I ended up getting a £50 Amazon voucher, so effectively Doom cost me nothing 😉
-
Seems like this thread is completely dead but never mind.
The new Doom is sat waiting for me when i get home. Very much looking forward to it.
-
Apparently it's still in the pipeline, Brad Pitt was rumoured to be involved. But yeah, excellent show!
How good is SOA?
I need a series to watch

Maybe the QPR saga changed the rules to allow the Football League to still implement a fine, even if they are in the Premier League, for breaking the rules whilst playing in the Championship?
I dunno, BlueMonday is correct that they had to wait for QPR to be relegated before they could do anything but Bournemouth have also been fined despite still being a Premier League Club
-
Surely fines by the football league are unenforceable when the club is in the Premier League.
At a guess, its because they broke the rules whilst playing in the football league but the details won't be available until the club submits their accounts, which presumably is done after they have already been promoted and playing in the premier league.
Could be wrong though.
-
Didn't QPR already get hit with an £8m fine?
-
Bournemouth hit with £7.6m fine for breaching FFP rules when getting promoted.
-
Considering they're the 8th highest paid squad in the Prem I'm not surprised there are some clauses inserted - a lot of them will still be on stupid amounts even with 50% taken off. I wonder how much Rudy is on?
8th highest. Ok maybe not then.
Looks like Villa will be getting burnt with this lad though....-http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3549335/Aston-Villa-set-increase-Adama-Traore-s-wages-40-000-60-000-despite-relegation-winger-s-clause-contract.html
I take back what i said about someone being switched on.
it's going to take some serious adjustments in the championship for these lot. Unless they get straight back up, another FFP ban being handed out.
-
Despite Villa being an absolute shambles of a club, someone, somewhere was switched on enough to stick 50% pay cuts in the event of relegation.
Should help a little bit with FFP.

Aren't you going to reply to Vinjay, Vinjay?

One of the reasons it could work to our advantage with the likes of Villa and Newcastle coming down - they will have to adjust massively. They aren't prepared for the Championship, whilst Norwich/Watford etc. are.
Seems mad, knowing how close Newcastle came to being relegated the previous season they haven't taken any precautions this time round. Signing players with no relegation clauses, no thoughts towards lower income or FFP implications
He'll be playing until he drops dead on that wage!
Haha, well spotted sir!
If they still managed to get hit with a FFP ban with players only earning that much, what are they doing with the rest of the money they have!
-
The Geordies face to prospect of paying players like Shelvey huge wages should they be relegated as they didn't put any relegation clauses in the contracts.
Not sure what the parachute payments are these days but if they screw up promotion at the first time of asking, FFP would surely come along and bite them.
That article also states Scott Parker was on £75k (*Edit - Cheers DE) per week at Fulham last season, no surprise to see them get hit with a FFP ban with players earning that much.

I think this thread should be closed.
Not a cat in hell's chance of Rovers going down.
FFS!

It won't happen in a shootout because everyone's on the halfway line.
Offside can't be given because Suarez is behind Messi. Doesn't the player have to be ahead of the ball as well as the defence?
I think that's correct.
I seem to remember Mourinho going ape on the sidelines against us one time when they had a goal incorrectly ruled out for offside, after a Chelsea player was through on goal but squared it for another player to tap in. Should have stood because he was behind the ball.

So after 5 months of having no console to play on,this weekend should see it return.
I think I've forgotten how to play the Witcher but very much looking forward to getting back into it.
-
Love Duffer. Absolutely class winger, I was gutted when he left us.
Cheers for the good times, good luck in the future.

Woah, that FF7 remake looks awesome!

Sorry I thought you were on about Samba. My mistake.I am talking about Givet.
-
Wasn't that incident Givet? He kicked off under Sam, in the good old days before Kean. Didn't he even get skanked off a shop worker for 50k who picked him up from the airport or something strange?? Decent player, but alas, a money oriented, boat rocker. Samba too kicked up a fuss when he wanted a pay rise, so let's not kid ourselves that the players were angelic, fight for the badge types before egg head tipped up. We've always paid very well and often been held to ransom - the true gents, settled players and hardest workers are few and far between...and Ewood's finest chavs tend to boo those.
I don't recall Samba kicking off under Allardyce. Seem to remember he kicked off in January after Allardyce was binned off because he saw a good manager sacked for no reason and replaced with a total clown.
Who can blame him?

I have started streaming my play through of the PS4 hit, Until Dawn. For anybody that is unaware, it is a survival horror where all your choices matter, and it is bloody fantastic, and very scary/jumpy!!
Part one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-NK7Gcr-ok
Part two:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUemQq_Kotw
Part three will be released tonight, with a different part every night this week
Watched some of the first video, game looks good. Different to what you normally see.
Although, you dropped your mate in order to save your own skin, harsh man, harsh.

Everything so far about the new Star Wars looks on point, very optimistic, hope it isn't a let down.
I have high hopes for this. In fact, i am very much looking forward to it.
Never been much of a trekie but Abrams did a decent job of the 2009 film, so as a Star Wars fan, i'm hopeful he will get this one right also.
-
Anything less than a win at Bolton will leave us in deep, deep trouble. The only positive of drawing/losing that game is that it might be enough to trigger some serious dissent from the fans towards Bowyer, which could increase his chances of walking away.
Unfortunately for us, Venky's would probably then go and hire somebody even worse.
Craig short would be the worryingly obvious choice.
-
It'll probably be the reason I buy a PS4. I do have on a PS1 emulator where I installed it, decided to test it worked for 5 mins and lost 4 hours. So I promised myself I wouldn't play it again until I could play through it with my lad.
I think FF7 is one of those few older games that are still as good now, as I remember them being when they were first released.
-
The FF7 remake kind of makes me wish I had a ps4.
Although I have the original game on my phone!

I rarely buy games at full price to be honest. As i had a voucher, got it for £37 new.
That turtles game looks like it could be fun, i bought transformers devastation which looks similar (hack and slash type game) I thought that was enjoyable, even if it was just for nostalgia moments.
