Thanks Glen. It is interesting to read that Rovers hadn't had a bid accepted ahead of McGuire boarding his flight and rather at odds with the widely accepted accounts that we've had up to this point.
I have also been responsible for submitting documents to non-negotiable deadlines and it is routine that I ask the team member submitting for email confirmation that the documents have been received and accepted.

After this meeting and the events of the last week- I genuinely think this up there with as embarrassed and ashamed as I’ve ever felt about the club.
Worse than Shebby?

Frankly, if the meeting helps us get a result on Saturday then it's been a good thing.
Right now we need points. Other things can wait for another day IMHO.

A bungling CEO.
Who oversaw a second January transfer window in which his staff got it spectacularly wrong.
The same man who heard chants at the weekend of "Waggott out".
Brings in senior players to tell the fans, to their faces, to not create a toxic atmosphere.
I'd say that's pretty cynical and shameless all things considered.Maybe, but right now we need to get some points on the board.

Without being the meeting, it's difficult to work out how the discussion between fans and players unfolded, so I'm open-minded. That said getting the players together with fans' groups should be a good thing, surely?

Smoke and mirrors, it wasn’t submitted because it was never going to be. We don’t spend the money we make, so why bother ‘making’ any? May as well have kept Adam because that performance last Saturday is exactly what a Rovers team without him looks like. We used to be exciting but shite now we’re boring and shite.
Conspiracy bollocks.

who is ashfag hassan???never heard of him and not sure what cheston has to do with signing player registrations,he`s the finance controller(though he takes his orders from venkys and therefore it`s a pointless role)
Come on, let's leave people's names out of it.

There's enough stupidity on this site too.

There were issues though…the deal went through & was confirmed relatively late. Multiple journalists were saying there was a late snag…nothing we do presently is efficient/effective…clown car club
I've been wondering if we could hire a clown car to drive round EP, pre-match.

I think it's slightly naive to not think it personally.
Explain to me how this conspiracy works then.

So, let me know who is involved in the conspiracy? Waggot, GB, Silvester, anyone else?

Ok, before this conspiracy theory becomes accepted fact, by enough of us quoting and accepting it, I do not believe that the Venkys or anyone else deliberately allowed these transfers to get down to the last seconds and pieces of paperwork before intentionally sabotaging them.
There is no benefit to the club or Venky's in this approach, only severe reputational damage which lowers the financial value of the club.
Behind the scenes misunderstandings, differences of opinion, and sheer incompetence, yes, but planned chaos and fraud, I really don't think so.
There really is no benefit to anyone in this dysfunctional, immature, publicly self-destructive approach.
They save this stuff for the behind the scenes incompetent, naive destruction of our great club.
Exactly.

We don't know, but it looks that way.

Just to repeat: after last January's episode, which probably caused us a play-off place, SW stated that he should have been overseeing the transfer processes. So we can only assume that we "was in the building" this time and at some level in charge.

Well I never thought it would come to this, but as long as Venky's are the owners I am done with Rovers. I have been a fan since 93, but now sadly it stops. These owners are slowly killing my interest for the club. There have been so many many incidents since they took over, but these latest things...
I have had enough of these uprofessional owners! They show time and time again that they will never learn, and
nothing will ever change as long as they are still around.I hope to "see" you guys sometime in the future! Take care!
Swanson out!
Good grief, get back in the trenches with the rest of us.

You'd need to win the lottery every other year to fund Rovers at current losses.
