Great piece Rich, not least regarding the manager.  The debacle in January was the defining episode for this season though: sell you best player, loan your captain and lose your manager under comical circumstances, and then bugger up (again) your signings.  Nearly killed us.

Kaminski was a massive loss, and a good keeper is so crucial, but apart from that I dont think there has been a massive change in quality since last year. Since BBD went Szmodics has more than filled his void as the goals tally show.

The difference for me has not been the squad quality, its been the escalating madness off the field leading to JDT leaving and the general confusion and demotivation round the squad.

And injuries.

I'm afraid that it will take a lot of improvement at the club to get me to buy a new ST.

I feel as if I've made the right decision.

I opted not to waste £10 after the 0-5.  Not watching through my fingers.

Another way to look at this season's calamity to acknowledge that two managers have got similar tunes from this set of players.

A lot to admire in yesterday's performance, especially the hard work, good shape and application.  A shame we couldn't make one of the many good opportunities tell. 

On Twitter Rich Sharpe notes that only one player starting was recruited in the last three windows.

Very pleased for the manager today.  He's a decent man, so let's hope he's a decent manager.
