Found it.................. Hilarious! This really should be kept on Mboard Gold. http://replay.gmgradio.com/player.gmg?id=67 btw Leighton James is up before the beak on Thursday for drink driving! I bet Sav wont be offering him a lift home! -
I really am perplexed. What has Kieron Dire EVER done in any game ANYWHERE for ANY team to suggest that he is anywhere near international class in footballing ability...... never mind in attitude? His entire career has been totally nondescript. The only thing of note that I rem in his entire career was taking a couple of swings from Bowyer.

Amen to that.

I dont think 'Macca' could recognise a good player if his very life depended on it. -
Bowling green pitches and cautions dished out like confetti for even daring to look aggressive stack up against us too.

http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=4...tball_home& Him and Tosh are still going at it....... Anybody know where that link is to the superb Sav v Leighton James radio interview? James totally lost it it was hilarious and really should be permanently linked on here somewhere. -
I havent read all the previous posts so apologies if I plagiarise anybody but....... Evidence that there is a GOD AS! Just about 5 mins after I declared that I was desperately rooting for Brazil to score to get that fool back into civvy street where he belongs! I'm not pro Bentley as the new England messiah but for the fool to play Dire and Jenas before his is just a pathetic wimpering sop to appease the southren press. Lets look at this 1. Dire....... wtf has he ever done in Newcastle colours ... never mind Englands .... to suggest that he has anything whatsoever to bring to the international scene? He doesn't score or make goals, doesn't tackle, there really is nothing there! 2. Jenas....... ditto. 3. Lamps and Stevie G in midfield! (especially when Brazil have Bucky and Kaka as attacking midfielders:o) The fool obviously possesses the memory capabilities of an average goldfish? Those two cannot play together full bloody stop. This is old stuff now by me, but Lampard needs to be told there is only one shirt available to him .... Gerrards! 4. Gerrard simply needs informing of that situation. 5. Owen was good because of two assets .... his speed and his finsihing. His speed has quite obviously been consigned to the past. As a result his finishing capabilities dont really come into the equation any longer. Yesterdays man. 6. Smith! Oh my God! s somebody has already said he is MU's Paul Dickov. He is not good enough for MU never mind England! He is a complete non starter at international level simply because he does not have a 'best position'. 7. Downing in the squad is fine by me....just. He's not the best left footed player in the world but he's the best left footed wingman that England have. 8. Wes Brown there really mis nothing to say about this mans inclusion in the squad! His ability speaks for itself. That lot is for starters but by far the worst and most talentless member of the squad and the most clueless AS THE WHOLE FOOTBALLING WORLD KNEW FROM DAY BLOODY ONE..... is Maclaren!

Unless there is some kind of 'clause' or agreement in McCarthy's contract with us that statement is absolutely irrelevent. Two names for you to ponder (who really shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath) .... Boumsong and Shearer. -
Don't think his gaffs at the World Cup helped him much either. for what it's worth ... and I do not like Terry one bit.... I don't think that he should have been sent off that day.

Suprising to see Bayer Leverkeusen in there. One would have thought that the eyties proven guilty of cheating would have been excluded. Then again........nah... football doesn't work like that does it? I wonder what stunt WHU will pull to get in? -
1. Wonder if Posh has condescended to staying in the same hotel as the rest of the team yet? Or is his inclusion conditional that he turns up alone? 2. I don't think Gerrards world class by a country mile. Never mind his TV appearences I've seen him live twice this season against us and I've not seen anything close to being world class about him. (Tugay certainly sold him all ends up for the goal at Ewood! ) Sure he can be insirational and strong and has scored some timely goals but world class ? Nah.

Revs right I'm afraid eddie. 1. Too much baggage about Beckham with his stupid wife and the entourage that is Beck's publicity team around. Team spirit / morale will no doubt suffer. A football team only has room for one manager! 2. 2002 was FOUR years ago eddie. He is yesterdays man. Beckham had lots of stamina and a great right foot and thats it! He has no pace, no left foot, can't dribble, can't tackle and can't head..... and his stamina will be waning fast. A drowning man will grasp at straws........ As I said before this is the beginning of the end for Maclaren.
-
So thats starting roles for Bentley and Maclaren I assume?

posted twice

We've already had the end of the beginning for the inept Maclaren but to pick Beckham now over an in-form Bentley would initiate the beginning of the end for the clown. Bentley's form has placed Maclaren in an unenviable position. It seems to me that certain outside (vested interests) influences are being exerted to bring Beckham back, if he does and Beckham spews it he will carry the can as the 'wise old owls' at wapping will say that Bentley should have played. If Becks does OK then its the David and Victoria show big time. No manager who has ever gained legendary status would ever go back on their opinion and eat humble pie at the behest of the press and media! Lets name em.... Shanks, Paisley, Clough, Ferguson and biggest name of all Ramsey were there own men first and foremost and not the pet puppy of the media.
-
It will of course end in tears all the quicker for us, but at least the club should benefit financially albeit in the short term.
-
Predicatably Bentley is getting booed by the inbreds. ............. His cross was mishandled forDowning to score the second goal

Granted the initial aim of all but half a dozen teams is to beat the drop, but I take it that you were not at Ewood last week then? -

I agree. I'd rather Hughes had got Sidwell on a free than Hargreaves for the price the Mancs have paid. Anyway its a strange one imo. Where is Hargreaves going to play and will they be able to play him and Carrick in the same team? I certainly dont think 4-4-2 will suit and the Manc fans hate anything else. -

It does if as appears likely Kenyon wrote his script -

Obviously the £6m wages wanted pa EACH by the vastly over-rated Lampard and Terry over the next 5 years is making even Peter Kenyon cough. The cost of making meat of one (Shev and Ballack) and fish of the others within the Chelsea squad is coming home to roost. I think (hope) WHU will ultimately regret their January remuneration policy in the long term too. -

Fife..... since when do any of our players actually have to be proved to be lifelong BRFC supporters? Everybody must know that they are simply football journeymen whose talents are easily available..... to the highest bidder. Once you accept that fact your dedication will be tested next imo. -

You forget Tyrone....... after Gudjonssen went to Barca Mido was Hughes first choice target ahead of Benni Macarthy. -

Eh? Performance related bonuses are pretty standard in every business. I'm sure that Hughes prob gets paid a lot in salary but his shrewd purchases and development of players has made / saved us millions. Similarly with league position bonuses at 650,000 or so per position Hughes has earned us big money compared to his predecessors. Add to that revenue from 2 FA cup semi's and European matches and you have one bloody brilliant employee! I would love to pay someone £1m pa...... if they made me £2m. Wouldn't you do the same lechuck? Or maybe you'd be daft enough to see them leave and go to where the grass is greener. -

Lot of fuss about nothing on here. The players are just hired guns who move around regularly for more lucre. Why do we keep getting so emotional? Has everyone forgot that by rights we should really be commenting on the impending departure of Gudjonnsen or Mido as Benny was only 3rd choice to replace Bellamy! Make a good few million out of him and replace him with someone who will score as many next season and who we can make even more money out of next summer. Only rem to cut the management in on the rewards too! It might not be what we really want but it certainly does represent superb business acumen!
