  1. Mainly for him. He likes minecraft and this plants vs zombies thing. Anything else?

I enjoyed Transformers: Devastation (I'm guessing its aimed at kids!)

Depends what he's into really, the lego games are good from what I've experienced.Theres Disney infinity which covers a few different themes (I think)

  2. I finished Doom last night. Will play it through again for sure. Really enjoyed it but I grew up playing the original so i guess I'm a little bit biased.

The Witcher is also a class game, I'll be getting blood and wine but like yourself, I'll play it through again first, I started before I bought Doom, so might get back on it tonight.

  3. It's pretty good so far.

It's made by Bethesda so it encourages exploring for rewards. I am expecting some kind of game breaking bug in there somewhere.

Ultimately it's action packed and encourages you to be basically as brutal as possible. The Gory kills guarantee a health drop so you pretty much charge through a horde of enemies shooting and smashing everything in sight. There's also the inclusion or the classic Doom chainsaw for extra brutality.

You can upgrade weapons and armour and I've just come across an upgrade for health/armour/ammo capacity.

I can only see both the enemies and my guns getting bigger (BFG 9000 anyone?) Which is something to look forward to.

Won't be much in the way of story line I can't imagine, aside from what you'd expect.

I haven't played a FPS for a while so I'm quite enjoying it so far.

  4. Next game on the horizon for me is the new TMNT game, Mutants in Manhattan.

I'll probably get Doom when it gets to sub £25.

I rarely buy games at full price to be honest. As i had a voucher, got it for £37 new.

That turtles game looks like it could be fun, i bought transformers devastation which looks similar (hack and slash type game) I thought that was enjoyable, even if it was just for nostalgia moments.

  5. Maybe the QPR saga changed the rules to allow the Football League to still implement a fine, even if they are in the Premier League, for breaking the rules whilst playing in the Championship?

I dunno, BlueMonday is correct that they had to wait for QPR to be relegated before they could do anything but Bournemouth have also been fined despite still being a Premier League Club

  6. Surely fines by the football league are unenforceable when the club is in the Premier League.

At a guess, its because they broke the rules whilst playing in the football league but the details won't be available until the club submits their accounts, which presumably is done after they have already been promoted and playing in the premier league.

    Could be wrong though.

  7. Considering they're the 8th highest paid squad in the Prem I'm not surprised there are some clauses inserted - a lot of them will still be on stupid amounts even with 50% taken off. I wonder how much Rudy is on?

8th highest. Ok maybe not then.

I take back what i said about someone being switched on.

it's going to take some serious adjustments in the championship for these lot. Unless they get straight back up, another FFP ban being handed out.

  8. One of the reasons it could work to our advantage with the likes of Villa and Newcastle coming down - they will have to adjust massively. They aren't prepared for the Championship, whilst Norwich/Watford etc. are.

Seems mad, knowing how close Newcastle came to being relegated the previous season they haven't taken any precautions this time round. Signing players with no relegation clauses, no thoughts towards lower income or FFP implications

He'll be playing until he drops dead on that wage!

    Haha, well spotted sir!

If they still managed to get hit with a FFP ban with players only earning that much, what are they doing with the rest of the money they have!

  9. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/04/11/newcastle-would-have-to-pay-jonjo-shelvey-80000-a-week-in-the-ch/

The Geordies face to prospect of paying players like Shelvey huge wages should they be relegated as they didn't put any relegation clauses in the contracts.

Not sure what the parachute payments are these days but if they screw up promotion at the first time of asking, FFP would surely come along and bite them.

That article also states Scott Parker was on £75k (*Edit - Cheers DE) per week at Fulham last season, no surprise to see them get hit with a FFP ban with players earning that much.
