  1. Is that a piss take? Might as well invite Chris Brown back as well. Home games 2 and 3 Corry Evans (as he'll be injured by then) and Elliott Bennett.
  2. I took it that way in the light of recent attempts to open up lines of communication with the owners.
  3. Not having a go at Chaddy here, but honestly, this just looks like a desperate attempt to make it appear as though we're doing something. What are the chances of us landing him if there are 12 clubs interested?
  4. Good post. We're already likely to lose Armstrong for less than his real worth because the buffoons in charge at Ewood agreed to a ludicrous sell on clause then failed to prioritise our any of our top assets (other than the injured Dack) to protect the Club. The rest are also likely to walk out for free in 12mths due to the negligence of Waggott and Mowbray. The only chance surely of getting anyone to re-sign is if we replace the Coventrio with a dynamic and forward thinking management team.
  5. Best Post on this thread imo.
  6. (Tin hat on) As an opening attempt at establishing some form of communication between the owners and the fans I don't think it's a bad effort at all. People complain when we hear nothing from them then they complain when we do hear from them so they're in a bit of a no win situation in that respect. However, as others have said, actions speak louder than words so it's what happens next that counts. Can they combine their financial support with taking matters by the scruff of the neck and sorting out the situation on the ground at Ewood by firing Waggott and Mowbray and team and replacing them with a competent and unconflicted CEO and a progressive forward thinking manager?
  7. Spot on Gav, King absolutely stunk the place out here and only really put in a couple of performances in the Cup to put himself in the shop window shortly before his contract expired. As for Armstrong, I've my doubts about whether he can succeed in the Prem but from a purely footballing perspective I think we need to keep hold of him or we'll go down. Surprised to see people slagging his abilities off to quite such an extent though. From our point of view for present purposes he's a £25m player. Wouldn't mind playing poker with some of you guys!
  8. Don't know if there'll be many in the Blackburn End Saturday but here's one for the "Blackburn End Choir" Mowbray had a dream With his housing team He had no money so he asked the bank for a loan With flats at the back Few quid in the sack It's Tony Mowbray - I wish he'd just jack/ he needs the tin tack
  9. Good shout Andy, thanks for tipping me off via p.m. This to me makes the appointment of Park even more ludicrous. Brexit made Chamberlain's role largely redundant but why not just move him over as head of recruitment rather than dispense with him and bring someone else in? Ah, I forgot, he isn't a mate of Mowbray's. So that's the groundsman, Harvey, Barr, Cooper, Chamberlain gone. Does anyone still work there apart from the Coventrio and a team of analysts churning out player recommendations from their lap tops who we then discover we can't afford?
  10. Need some dissenting voices in the stadium though if things pan out the way we expect though wouldn't you say?
  11. Exactly. How it should work: TM "I want to sign player X. Can we do it?" SW " Yes but you'll have to trim the squad down or we'll run into FFP difficulties" How it actually works: TM: "Nah. Don't fancy that. I'm signing player X. And I'm going to give the squad players new and improved deals. And I'm going to bring four or five in on loan as well." SW: "No problem. The owners will probably write the cheque."
  12. The only thing I'd say about that is that the owners might have changed tack in an attempt to force TM out. Why they didn't just stick to plan A and pay him off at the end of the season god only knows. Have to say that out of all the hundreds of millions wasted to date a few more spent ridding the Club of the poisonous trio would be the best they've ever spent here.
  13. The vast majority of the blame. That's what they're paid to sort out. More clued up owners should have spotted the problems arising and cut the situation off at the pass long ago though.
  14. Yes, same shit happened at Coventry when they were all there and look how that Club have prospered since their departure.
  15. I renewed my original seat from 2 seasons ago today through gritted teeth. There were another seven people renewing and today at least we now had three people dealing with it so it took no time at all. This is most certainly NOT an endorsement of the Coventrio. Rovers 'till I die. Mowbray, Waggott, Venus, Lowe out !!!!!!
  16. Can't believe more isn't made of the owners' backing. We may be a Club in a smallish Lancashire town surrounded by rivals etc etc but our budget is no way commensurate with such due to the amounts the owners pump in Annually. With proper management on and off the pitch (which is what the owners pay the likes of Mowbray and Waggott handsomely for) we SHOULD be thriving.
  17. Yes this bs about being "on a journey" is starting to unravel a bit isn't? "Hang on, we've got to go back to the depot, this bus is sounding rough and there's a better one back at base"
  18. I find your views utterly bizarre, just for clarification, are you employed by the Club? Let's get it right, given the backing he's had Mowbray must go down as one of the worst managers the Club has ever had. Why on earth would you not want to replace him? Waggott is imo either totally incompetent or there is something far more sinister going on there with him. You yourself concede that commercially his results are very poor so where's the argument. And they both tried to con everyone about the sale of Brockhall and the alleged provision of a replacement facility.
  19. Yes, could have looked after Nyambe, Lenihan et al long ago by not padding out the squad with squad fillers, not dishing out lengthy contracts to substandard players, and not spending hundreds of thousands if not millions on loan fees.
  20. Why do people read an article that says one thing and jump to exactly the opposite conclusion?
  21. Does he just come on here and end up just taking up every suggestion that Joe H makes?
  22. You couldn't make it up could you. Any half decent manager would probably say you choose your style of play then bring in the players to suit that system. At worst, choose a method of play that suits your permanent players and bring in loanees who can or are willing to play that way. The manager treating us all like idiots yet again and taking the **** out of the fans and this once proud Club. **** off Mowbray, why are you even still here anyway? Ah yes, waiting for a year's compo.
  23. We "can" as in it's technically possible but it's far more likely we'll go down.
