His missus was worried that his "head wouldn't be in the game" whilst the transfer window was on and didn't want to be sat there worrying that he wasn't listening to her properly. She has therefore confiscated his laptop until Tuesday. On being asked about whether Chaddy could have his laptop back she said: "We'll see. On Tuesday we'll sit down and it's a different conversation"

Strongly disagree. I think we desperately need to sign a striker and central midfielder before 11p.m. absolute minimum. Of the ones we've signed already I think we've been exceptionally unlucky with Markanday but the others aren't particularly inspiring signings Edit: Have we signed Giles?

I was wondering that. If he wouldn't have sold Brereton for £150m, I'd love to have seen what he thought about the prospect of selling Rothwell to Bournemouth for £3m !

I don't think we need a centre half per se but I think he'd be a great option in midfield and could cover in defence if needed.

Based on the past performance of our recruitment department it is hard not to be that cynical isn't it? What is it they say when you're buying an investment "Past performance is no guarantee of future success" or something? Let's hope the same principle applies in reverse here!

He did not say Rothwell did not want to be considered. He said he made the decision to leave Rothwell at home himself as he didn't want to be sat there worrying if Rothwell’s head was in the right place. Completely out of order from Mowbray for me, should have stayed in house. He turned a storm in a teacup into a major issue. All that said, old news now, hopefully that's the end of it and we can move forward with Rothwell, Nyambe, Lenihan, AND 3 or4 quality additions to the squad which are badly needed.

Personally I think Maja would have been a bit too much of a gamble. If he broke down again we'd have had it. If he plays for the rest of the season unhindered would be a different story but then again he'd be more expensive at that point I suppose.
