to be corrected.
  15. 1. Because 'brainwashed d1ckheads' is fairly accurate. 2. They think that they are doing it in the name of Islam even if no one else does.
  16. Dont be childish. You arguments are becoming more and more juvenile and stupid. Please do not descend to the politics of the playground Stu. There are not 50 odd families grieving today because of the BNP ffs! There were not 6500 families grieving in New York because of the BNP either. THe BNP had sod all to do with Madrid, Istanbul, Kenya, Bali etc etc. The BNP is simply not worth consideration in this issue.
  17. Silly sod! You know I have never said that. Why are you being so stupidly emotive? Try to stay rational. Anyway 100 people by word of mouth isn't much? Depends on what context you place the numbers in cos we now know to our cost what deadly havoc 4 or 5 brainwashed d1ckheads can do in the name of Islam.
  18. Kamy I never said he was invited by BwD council, but surely they were negligent in not monitoring the use of their facilities? The buck must stop with them. Were you there in person because this report from the Lancashire council of Mosques web site http://www.lancashiremosques.com/lcm_news_article.asp?ID=476 suggests that he was not ejected but allowed to conclude his meeting (1.5 hours) albeit in the presence of 100 people and a police representative. Whether the officer(s) was familiar with whatever language was employed that evening is not reported. Interestingly and according to Councillor Khan the room was said to be booked by an inter faith discussion group, this in turn turns out to be something called Al Risala http://www.alrisala.org/ which whilst hardly qualifying as 'inter faith' does at least sound genuine at first glance and which if that is indeed the case has been seriously hi-jacked into funding the appearence of a well known islamic extremist. Whilst clicking around I also found this http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,...,893392,00.html prophetic report from 2003 which makes grim reading when considering how out-of-touch the Council of Mosques appears to be. As I said before our best hope in finding a solution lies within the muslim community and as I also said before I am not holding my breath.
  19. Quite right. Dave Birch has touched on this too. Generalising maybe, but my opinion is that whilst the security and intelligence forces can do their best, the only real hope is for the muslim community to reject and outlaw the extremists and fundamentalists amongst them that peddle hatred and intolerance to the young and impressionable. This in effect is a progression of the old Norman Tebbit 'British are you? Right....... well which cricket team do you support then' theory, very unfortunately I'm not holding my breath. I wasn't invited but I gather that when Blackburn council (unbelievably stupid and insulting decision ) allowed Hamsa to speak in Bangor St community centre it was packed to the rafters. After 9/11 there were widespread and public celebrations by muslims in Blackburn. If as I expect this is the same in other towns and cities then it shows that extremists are definitely not a tiny, secretive and frowned upon minority.
  20. I hadn't spotted that! What a gud un Scotty! I take my hat off to you. My workmate, one or two mates and all my wifes family are Roman catholics and they all need putting in their place and reminding of their status from time to time. I've overworked the usual 'catholocism is OK for some but its not as good as the real thing' line and I really do need something new. Are you claiming copyright or can I just borrow it to use whenever necessary?
  21. Eh? Sorry but I dont understand that last response...... c0ck.
  22. Heat? Skinheads? Surely that has no bearing on the matter. I always thought that high temperatures affected people with excessive body fat most Scotty.
  23. Fine words about London (even if Stratford-on-Avon is dismissed out of hand) but did he mention Leeds at all? Or to quote the Bard 'Ah there's the rub!' (or maybe one of the rubs )
  24. 1. Where have I suggested a policy of deportation? 2. 'I warned you' is a pretty valid line, especially when compared to your daft views...... btw I still am warning you. 3. Quote "the belief that people's qualities are influenced by their race and that the members of other races are not as good as the members of your own, or the resulting unfair treatment of members of other races Now, no doubt Phil will argue that Muslims are not a race, rather a cultural or religious group, but he'd be arguing on a technicality and we all know it."Unquote Muslims are NOT of one race. Fact! To criticise Islam or aspects of Islam is simply not racist! Period! Technicality or not, or however you personally want to twist things the way you are peddling innaccuracies and you know it. And by throwing cheap shots and sensationalism and screaming 'RACIST' every 5 minutes and at every opportunity that you are intellectually threatened is pathetic and infantile and is typical of a lynch-mob mentality. There thats that! Now......... Given the latest information that the perpetrators were 'British' citizens, and given that you admit in your last post that there is definitely a serious threat posed to the security of the citizens of country by Islamic fanatics, and given your constant criticism of other peoples attempts at proposing solutions.............. so lets now hear yours please Scotty.
