  1. Agreed, I like the look of Ayari - definitely has something about him. Has the technical ability, but also puts his foot in. A proper 'Rovers' player, I guess. Chrisene, I'm still not 100% on. He's looked better in recent games, but I think he's still playing within himself a bit.
  2. There's less pressure for a result after the Sunderland game, so a point wouldn't be a disaster. Hard to leave anyone out from the last game, injuries pending / etc. You don't change a winning side.
  3. Really quite impressive when you consider how atrocious Sheffield have been in the Prem this season. The boy has clearly always had talent, but is a massive confidence player. Pleasing to see him doing well at the top level. The only shame, of course, is that we didn't make the money that we should from him.
  4. I know it'd likely be a massive shitshow. But I'd still take it over what we currently have.
  5. Today was brilliant, really enjoyed that. But it is slightly worrying that he thinks that we've been 'excellent' in every game he's managed for us. We've improved defensively, but if the last 11 games set the standard of 'excellent', it doesn't really inspire any confidence for next season. We've been a team in transition, of course, but we have been far, far from excellent on the whole.
  6. Wow, 4. Sunderland have been shit, but harsh to take anything away from our performance. Brilliant.
  7. Three really nicely worked goals, bit of a perfect away performance so far. We’ve all given them shit when it’s been warranted (which has been a lot recently), but cannot fault today. Clean sheet would really be the icing.
  8. Delighted to be 2 up, second goal was really well worked (and finished) 👍🏻
  9. Nice to see him get 2 goals and an assist yesterday. Seems to be doing quite well at Sheffield.
  10. I genuinely don't want to keep criticising him - as Rovers 'head coach', I want him to succeed as it means the club is succeeding. But he's really not helped himself with some of the shite that's left his mouth so far.
  11. I agree, but ultimately we need somebody who gives a shit about the club, is passionate about wanting us to succeed and puts these things above justifying their job by cost-cutting at any opportunity.
  12. With the recent news of Waggott going rogue and involving himself in both player acquisitions (at least Fleck, giving him £20pw) and directly appointing what appears to be a disastrous managerial appointment in Eustace. And he's been consistent that the owners have always agreed to send money / assist with the club whenever asked. You have to wonder if he has been the single point of failure over the last several years. Did he make the decisions to let contracts run down, or to not sell players like BBD and Rothwell? We're told 'the board' made the decision; he is paid to be the most senior member of that board. And that's before we go into horrific season ticket strategies, or embarrassing PR releases. The more I think about it - and the more you read into interviews by JDT and GB, the more I come to the conclusion that Waggott is THE issue at the club.
  13. Mainly because that isn't true. £2.5m was the original deal, then it was revised to £3.5m - as per Broughton himself last week.
  14. Not seen anything under JE to suggest we'll take anything from this game. Continuing to concede soft goals, failing to create much at the other end and a jumbled mess during transitions. Just have to hope the teams under us also fail to pick up points.
  15. You're on glue if you don't think Tronstad hasn't been one of our best players this season. Tonight he was a bit sloppy, but over the season, he's been pivotal (and very consistent).
  16. His reign so far has been disastrous, zero wins in 10 games. He claims to have prioritised keeping the back door shut, but we've continued to concede soft goals and lose games. Just with the added 'bonus' of becoming impotent in attack. If we were not skint, I'd be honestly tempted to write him off and let Johnson take the rest of the season. That Stoke game has been the best we've been (in the league) this calendar year.
  17. We were in free fall under JDT, but we’ve replaced him with a dud. He’s failed to win a single game (against some of the teams below/around us), we’ve continued to concede goals and now we’re much less of an offensive threat. Today was an easy a game as we are going to get this season. And we didn’t just fail to win, we handed them the 3 points.
  18. At least the time on the training ground paid off. Seems to be stealing a living.
  19. Absolutely dreadful. Ipswich were very poor today and we barely laid a glove on them. Our only hope this season is that the couple of teams below us are even shitter than we are. Some of those players did not show the hunger today and that makes me more angry than a lack of ability.
  20. The officiating has been atrocious (do we expect anything else in this league?), but let’s not allow it to disguise the fact that we are losing at home to one of the worst sides we’ve played in recent memory.
  21. Which makes the fact that we’re hopelessly losing to them even harder to take. We are too soft, lack quality.
  22. Gilsenan must be sat there watching Chrisene playing LW, trying to make sense of the world.
  23. Still waiting for that new manager bounce. 10 games and counting…
  24. We’ve done absolutely nothing, other than waste possession and concede the softest goal I can remember in living history. Struggling to find any positives from that half?
  25. Where’s the fight, the anger or desire? Sad to see what we have become. And, if we’re honest, Eustace isn’t going to be the man to do anything about it.
